  • I like to believe Neil Gaiman hides in bushes and watches little children while wearing a trench coat in real life too.

  • Show don't tell Sue Ellen, god-damn

  • @joeldipops Also. Old guy in a black coat hiding in the bushes wit h a 10 year old. >LOL

Also, I damn well hope people want up to him after this at signings and demanded free shit to inspire then or w/e

  • And they lived happily ever before, which is the same as after only in reverse :)

    Nice!

  • Coraline? Really? In Arthur?

  • Neil Gaiman is badass

  • Whoa! Coraline Graphic Noval in Arthur? ......SHOCKER

  • I've always loved Arthur and always will. Now, they have my current favorite author in an episode! Speaking of which, the Neil Gaiman books I've read are Coraline, Neverwhere, Stardust, and, currently, American Gods. My brother has The Graveyard Book, so that's on my reading list

  • Neil Gaiman speaks to me through my milkshake

  • Well, it's really just a narrative with illustrations. So it is more of an illustrated novel then a graphic novel.

  • I just discovered that this exists. Will never stop watching.

  • Your blood is cold...... Yeah, because he's freaking British.

  • I have never tried a falafel. Nor have I ever wanted to try one. However, after this episode I am craving one. Thank you Neil.

  • i want to pet neil gaiman

  • "You can't just abandon your falafel like that!"

  • That was so weird. I have the image of a tiny cat Neil Gaiman reclining on falafel permanently etched into my brain now.

  • -You can't assume your audience are all squares

    -o_O?

-Ok, scratch that joke - it's a bit before your time...

    Purrfect!

  • Neil Gaiman cat!

  • "What are you doing in my falafel?"

    Sounds dirty... XD

  • i read coraline best book ever

  • My life is now complete.

  • Too cute! Arthur's the best ;3

  • I now have faith in humanity. Although they should have had him as Cabal!

  • Shoulda given her a copy of Sandman #6. "Freaky", indeed!

  • An "Inner Neil" sounds like a body part.

  • @Paycheck125 omai.

  • HE WRITES THE BEST EPISODE OF DOCTOR WHO EVER.

  • @katherineisastar Neil Gaiman is a brilliant writer. And he stars in an episode of the best children's show ever.

  • Lol Advertisement much.

  • funny seeing neil as a dog creature thing.

  • "shouldn't you be in my falafel or cereal or something?"

    O-o

    O_O

  • whos niel gaiman ? all i know is he dress's like a cool vampire .

  • @amsooldnot hi write coraline and some numbers of spawn, this guy is asome!!

  • Neil Gaiman is my inspiration as a [amateur] writer and producer. He's really an inspiration.

I even named my blog after this. XD

  • In Arthur's reality, celebrities are the nicest people in the whole world. :)

  • After watching this episode I looked more up about Neil Gaiman being a huge fan of his book Coraline and I recently took out the Graveyard Book from the library. I can't wait to start it.

  • I cannot describe how I'm feeling right now. But this episode might be the most wonderful and marvelous episode of any cartoon ever!

  • "And they all lived happily ever before, which is the same as after, only in reverse." Straight out of Neil Gaiman's books.

  • this has all the best things in life: arthur, neil gaiman, and falafels

  • This might be the most hilarious thing I have seen...yeah, it is. Love you, Neil <3

  • "You can't assume your audience are all squares!" hahahahahahahaahaha

  • "You can't just abandon your falafel!" I am dying

  • This never gets less hilarious.

  • I'd give up both my legs to have Neil Gaiman appear in my falafel.

  • Inner Neil. LOVE.

  • I LOVE HIM! I LOVE HIS DOCTOR WHO EPISODE WAS THE BEST.

  • Neil Gaiman does what he wants

  • Wow who knew Sue-Ellen was psychotic and has cannibalistic vore-based fetish of eating people.

  • He looks so much like Morpheus from his sandman series in this

  • YOU CAN'T JUST ABANDON YOUR FALAFEL LIKE THAT!

  • I don't remember anybody's voice being that annoying.

  • Graphic novel...is that a novel, with graphs?

  • Based God is a circle

  • oh /mu/.

  • HAHAHA YOUR BLOOD IS COLD :D

  • Wow...I did not realize that Arthur was supposed to be set in the real world. Neil Gaiman is truly awesome to take time to appear on a kid's show like this :)

  • @Dragonstorm787 Well yeah they had Mr Rodgers on it before he died too.

  • Hmm...Neil Gaiman pops up as Sue Ellen's "Inner muse". Very similar to the Lord of Dreams from The Sandman...

    Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

  • @nepomusik Burney...

  • Oh gosh, Arthur is full of so much WIN!!!

  • Now if only they could get Alan Moore!

  • I gotta say, among all of the celebrities to guest star on Arthur, Neil Gaiman is the most random. Yeah, even more random than Ming Tsai, Frank Ghery, the Car Talk guys and Yo-Yo Ma.

  • This is the guy who writes about man-eating vaginas. It begs the question as to how they even let him anywhere near the Arthur show's production.

  • @TheAtroxious He also writes children's books, like Graveyard Book and Coraline.

  • @TheAtroxious I know alan moore has books like that, when did neil do one?

  • @deisels American Gods.

  • What's funny is that his graphic novels are universally unsuitable to kids, at least if you're a prude.

  • @knifeofspaghetti but he does write childrens' books!

  • @knifeofspaghetti Well, I can probably handle them. I'm 13 and I read Alan Moore

  • This is amazing! I loved Arthur, and Neil Gaiman as a kid, and I still love both now (Neil Gaiman more so now, as I can read more of his stuff as it's more age appropriate now!) so this is completely perfect :)

Such an adorable story, for adults and children alike!

Now, where's that Neil Gaiman cook book?

    xx

  • I have two books signed by Neil and this episode aired on my birthday. And I'm a writer. AND I love Arthur even though I'm in college. Clearly someone knows too much about me. *searches room for cameras*

  • CUE SPECIAL EFFECTS! Only Neil could do it

  • This is so great that I feel a keyboard smash coming on jklasd;fiuhawe;ihaiuerhgf;aher;ga;ergh;aujhdf;uaher;fhae;]h;iou4r4r4334r4\e. Yep. I knew there was a reason I still watch Arthur.

  • Why hello there, children. I bet your mother doesn't let you read ALL of Neil Gaiman's stories. :D

  • He really wants a free book.

  • That was cute

  • "You're the real Neil!"

"Depends on what you mean by 'real.'"

Breaking the fourth wall there? Does nothing get past this man?! Even when he's an animated feline?!

  • He doesn't need the extra hot sauce anymore. Now he has Amanda.

  • The entire time I'm waiting for Morpheus to burst out and sentence Buster to endless waking.

  • Comment removed

  • My boyfriend and I are obviously dirty minded, as we both burst out laughing in horror at "You're very big today!" at 7:20

  • That was great...

and reminded me of how much I love Neil Gaiman

and how much I love Arthur

  • "With extra hot sauce...your blood is cold"

  • Awwww....I want a little Neil Gaiman.

  • Neil Gaiman taught me a really good lesson...never abandon your falafel =D

  • @SergBeret AND that warm smoothies are like fruity bathwater

  • I always watch this whenever I go to English class, it always cheers me up.

  • Comment removed

  • I wish I had an inner Neil- oh, no, I mean a Neil inside me.

  • also, is the falafel guy the circus guy in coraline?

  • wow. havent watched arthur in years. found this when youtubing neil. good stuff

  • What a cute little story, this show is every bit as good as I remembered it as a kid.

Althought it's weird that I was once the same age as them, they stayed the same, but I'm now an adult.

This reminds me, I must finish my Australian Steampunk Western graphic novel, but I've hit a huge writing block.

  • Comment removed

  • @0BatGirl0 Get past that writing block! I know what that feels like since I'm going through a funk with my webcomic, but don't let it stop you. Listen to your favorite music, start something else for a while that's shorter, but keep writing because only you can tell your story, as Neil says.

  • @0BatGirl0 Australian Steampunk Western graphic novel?! I WOULD TOTALLY BUY THAT

  • @DuchessAliana Awesome, you can see some of it on my DeviantART. Just search Flint Dawson or Amelia Harker or Once Upon a Time in Australia... Probably should organise my gallery a little better.

  • @0BatGirl0 Found them! They look awesome :D

  • Fuck you, Falafel Guy. If I want hot sauce, I'm gonna have some hot sauce.

  • @TenWhoWereTaken Not when he's the one pouring!

  • I love Neil Gaiman. This totally inspired me to work on my NaNoWriMo story. P:

"You can't just abandon your falafel like that!"

  • Still better than Gunnershit Fail.

  • "circles and triangles? Who'd like that"

have you READ Ctrl+Alt+Del Sue ellen? shitty art is pretty popular.

  • falafels are sooo delicious and awesome! im hungry now lol and im liking sue ellens story

  • 3:57 STOP EATING NEIL GAIMAN

  • I would buy the heck out of the Neil Gaiman Cookbook.

  • Neil is one of the most epic guest stars in Arthur history!

  • I wonder what a Neil Gaiman cookbook would be like...

  • Neil Gaiman's voice is like smooth, liquid SEX.

  • NEIL GAIMAAAN AAAAAAHHH *dies*

  • Anyone know where this is up for download? I just loved it!!

  • I LOVE HOW NEIL GAIMAN IS IN ARTHUR.

But Brain sounds like a chick.

And they didn't say anything about P. Craig Russell. :(

    WHATEVS, STILL TOO MUCH AWESOME.

  • Anybody else using his advice for NaNoWriMo??

  • I always knew Aurthur was an awesome show :3

  • This is so awesome! Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors, and I love sharing his books with children.

  • His book signings are never this calm XD This is adoooorable.

  • @Billie4Mozzarella Wow....they're crazy, huh? I'd like to see that. :3

  • I like how he's animated in a bright and colorful kids show, and he STILL looks and dresses like a vampire.

  • @zjc92 Because that's how he dresses, why would they change it for a children's show? Captain Obvious yo.

  • I need some falafel now... I might find inner Neil there. He seems to like falafel.

  • You can't just abandon your falafel!

  • i want an inner neil!!

  • NIEL GAIMAN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY FALAFEL!?

  • @ChoopaEverywhere how many times have we seen that? It's like "Neil gaiman! What are you doing in my cereal!?" and then at lunch it's like "Neil Gaiman! What are you doing in my pita?" and then "Neil Gaiman! What are you doing in my rice?" We're still waiting for that cook book Mr. Gaiman. *sigh* lol. :D

  • sweet, I want to draw neil gaiman from the show he looks so cool!

  • When I heard Neil Gaiman made an appearance on Arthur, I was surprised. Usually the celebrities voices on Arthur are not British writers with a dark frame of mind in general. This was great fun and, well...Very Neil.

  • Oh awesome! Thanks much for posting this!

  • @TheGreatBooster

Agreed! I have seen Neil Gaiman on Arthur. My life is now complete.
