Brilliant - great album and this tune in particular has been rattling around in my head for 30 years now (egad!) and is one of my fave's of the early 80's. I really like this version...nice to see these well written, solid songs still evolving.
The only way to get this for free is to use a mike and record it for on a cassette Im not into ipods i helped this girl put stuff in an ipod it took 3 hours and we couldnt get anything good for free
@KobezBro someone said there is a way of encapsulating videos in your email so that if they get taken out you still have it but its too much pomp and circumstance for me
Im waiting for the Disney machine to use this to promote one of their kiddie shows. Like they have many of the tunes from the 80's new wave era. The funny part is when my kids are boppin' around the house singing the Engish Beat's "Melt with you" or "Were the Kids in America" or something from that era that Disney redid, they are quite suprized to learn the song their boppin to is twice as old as they are.
YW, i love this version but of course the original is the best. if you listen to, i think, the left side of your speakers during the intro, you can really hear what walbourne adds to the band.
he is the deeper side. Chrissie has come a long way, too. during the intro she used to play 2 chords but now she actually plays it. she claims she is bad but without her tele the sound is useless. well there are sounds where she doesnt play but you get it
One of her most brilliant songs, and I do not believe that she wrote this for some nameless hanger-on that she never spoke a word to ... I bet she wrote it truthfully ...
She didn't write it ABOUT him, she's clearly writing from HIS perspective. Its genius. I fully believe her story about it being inspired by the guy at the soundchecks she never spoke to.
Wow thank god for someone for sharing this Itunes thing, I hate them for making this Itunes only, music should be for all, not for some greedy cooperation.
I believe there are three people in the photo pretending to be Pretenders.

@spacepatrolman Or you could, of course, use a YouTube to MP3 converter.

This is a pretty interesting version. Sounds like a demo, of course, but they're not always that bad.
