@robertgeorg Ya, the purpose of the game is to win it indeed. But the problem with DrunkBobby in this game was that he didn't know Idra was still a n00b and he didn't know how strong Roaches and Lings are against Stalkers, but he still went for blink nonetheless. In my opinion, DrunkBobby got lucky this game, because if those Roaches and Lings had better micro, then those Stalkers would be pwned, so DrunkBobby actually won because of his Naivety, not because he was playing perfectly.
Cheese isn't always all-in; I'm mainly talking about DT "rushes" (which are so easily scouted btw), which can hit the 5-6 minute mark push, yet if failed, Toss can usually continue to play normally (unless they did nothing but continue to create an army of DTs and wait for the opponent to push with a simple scout (DTs are pretty weak against most non-worker units).
@megapunchx2 Correct, altough I'de love to see you do a DT rush that arrives at the 5 minute (in-game timer) mark. The earliest you can get them is 6:30-ish with 4 gates, perhaps 20 seconds earlier with 3. And this is without getting any defences wich is as good as impossible in a ladder game, so usually a DT rush will arrive between 7 and 8 mins.

Protoss cheese is cannon rush, which can easily be countered if you scout it, but is almost overpowered if you don't see it. Zerg's main cheese is 6/7/9 pool, which is quite easy to wall off against. Terran doesn't have much earlygame cheese but has very powerful marine/SCV all ins and can bunker rush Zergs.

Your definition of macro is wrong. Macro is all the mechanics of the game (building buildings, units, expanding). It's basically your economy and your tech tree.

This wasn´t micro victory for DrunkBobby (tough his micro is quite good) but a macro loss for Idra. He had main and natural expansion and still a Protoss army outnumbered him. And said Protoss only had his main. Speedlings could´ve taken out those Stalkers if it was something like 2:1 or 3:1 or more ratio for speedlings.
IMHO IdrA "rages" only to preserve his raging image, so he can have something to be acclaimed about. He's a good player, but I hold a grudge on his invariable playstyle, and at late game he usually spams a single type of unit, namely ultralisks, and then rages about the race imbalance seeing how they don't cut it for some reason.
@Blazingwheel the number is how many workers he has before making the building so at 14 drones he made a spawning pool and at 15 he made hatchery. its the how most build orders are described

@Calinmmmm People say GG as in to surrender. It is just polite. It is like saying GL HF at the start of the game, it is just being polite. If you want to say that the game was ACTUALLY a really good game, then say GG, (to surrender) then Really WP. or Very GG. Saying GG just signals your defeat.
That was some impressing micro, too bad Blink isn't used that often these days for a strat like this. I always love when Idra QQs before losing a game, but when he doesn't say anything and just leaves is priceless - then you really know you've owned him good! ^^

Idra is weak against early attacks, if the early aattacks suceed Idra rages and loses, but in mid game and long game i hardly doubt that anyone would beat Idra and his master Macro.
I think i just beat Idra in a game.... his name was "EGIdrA" Can anyone explain to me how someone could have the same name? He always plays zerg, and the guy i played against was terran : /

the problem with IdrA is that if he can stop the cheese he automatically wins, his macro is too good to lose an advantage like that. Once IdrA gets into middle or late game he becomes unstoppable
@Arciaga cheese is a strategy that involves using cheap tactics early on in the game. such as photon cannon rushing or spore crawling rushing. theres a number of different strategies.
Never played SC, don't think I'm going to try it anytime soon, yet I just CAN'T stop watching these replays just for the amusement watching idrA rage gives me.

But I think people tend to hate IdrA because he often rages when he loses, and he is ALMOST ALWAYS loses in matches cast on YouTube. He is an excellent player, but he does share his replays, so when you see IdrA on YouTube he is usually beaten by the person who shared the replay. His wins on YouTube are 99% tournament play

@Calinmmmm People say GG as in to surrender. It is just polite. It is like saying GL HF at the start of the game, it is just being polite. If you want to say that the game was ACTUALLY a really good game, then say GG, (to surrender) then Really WP. or Very GG. Saying GG just signals your defeat.

@kissmeimirish121 "Cheese" is basically a strategy or build that a players can follow in-game but is considered "cheap" because it is usualy sneaky and/or unfair. This, however, was not "cheese" because micro-ing your blink stalkers so well takes a ton of skill and practice.

Idra is weak against early attacks, if the early aattacks suceed Idra rages and loses, but in mid game and long game i hardly doubt that anyone would beat Idra and his master Macro.

the problem with IdrA is that if he can stop the cheese he automatically wins, his macro is too good to lose an advantage like that. Once IdrA gets into middle or late game he becomes unstoppable

@Arciaga cheese is a strategy that involves using cheap tactics early on in the game. such as photon cannon rushing or spore crawling rushing. theres a number of different strategies.

@Gunner3210 You're certainly in good company (not including myself). But I think people tend to hate IdrA because he often rages when he loses, and he is ALMOST ALWAYS loses in matches cast on YouTube. He is an excellent player, but he does share his replays, so when you see IdrA on YouTube he is usually beaten by the person who shared the replay. His wins on YouTube are 99% tournament play
