i once made that and suddenly there was lots of blood coming out.i think ive popped a blood vessel and a thick one i guess cuz it felt a lil pain and it was a lil bit hard going in... how to avoid that next time???
1) Before you inject, draw back on the needle to make sure you aren't in a vein. You want the meds to go in a muscle, not a vein. If you get blood, pull it out an try another spot.
2) Make sure you're not wearing something tight above the injection site. If restrict blood flow, you increase the blood pressure and it will bleed more.
3) Leave it in for a few seconds after you inject, then pull it out.
If it does bleed, apply pressure so you don’t get a deep bruise. (leg will ache)

Thanks so much for posting this video. My doc has Rx'd me testosterone for a low-T issue. It took 2-+ weeks for the pharmacy to get the stuff in which meant I'd forgotten the tips he gave me for injecting. I did my first injection this morning with a 22-gauge needle and while I THINK I got the muscle, it isn't as sore or hurting the way it did when I've received IM injections in the past... Crap. yes you can do this with steroids, or any intramuslcar injection,
exterior thigh can take upto 4ml of medicine and is easy to get too so is ideal for most injections including steroids, any one whom wishes to inject in the deltiod be warned 1ml maximum or you risk an absess!

@MafiasCreation Practice on a small orange or tangerine. Do it over and over until you are confident and/or you're soaked in dripping orange juice. Remember, as long as you do it quickly she will barely feel a thing, and you will be helping to make your mom better.
I was taught to actually Pinch the Muscle and then Hold it and inject into that Part of the Leg, sometimes totally Painfree and no Blood. Other Times I am sore and Bleed a little after the Shot.....
