Although I agree pills could lead to problems like coeliac's disease, milk allergies etc because of the food additives put in them, I have had great results with Nexium. It's great to burp a 'sweet' burp for once and not feel your throat is catching fire.

@Askimoula so is there future punishment for this "good" pill? since that's the case with most things in life, enjoy it now - suffer later. regardless, i took samples of nexium, only took only 1 pill a day and was acid-free for a week. no more vomiting acid crawling up my throat, no more fire burps when going to bed. and you don't feel a cloggy throat when swallowing the capsule. it gets a A+ from me.

Try Somac, better results for me- I have the same symptoms on Nexium plus my blood pressure goes over the top- also fails to control my symptoms even makes it worse.

Also Calcium Carbonate antacids are good.

I am scared to take it because I took Prilosec 4 months ago and I had to stop because it gave me wired ass head aches!!! So I am suppose to take 40mg of Nexium! My mom is taking them and she said she had a mild head ache but then went away! I have been sick with breathing issues, tired, dizzy, hart flutters, lump in throat, waking up feeling of having to vomit and all other things! What a bunch of lies. Nexium does nothing but lowers the stomach acid thus reducing even more body's ability to digest the food. As we age our body produces less stomach acid. Drink 1 table spoon of organic apple cider vinegar with the glass of water twice a day, this will cure your indigestion and heartburn, also eat apple seeds. Don't take any Nexium!

You should insist with doctors to test the stomach acid before actually taking betaine or something like Nexium.

You may actually need Nexium(temporaruly), with antibiotics, if you have a severe H. Pylori infection in the stomach.

I've taken this for 5 years now, couldnt live without it. Take in the morning for best results. I have taken omeprazole but I find this much more effective. The cost doesnt effect me though because I'm on the NHS

Whats not mentioned here is that It lowers the progression of the alveoli in the lungs. Therefore, if you are asthmatic or suffer from breathing difficulties of any sort, consult a general practitioner or a Doctor before consumption. 9/10 times a Doctor will ask you you first. But just be careful. Your health comes first!

Omeprazole is NOT the same as Esomeprazole... Essentially, both have pretty similar basic structure. However, they are different isomers. S isomer Omeprazole (Esomeprazole/ Nexium) binds better to the target molecule compared to to R isomer (Losec). Hence, Nexium is more effective than Omeprazole....
