They pushed for banks to give loans to people who wouldn't have qualified based on income, down payments, etc. They think everybody should be a homeowner. Well, they're wrong. Can't make the payments, don't take out the loan. You have to plan for down times. I'm sure Waters supported the funding for ACORN (radical leftist group) that was taken out after Americans caught onto it! The nerve of them even trying to pass that!
it's losers like this that caused this mess with housing giveaways and bad credit loans. there is no provision in the bail out bill stopping fannie and freddie from continuing this insanity. why doesn't congress stand up and admit they were wrong. REPEAL the COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT!!!!
