I know I'm a bit late in finding and leaveing a comment but here I am. :) I still own and enjoy watching VHS. I'll never forget going into the old mom and pop video stores back in the mid 80's and being amazed at all the horror films and beautiful cover art on VHS. I watch dvd and enjoy them but there is something extra special about VHS covers. Personally I don't mind watching a older film and having a not perfect picture! I think a little grain adds charactor with old films. Yeah I'm odd.
VHS taoes are really cool...the only downside o them is the wear and tear on them. If it gets jammed up in your player the pic quality is immediatelly and forever compromised...plus the tape itself will start to break down after a while..becoming brittle..easier to snap. BUT..I still like VHS..and for that reason invested in a VHS to DVD recorder.
@1weirdgurl.. I loved One flew over the cuckoo's nest.. I am sure you will not be disappointed... By the way.. Where do you store all these movies? .lol.. I have a ton and running out of room.. Did you have a chance yet to work on my list for asian horror? Great update. IF you get a chance look at mine i put up.

You should watch Curse 2 the bite it is a great film. Great vhs haul. Body Bags is oop on dvd now i thing. I always remember that phantom of the opera case. What were some of the other big boxes they had?
Meatloaf in The pick of destiny the tenascious d movie was classic, no I didnt know he made a new cd, don't really keep up with him now jus liked the bat of hell album =) thanks for commenting!

I have never heard of hatchet for the honeymoon either but it seems cheese-tastic!!! I haven't watched snake eater yet I am still pissed at myself for not checking the tape ...grrrr....I love flea markets especially in the south everything is cheap,but alot of the time the stuff is worn out =*( but so far so good =)
Those are some cool VHS tapes! 'Making Contact' is really cool...and rare, out of print on DVD. I love the cover art on those tapes! I remember the 'Media' company.
The guy had 2 compies of that movie and I opened up the other one and it was in there, but I must have put it down and picked up the other one =*( Yes thats a SNES on top of the TV I have SNES,N64,NES, sega genesis all on my old ass emerson tv,and the game in the SNES is battle toads in battle maniacs!!! glad you liked my update!

Making contact is supposed to be good. I know a few people that have the dvd. It's pretty hard to find....Willies looks cool.....Phantom of the Mall I've heard is pretty good as well. Body Bags....Maniac...you picked up some really good ones...great video!

People are more likely to give you crap about actually buying CDs than because you like Meat Loaf. So many people these days download (legally and illegally.)
I buy alot of my VHS based on the cover--I dont really buy cds anymore either-mostly because I dont like alot of new music, so what I like I already own ...lol...I think the VHS of body bags is uncut, I will have to double check! thanks for commenting!
I gave away about 400 VHS A couple of years ago to make some room i wish i didnt now though i like the way they look. lot better than DVD/

i love those flea market places,you can get some real weird stuff ,trouble with vhs though some usualy end being crap and you cant take them back.
