To the drug comment. If she is on the juice it would only be to level the playing field. I train at the same gym as her and have run with her and that woman trains hard. Drugs dont make you a super athlete they just make you a bit better. You cant be slow get on the juice and become a olympic athlete.Get a clue people. Torri good luck babe we are all cheering you on and cant wait till you get back and show us your new gold medals. Kick there ass hottie
She's good I just watched her run the 1st heat in the 100m at the Olympics in Bejing. She was only going half speed also. Can't wait to see here win that Gold!!!
Come on, folks, let's be real. She anticipated the start with her torso, and her feet did not come off the blocks, so, it wasn't detected. But, it threw her off her game because naturally, in that position, you think, to STOP! I almost fell out of the blocks in the set position once in 110HH, it wasn't noticed, and i had to do some major catching up to win that race. In Olympics, there's no real such thing as catching up.
The Jamacians are always saying "watch out Americans". Well when are yall going to step up? Torri got banned for 15 months and she hasn't lost a step. I hope Lisa Barber can get her finishes together and she will be a threat for the Americans as well.
wow let me think, a population of over 250 million people and one of the wealthiest countries in the world, versus a country of just under 3 million people and lower middle income country, think about that for a minute then think about the accomplishment in sprints and lets see
What you also have to understand is that the best US athletes are not going into Track. They choose the NFL and the NBA over track the majority of the time. So even though the track athletes are great, there are millions more that you never see actually on the track. They have other more lucrutive options when it comes to sports. In Jamaica I don't know what sport other than soccer could be lucrutive for them. What does the population have to do with it? I'ts about talent, training and effort.
Soccer? What the hell is that? There is nothing, however, lucrative about 'FOOTBALL' here. Again this is where America gets things wrong. We know more about you guys than you know about us. The best paid sports people in Jamaica overall comes from athletics. But of course, you guys have your heads so far up your own asses you know nothing about anyone else. I wonder why most people hate you guys so, and before you say it, we only want to come there because of the economy.
You failed to comprehend my post. I clearly said that Track is the most lucrative option for sports in Jamaica. Then I said the only other sport to be an option is soccer. If you don't think soccer is a lucrative sport then you are just uninformed. You don't make the money by staying in Jamaica and playing just like in Track. You make the money by becoming one of the best and signing a lucrative contract. What don't you understand about that?
Again population size and material resources means you have more people to choose from and better equipment to use. You need to think about that little fellow.
Maybe if you take the emotion and hate out of your argument you will see the obvious truth. If population size is so significant then why doesn't China and India dominate the medal count. Once again it is about talent. And like I said before our best athletes don't even run track. They go to more lucrative sports. I just destroyed your argument again. And I didn't have to stoop to childish name calling. I can debate quite intelligently and civilly. Can you?
