it never made sense why the ship was made at earth (since all the clones and their donors were from space) and then so far from space at the beginning..it could have just orbited earth....and waited till conditions were better...
At the end of the episode didn't it go "deep water, deep water blaaack"? is that why I have that in my head? I used to watch this a little but a while ago and I barely remember it.
I fucking loved this show, awesome. Bren and Lise were my favorites, I always wanted them to get together. I never found out how the show ended? did they get to earth?
In the book: They go back to Earth, find that nature has rebuilt the Earth into essentially what it was, just without people. The genebank on their ship is for animals, so they set it up to make a bunch of animals, the other deepwater has the people half, so they go loot the wreck for it. Yuna dies. They repopulate Earth. The end.
The show: They come across the planet (and person) Aurora. Reb appears to consider staying, Bren considers staying with someone too.
If memory serves, it was a cliffhanger. The second season wasn't picked up, but it was most likely going to (loosely) follow the book. Shame they didn't make more. It was awesome while it lasted. Also, it's not like any of the actors/acresses are up to anything anymore. They should make more. CGI would be awesome for it.
i remmeber this show.i used to watch this show when i was like 5 or 4.sci-fi was fucking blazing with shows like forever knight and stuff dude and im like 14 now shit.there still blazing now well kinda but they rock stiil
If you go to the tvshowsondvd website and vote to have it on DVD, there is a chance it will be available for purchase. I can't post the link. Sorry but it you search for it you'll be able to find it.
I enjoy how it's almost all Nicole DeBoer and G. M. Woolvett in the opening sequence. Seems a little... Biased. Though ironic that those two were the ones that went onto be series regulars in Gene Roddenberry related shows. Good Canadian casting, though!
i have the full show on dvd. pm me if you are looking for it.
