I see a lot of people around the net saying they can no longer log into Skype on their Skype S2. Simple next time you buy a mobile and are asked to do an update, UPDATE!

you might find it crap but i find it very nice , its the only phone which uses multitask, can use skype, browse web. and use msn in same time, with my 3g lg viewty if u use skype and want use other programe u will have to close skype .powerful mobile for nothing really prefere skyphone s2

To all 3 users in the UK - If you have one of the Skype phones and havent upgraded the Skype you may be getting a text from 3 mobile soon stating that "from the 4/04/2011 Skype will no longer work on your phone and you will need a new phone that skype is compatible with". If your using the newer versions of Skype you should be ok for the moment :-(

hi i had this phone, and its rubbish. not worth buying atall, and also maker of this vid, you dont need to go on messages to see the skype chat !!!!!!! JUST GO ON SKYPE AND PRESS NEXT!!!! people if u want this phone, its good for binning just dont buy this phone!!!

Well, who wouldnt want to make free global telephone calls eh?? I cant believe people are actually STILL paying to call abroad....! Its worth a who lot more then 40 quid - just watch that screen - easily scratched !

In order to top up your SKYPE S2 or any other 3 Net phone you goto MY 3 or MY Three in the 3 network browser ON YOUR S2 PHONE and look for accounts section. You have to register a debit /credit card or just go to a 3 Shop in town (in UK anyway) PE

I had and I let it get scratched and upgraded to a Nokia E63. But I miss it it was a very good phone and also had a good cam - esp the video section. ALL phone cameras are crap in low light. It took great pix. I DID have some initial problems with it switching off - for some reason this stopped when I started a new skype account with new log in - never had any problems after that. Good phone nice big screen..PE

im getting this phone soon and i have a had a look on the 3 website and i dont understand the monthly deals? do they send you a sim card then automatically take the monthly fee from your credit card? or do you have to keep topping up for the deal every month yourself??

i had this phone..is really good..apart from 4 reasons..

1. It keeps switching itself off constantly

2. Camera is really bad in low-light

3. I don't even know how to top it up!

4. It's so hard to transfer media to and from the computer

Id agree with your first 2 points, but for top up just go to a local off license and ask for a £10 top up voucher for 3 network.

Transfer is easy, via usb you have to go into the phone and select file transfer, youd usually get the notification on your phone once pluged into your pc

Thanks your review was the only review that persuaded me to get this phone :) I'm going to the 3 store sometime next weekend or the week after. Fantastic value for money i'd say.

how do you add a contact, do you just log their number and name as usual? Or must you accept their contact details first?

To add a contact: YOU should add a contact and they will get the request as normal. It does work the other way around too but delays etc can make that way around less reliable

yes facebook will be coutned as ur 150mb cause even thou it's an app u still have to use the 150mb

 yes msn is free on most of the 3 phones and is this one. it doesnt count at internet.

yes wen u top up and top up again ull have 300mb but still in 90 days

if u top up and the top u 89 days later it will only renew ur 90 days it wont add on

you review is good but you forget to mention one of the key selling point's of this phone?i have this phone and really think that it's one of the best pay as you go mobiles out there at the moment.not only do you get FREE skype to skype call even if you dont have any credit but also it is a mobile dongle which you can plug sraight into any laptop OR desktop p.c and be up and running with very fast broadband speed's in know time at all as the driver's are installed into the phone.(wasnt reviewed?

As mentioned in the video, Skype calls are free..it dosn't matter if you have £1,000 of credit or ZERO credit..it makes no difference..that's the whole point of this phone: FREE SKYPE

It's easily worth it to me.. think of the cost savings of using skype for free forever without having to top up.. IF you're a skype user, of course.. if you're not then this phone is probably not for you..

It does have a microSD slot: i believe it supports up to 4GB

Headphones: don't know: haven't tried it yet

hi, one of the features you said you didn't like was the fact that if your in skype when someone sends you a chat you have to go to messages to find it.

that isn't the case.

if you are in skype what you do is press the right button on the d-pad nd it will bring you to the chat screen.
