My fioncee bought me a police scanner, I pick up the Chicago police, The dispatcher radios to officer on possible break in, (home owner calling) :officer answers "which one do you want me to go to first" (he was on a call for something else bad) Another officer radios back, "we cant come we have injuries" (at an auto accident) Then dispatcher radios third officer off his call, telling him to respond to possible break in. I had two close calls over the years with pistol wielding punks trying to rob me and take my tools while working, and where, you guessed it, Chicago. My fioncee bought me a police scanner, I pick up the Chicago police, The dispatcher radios to officer on possible break in, (home owner calling) :officer answers "which one do you want me to go to first" (he was on a call for something else bad) Another officer radios back, "we cant come we have injuries" (at an auto accident) Then dispatcher radios third officer off his call, telling him to respond to possible break in. I've heard in NYC you have to have about 12 Permits to own a gun. Permit to buy a gun, Permit to buy ammo, Permit to ASSEMBLE your gun, etc.. Many of these gun control advocates will not stop until they have regulated gun ownership out of existence.

I live in the suburbs of shit-cago. I'm self employed, and In my job I travel all over northern Illinois working on building exteriors. I had two close calls over the years with pistol wielding punks trying to rob me and take my tools while working, and where, you guessed it, Chicago. I now refuse projects there because the damn place is outta' control. Never had a problem elsewhere in the burbs. That gun ban is really working Mr. Mayor.

People like Daley are the reason why Chicago has the gun violence that it has. By disarming the law abiding public, you leave honest people defenseless. If you are so against guns, why do Chicago police carry them? There are over 100 million law abiding gun owners in this country who use guns to protect the lives of loves ones, prevent crime and ensure freedom. I think if Daley lived in certain neighborhoods, he'd think differently about allowing honest citizens the right to defend themselves.
