  • I own the movie, i brought it to school to watch in science class and some kids got scared....i laughed my head off, cause it was the perfect timing too

  • 12 or not i think i'll give it a body swerve

  • a twelve year old did this? wow this really made me think how sucky i am at things

  • If you had been dead and rotting for some time before being resurrected, would you really be able to run? Think about it logically. The muscles are all atrophied. Emily knows what James Gunn doesn't.

  • Keep it up! Most people only talk about doing things like this; no matter what the outcome, you saw it through. Great work!

  • Very nice! Just saw the documentary about this.

  • aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the little boy running around the hose is my cuz im not kidding HI GIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I bought a copy of the movie from the Documentary Channel & thought it was wonderfully campy

  • I just watched the documentary about the making of this her mom..did like 90% of the work and she is on film a ungrateful spoiled little fucking brat...its disgusting to watch this self absorbed creep treat her mom like shit so she can "make" this junk.

  • Way to just go and pursue your dream...Keep up the good work I am sure you have inspired a tun of other kids to do the same!

  • i havent seen the movie yet but i want to i just saw your documentary last night Zombie Girl: The Movie it was pretty cool i bet those people were really bored for those 4 hours in front of the grocery store hahahaha. i love you emily!

  • @holcutie if you had seen how she bossed around all those ppl and managed to make a good movie not to mention dark funny to be a 12 year old, and the actors was so funny they all seemed so careless . if you can make better why dont you link me ur video

  • I think you did a great job. Especially for your age. I know people see it differently and at least you out actually doing what you believe in while others sit back and Complain. good job :D

  • really?? can we say this was some feat?

or was it just a bunch of amateur looking camera work, perfectly adapted for.....youtube...?

(that got way more exposure than it should have.) How many 12 year olds are making equal to better stuff out there than this?? THOUSANDS.

  • check out TMFTMovies, watch pathogen 1

  • just finished watching the bio on this its cool

  • @jerihane

    ahaha me too

  • im a friken 11 year old filmmaker!!!! (totally insperational)

  • Holy crap! I still can't believe she was 12 when she did this. You know what I was doing when I was 12? Watching cartoons! This girl knows how to get things done.

  • CinemaProFilms....SHE IS TWELVE! jeeze! you cant expect a 12 year old to be an amazing movie maker! for one her camera could be better....and two she had limited resourses...give her some slack man

  • 12 or not.. Pretty stupid.. Ever heard of a tri-pod? You can make one out of a fucking mop if you had to.

  • @IneverJustDie

1, can you really make a tripod out of a mop? Wouldn't you need three mops? Unless you're cutting the one mop into three pieces, in which case you'll be having a lot of low angle shots.

2, saving private ryan used handheld cameras, do you want to lobby the same complaint against that film?

  • lol...tomato..

  • for a 12 yr old it was just fine ! What were people expecting ?? Spielberg ?

  • The premise is horrifying. Good job Emily.

  • From one AustinTX resident to another good job Emily Hagin!!!! I mean what 12 year old girl has the balls to make a zombie film, she did what any adult wouldnt, make an original zombie flick, all ive seen lately are remakes!!!!! if she had a shit ton of money i bet george ramero would want to make movies with her!!!

  • So How many 12 year old girls have what it takes to put together a feature length film with effects, a cast of over 20 and a large crew? Well done Emily, well done. Can't wait to see "My Sucky Teen Romance."

  • This movie was too short. Most of it is setup and it doesn't work because most of the acting isn't very good. It eventually picks up, but we only get a 1/2 hour's worth of zombies and survival. Way too short.

  • @CinemaProFilms The shot was focusing on the knife; not the tomato.

  • IM GOING TO BE HONEST BUT THAT WAS TERRIBLE!!!!!

  • Shaun of the Dead meets Shorts lol

  • dude, she rocked this to be as young as she was. And I love all things zombie...

  • Great Job! I have to give her props this is pretty darn good for a 12 year old dang. I started making movies when I was 14 and when I got my first camera I had a passion for filming since then now I'm upgrading on gear and I'm filming movies and I go Big or Not at All!

  • this is at least PG 13 . sorry Emily, you can't see your won movie

  • I just bought this movie. Can't wait to get it.

  • I just saw the documentary about this.. :D soo cool!

  • anyone saying anything bad about this girls movie....make one better or shut up. (:

  • She did a really good job on this. It is nice to see a young person like that driven to achieve her goals.

  • Great job with the budget and idea. So young and doin your thing. Need makeup effects for your next one, hit me up! Good job, Emily. Keep it up.

  • Great job with the budget and idea. So young and doin your thing. Need makeup effects for your next one, hit me up! Good job, Emily. Keep it up.

  • Great job with the budget and idea. So young and doin your thing. Need makeup effects for your next one, hit me up! Good job, Emily. Keep it up.

  • She wasn't doing it wrong. Everyone has their own version of zombies. They're dead so they're supposed to be slow. The fast kind of zombies are the newer version. I think she did a fantastic job on the movie.

  • @FreakoBambi I agree. Zombies have been slow since the beginning. Dead people aren't fast.

  • Hey! Just saw "Zombie Girl" on TV. Wanted 2 see Pathogen! But it's sold out!!!

  • you should start selling dvds again, just saw the "Zombie Girl" on TV and it looked pretty good, so I went to your site and saw that it was sold out. I'm a huge buff of homemade films, so I hope I can get a copy.

  • @animeJAKass86 fast zombies are cooler but she wanted to show the zombies are dead rather then more alive

  • @redsky822 Nope, you are doing it wrong.

  • @animeJAKass86 I FEEL A SMACK'A'BITCH COMIN' ON! O_O

  • @animeJAKass86 Not the classic old school zombies; they're slow. Don't believe me? watch Night of the Living Dead (1960)

  • i saw zombie girl the movie today and i think it is absolutely great that a girl so young is so determined and willed enough to make a feature length film!! this movie looks awesome i reallyu want to see it!! emilys story is very inspiring

  • I just watched the documentary of this, i'm not sure if i can wait to see the film it's self.

Also it would seem that Emily is the young female vertion of George Romero

  • Awesome job Emily! I can't wait to see the full film.

  • let's see your COOL zombie movie!...ooh, wait, that's right.

  • i saw this movie its pretty good for a 12 yr old. her mom did almost all the visual effects tho

  • ........ I do admire her for attempting to make a movie at 12.... but can someone tell me what the tomato is for?

  • Its not for anything. Its just a prop. Trust me I watched the film.

  • ah, I see

  • @macandfriends I think the shot was focusing on the knife

  • 0:53 makes you say ALL GLORY TO THE PATHOGEN

  • lol! Your comment made me laugh!

  • Quit replying to yourself you idiot. You make me laugh. Emily is 17 now and is already nearly done another film. Your 3 years too late. Oh and have you even SEEN the film? I thought it was crap at first but then I bought it. And now its number 2 on my favorite zombie movies (behind 28 Days Later). Watch the damn film before you say its crap. (Even though this trailer DOES suck and make the film look like shit)

  • Well i disagree. I think she did a wonderful job and at such a young age too! I believe she has great potential and that despite what others have said... she COULD be the youngest person to ever take the most illegal substances in the time of 2 weeks...

  • I agree with the previous comment...

  • God forbid...

  • That would surely be the day society as we know it has come to an end...

  • Thanks for the support! Everyone else here is retarded. Imagine this ever becoming popular!

  • I'M WITH YOU!!!

  • Quick! Everyone say its crap and discourage her so she doesnt think she's good, thus making sure that the world never has to see such an abomination of a film done by this amature ever again! Theres still time before she gets tricked into thinking she has talent!

DONT LET THIS CRAP GO ANY FURTHER!!! Who's with me!

  • I dont get why everyone is making such a big deal over this, can someone explain to me why its so popular?

  • I honestly have no idea.. I've looked everywhere for it so I could answer the same question.. From what I can tell though, everyone is so impressed because this girl was 12 when she made this. No offense, but it looks just awful. I don't care if this girl was a fetus while she filmed this. I just looks bad.

  • Just watched the documentary on DOC :D

She worked really hard and it seems to have paid off.

  • .... I might to a fanmade sequel to this >.>

    Infact. I actually have a pretty expensive and zombie makeup kit i have had for two months. I dont think it will ever be as big as this. But that doesnt mean I aint willing to spend much on making it. Once I come up with a good movie. Usually I always try to get it finished. (I have been working on a Resident Evil Fanfilm since 2006.) {Oh also I am 12 too :P}

  • =] I love how there faces are painted.. but they forgot to do the necks..

  • @Huntudownn

I love how you spelled "their" wrong while sniggering at someone's work.

  • @robotsofdef No one cares when people point out spelling mistakes.

  • She's really going to go far, it's amazing that she's so young and already has talent like this and even the interest like this at so young, I'm 17 and I don't even know what I like to do. I'm sure if she had profession equipment and professional actors that this would be a lot more professional looking. It's still great. The idea is dead on.

  • This is better than Paranormal Activity true story.

  • @Fredrick2003 ok barney

  • i really want to see this!

    congrats, i mean...12...whoa!

    (:

  • i just came from the documentary

  • I saw the movie today and it was well done for a (then) 12 year old. It had an interesting twist toward the end and the actors and actresses in it (in particular Tiger Darrow) did a very good job. For those of you criticizing it, what were YOU doing at age 12?

  • Yeah. I admire someone following their dreams and not making excuses.

If only I could do the same...

  • hi Emily !!

love ur spirit and initiative in doing something that u truly like. hats off to ur parents for supporting you.

hope you becoame a great filmmaker one day!!

    Amit

  • I want to truly know how many zombie films this girl has seen.

  • So how much money did this film cost to make?

  • a dollar and a 12 year old loll.....jk but serously a film directed by a 12 year old sorry it has 2 suck

  • i saw Zombie Girl, and i really want to get the dvd of Pathogen

  • WTF at 00:57 ???? tomato? knife? girl? well, I guess it is as cheesy as it gets ... maybe Pathogen is what she´s got in her brain ...

  • I've never been a fan of Zombie movies. They all seem to keep to the same story line (some chemical, undead, bite others, more undead, cut of the head, all die but two or three), but this one having been written and directed by a kid, is something I think may be worth watching.

Lagoon, sorry to get personal, I'm the first to wish the movie was online for free, but I guess it's not so I'll have to order it.

That being said, I'm a big fan of Ghost stories, so I can't wait for the next one!!!

  • You must not of seen too many zombie films because not all are based on a chemical turning people into zombies!

  • What's the problem Lagoon, can't afford eight dollars? Or maybe you're just a bitter old failure who hates to support someone who obviously has the talent you wish you did while you where behind that 8mm you feel the need to mention.

"Kudos" to you and your home movies you made in the fifth grade, can't wait for you to get drunk and mention them again in a comment somewhere else on the web, I'm sure you will.

  • "Or maybe you're just a bitter old failure who hates to support someone who obviously has the talent you wish you did"

Obviously?! Where are you getting that from? She seems to be a pretty normal kid, in all respects. No real talent in evidence here, thought she is certainly to be commended for her persistence. Of course, a lot of the credit needs to go to her mother.

  • No doubt her mother has much to do with keeping her mind on her hobby, but that's what parents should do.

Can you even listen to a kid sing a song and screw up the words without correcting them?

Not a fan of people criticizing the young and their dreams with your own bullshit failure stories.

  • Go make a movie, you're old enough to make a better one right?

Can't wait to see it, or do you not have the drive to do so, maybe you don't have an imagination to even write a script, let alone a screen play.

Don't ask for more than is expected from people, understand that what you say may have a huge impact on others.

  • "Can you even listen to a kid sing a song and screw up the words without correcting them? Not a fan of people criticizing the young and their dreams with your own bullshit failure stories."

Wait, what does this have to do with your claim that this girl "obviously has talent"? You haven't said where you see that. You seem to think there's some inverse relationship between talent and age ("this one having been written and directed by a kid, is something I think may be worth watching").

  • If you didn't make a feature length movie when you were 12, you're not allowed to criticize this.

    peace :P

  • I think everyone has the right to criticize anything they want. Just like how you have the right to criticize the criticizers.

  • Emily, you should be very proud of yourself. Most people claim they're going to make movies once they HAVE this or that. You just did it. And DO cash out, regardless of what anyone says. There are TERRIBLE hollywood movies being made all the time and they make money (snakes on a plane, hostel, alone in the dark). Yours, I'm sure, is way better. I think it's awesome you made a movie. You'll only get better too. Do what you love to do and don't let anyone stand in your way, especially yourself.

  • curious to see this movie - i used to make movies all the way back to 5th grade on a 8mm camera. But I don't think i'm gonna buy it - the trailer wreaks of an amateurish job. Not taking anything from Emily, it's great she did what she did and kudos to her, but when you have a cast that consists of classmates and family, just share it with the world for free instead of trying to cash in on it. And a tip: next time put makeup on necks and shoulders and don't stop with just the face.

  • imovie sucks for editing... you need to get something like sony vegas pro and adobe after effects. Wish I could've helped you with your editing because I saw that documentary and your mom can't edit for shit.... like you said, it'd be better to work with someone that can edit and do it the way you want it. Also, get rid of that ancient camera when you get older and buy something like the Canon HF100 which is what I shoot with. It shoots in 1080P and kicks ass for video recording!

  • show me a feature film you did at 12. bitch

  • the documentar was really good, and now im interested in the movie

even if i think it will be dont know how to say

but big respect to that girl!

  • i watched the documentary and met the 3 guys that followed her for 2 years. The documentary is good i liked it a lot and i really want to watch the movie:)

  • I am debating if I should watch this before of after the Documentary...

  • i would watch the movie first because it wouldent really be as great it would kinda ruin then effects and stuff

  • Sounds good to me. I will look for this movie.

  • Hey Emily, I cannot afford to buy your movie online and its not at my redbox.... can you post it on YouTube?

  • It is only ten dollars shipping included. Buy it you cheap fuck!

  • obviously she was born in 97. how much money did you really have when you were 12?

  • I've paid far more for far worse movies.

  • this guy below me...joes--whatever...is full of it. I didn't start making films til i was in high school. It was hard then and still hard. And to even consider of doing a feature length film is awesome! i couldn't do that...i just now working on my first feature...and i'm 19...i saw the documentary trailer that brought me here...and just thought well crap. lol. you inspired a 19 year old student filmmaker! I hope to see more work in the future...and never give up. Continue to push the envelope!

  • Wow, impressive. I started work on our feature way back when I was 13. Now, a year later, the film is complete. Well, nearly anyway. Dubbing never ends :)

Anyhow, its great to see that other people my age are participating in the horror genre. There are so few of us that can actually see the project all the way through production and not be bored by it. I'm also glad to see a female participating in the genre, proving that horror films can be great despite gender, and now, age.

  • the director was barely 12 when this was made. i've seen worse by adults. not that that's anything to shine on, but hey...

  • @mulukchuwen i give her credit fro atleast doing it.

  • good movie. i bought it it was worth it. i cant wait to see zombie girl.

  • u mean this movie is out?
