You know sommat. It was never always as British as this. I used to live there and back in 1994 there was only ONE , yes ONE British Pub (that was The Drunken Duck) all the rest were Greek. La Rocca was in a different place and there was far less tat and tack. No fast food shops. No Happy Train. Just nice and Greek and continental. As for quad bikes.... never had em...just little mopeds and push bikes. I miss how it used to be but I still love to go go back
Thanks for a trip down memory lane...my husband and I love Stalis in fact went there for three years on the run but stayed at different places. So many familiar places and our favourite bar "Rhythm Bar " and our usual seats overlooking the strip great place for people watching and they do a great cocktail as well lol ah well sadly no hols this year but we can dream XX
oh my god ... you totally made my day..i've worked in stalis last summer for 4 months and the place with the henna tatoo that u got on your camera, the guy working there is my boyfriend ..:)
i'll be leaving again for stalis in exactly 2 months..just can't wait..your video made me so much more excited than i already was
the shop you film at 6.minutes in to your video i am very good freinds with . his name is Zakaria who owns the shop and next time i go back in 2011 and shall also make a video and show you ...thanks for this .. made my day
@mikeyoung20074U That shop has to be the BEST shop in Stalis. The video doesn't do it justice: it just goes back for ages, & is crammed with very very interesting stuff. I could spend hours in there & wanted almost everything on sale there. Unfortunately, we had no money to spend on the splendiferous stuff your mate had on sale there, but credit to Zakaria. A wonderful shop crammed with extremely interesting artifacts & unusual ephemera. More power to his elbow.
