  • do people let stuff they want get taken away so easy? no... so the dog love its bone...big deal... its a dog... my beagle will get like that at times but he;s never once bit anyone. he knows who the boss it. my dog is sleeping right beside me, i can pull and poke him and get in his face and he does nothing. he's knows respect and its got nothing to do with him protecting his bone.

  • my beagle does the same thing. my brother watches dog whisperer and we are trying not to move our hand away when she gives a little bark because thats positive reinforcement. your beagle is cute!

  • dont do that you stupid human..

  • @Gilch30

    you're an idiot

  • @kikiscout I am an idiot because people on Youtube do not agree with animal abuse? Whatever. You probably love Michael Vick

  • @Gilch30 No you're an idiot because you came to the conclusion that this animal was being "abused". You're also an idiot for assuming that she loves Michael Vick. What he did to dogs was fucking disgusting... Playing with a steak bone with a beagle is hardly on that level, you daft fuck.

  • @Gilch30 -its not animal abuse. Many beagles are protective about their bones because they are hunting dogs. Yes, the lady really could've taken the bone away, but the dog just wanted to eat it. The dog moved away. Its basic instinct.

  • Aw she's so cute. Don't listen to the people who obviously don't have all the facts. My two beagles are trained to the max and still get a little territorial over their bones. It's just how dogs are and we need to learn to accept that there will always be some wild instincts left in their blood.

  • shes cute

  • I wonder why people are giving this woman a break just because her dog is a Beagle. If I had a video of my pit bull mix doing this with these kinds of views, I'd be beaten into the ground with dislikes through the roof. A dog is not supposed to do this, the woman should be able to take the bone out of the dogs mouth without any growling or biting. I hate the way things work sometimes....

  • @mjfromga89

My dog was as gentle as can be. We egged her on because it was funny. Lighten the hell up.

  • @kikiscout I'm sorry, I did not mean to offend you. My comment was not meant to be a personal attack of any kind.

  • @kikiscout You didn't do anything wrong. I do this with my Beagle all the time and he is the happiest dog ever.

  • my beagle does the same thing

  • Dog is saying "Leave my bone alone woman."

  • Hey don't worry about the haters for his weight. My beagle is FAT, mostly cause she's sick, but still beagles have a tendency to be overweight. And we'd do that to her as well. The growl sounds vicious but she's just playing. He's a cutie!

  • what if a toddler tried to get the bone, skin like tissue paper, what would you tell that child when they're older n children are calling them monster b/c of a huge ugly scar they have running across their face. Happened to my aunt, had to suffer years of teasing in elementary, middle, and highschool all because of a dog that got mad at her for trying to take its biscuit away. Also happened to a neighbor-child. sure people go overboard on dogs, but aggression can cause serious problems

  • For the people who are ripping on the beagle for being overweight, I hate to see what you say to overweight people! And for the people who call this abuse, I call it playing with your dog. It's a shame that people worry about petty things like this! Meanwhile, these same people who whine probably don't have their life straight. The most important thing is that this woman clearly loves her dogs and spent time with them. What I would give to "abuse" my beagle Snoopy again that I miss everyday!

  • @octave8573 thanks. we were just playing. scout didn't have a vicious bone in her body.

  • @octave8573 and keeping a beagle a good weight is hard!!! We try with ours but its hard because beagles just love their food!

  • omg...we have a beagle and she does the same thing! Not so much to us, but to our other dog. All he has to do is come near the vicinity of food, even if it isn't hers, and she will spaz out on him! My husband even named his blog after her...The Angry Beagle, lol. Your dog is very cute. :)

  • cute

  • why is it if the video isnt a dog being pampered it gets comments about abuse or being mean? i have a beagle that does the same thing. u can stop it any time if u want. just take the fucking bone. beagles dont bite that hard and once u have it theyre not gonna attack u to get it. but i dont cuz i dont care. i think its funny. some people need to fucking relax

  • You shouldn't tease it like that. My German shepherd was eating a bone and I walked past him and he jumped up and attacked me. He didn't actually bite me but it scared the heck out of me.

  • People are way to serious about everything, lighten up it's not like she abused it or anything

  • The fact is never try & get a dogs bone or they will growl & then bark like my dog did to me lol a couple of year ago & it scared the shit out of me when he did it.

  • dat be one fat bitch!

  • WOOOOUUW ! xD

  • That's eczactly what my dog does exept if we get a foot neer him he'll growl cause we only give a him a real meat bone like once every three months

  • simpaticissimo ^______^

  • that how my dog- Dexter used to be. He was a little over weight to, and old. but he HATED it when i got close to his food. Fatass heehee. She reminds me of him, i like :D

  • @CurlyMacFlurry OMG you named your dog dexter I did too!

  • @cpergola i think everyone names there dog dexter xD it's so weird, i got it from Dexter's Laboratory

  • Teasing a dog is never funny. Few more Beagles like this and they'll be the next hated breed on the news for being "aggressive". Not being able to take food from a dog isn't funny either.

I have a Beagle and also give him bones and he growls when he really likes it and doesn't want anyone to take it. But he sure doesn't snap at me. But I CAN take food away from him.

So, hopefully your dog is never choking or chewing something dangerous because he looks like he's going to bite your head off.

  • I have had beagles all my life and can say with 100% assurance they get plump the older they get. Mine is almost 5 and he has a little extra baggage. I feed him good food, but he will find food anywhere. I also think that if you take food from a dog without letting him know "who's boss" he will growl like that. When you speak playfully, your hound will growl.

Mine had a watermelon rind he picked up and I told him forcefully "NO" and he dropped it.

  • @gravelandgrain100

I bet you are fat too. Fat people always have fat dogs and kids. They do NOT get "plump" as they get older unless they eat more and are less active just like humans. These dogs were bred to hunt and fat hippos can't run fast enough.

My Beagle is 6.. Walks a mile almost every morning and runs around the yard with my other dog throughout the day. His food is measured and he doesn't get snacks for making "sulky faces" when there's food around. Big secret to to staying healthy!

  • @LikeItOrNotX -

interesting all you walk your dog is a mile, mine gets 2 walks a day and when it is nice, he goes 3-4 miles. I bet with your lovely disposition you got the men just lined up at your back door! I love how you come on here(a dog video) and start spewing your self-righteous bile. I bet you go on crime videos of people killed and brag about your CSI skills too.

    LikeItOrNotX=FAIL.

  • thaats one way to get bitten

  • Your dog would actually be better on its own.

  • That dog is morbidly obese, let it outside and run around or take it for walks and don't feed it so much.

  • haha he was protecting his for sure nice dog i got a corgi and a chow chow mixed with a pitbull

  • You could post a video of a dog sleeping, and someone on Youtube would say it's animal abuse. Youtube comments are the bottom of the internet barrel.

  • i love beagles

  • That dog does not need to be so obsessive about his food. He clearly has enough food in his body. Like a cute little ballon.

  • hahahaha the coolest thing about getting a toy from beagles is that they actually will NEVER bite you no matter how mad they are.

  • Cops are on their way! ur ass belongs in jail

  • @Bobhoche

she is just playin around with the dog

that is so not animal abuse

  • yeah my dog does that with his toys. he never wants to give it up but then i tell him to "drop it" and he listens. well most of the time

  • just like my beagle, mine event bites sometimes xD

Already got holes on my fingers twice because of her :D

  • let it be. he's jus playing.

  • If a dog challenges you over a possesion (food/toy/water/etc) then it does not respect your authority as leader.

  • @kaeso100 or that was a damn good bone. lol jk you are right.

  • @kaeso100 I second that! I had a rottweiler and he never did challenge me with any food that he had. If I gave him a bone I would randomly take it away and reward him for giving it up. Then after being rewarded, I would give him the bone back. Very quickly he learned to just give up the bone or toy with no resistance.

  • @TheRottybear Same with my Rott, all of my dogs. Never had a peep of agression from any of them either, using the exact same methods you did. I don't find any form of aggression from a dog amusing at all! Though in all fairness, I never taunted them either, unlike in this vid!

  • You shouldn't have done that :L It could've had your hand there right off.

  • My beagle did that to me when I was recovering the little chunks of the once upon a time piece of Gouda cheese he had stolen fron the table. He was all ok when I took it, but when I said "No! Don´t do that! Suddenly Mr.Hide took over and the freaking dog almost rips my apprehensive index finger pointing at him apart. I never let that happen again, it would juts be a mess; for the dogs you are not the "human", you are the "other weirdly shaped dog" So I suggest you don´t let that happen again.

  • Oh, and sorry about the "juts" and the "fron".

  • i've had my dog do the same, even gnashes his teeth, but he doesn't bite. it all depends on a case by case i guess. set it straight w your pooch :)

  • OH that WOULD NOT be tolerated with my dogs. I had one dog start that and we thought it was funny, a few weeks later I dropped some food on the floor and my dog bit me when I tried to take it back!!! I will never tolerate that again!!

  • im calling the police to take ur ass to jail for animal abuse

  • @Bobhoche explain to me how that is animal abuse, you stupid fucking ignorant shit...stfu

  • @Bobhoche how is this animal abuse HUH!

  • Hey everybody! If your dog do the same thing...It's because they think that they are the leader!

  • HAHA MY BEAGLE SOES THE SAME THING~!

  • kinda fat?

  • I have two beagle puppies and when one tries to get into the others food bowl they do the same thing!

  • thats what i have been doing for years but that degrades their sense of smell dramatically

  • You tellin' me to STFU? You some punk who can't say something w/o being rude? I'm just saying what I'd do if I was the owner and not what everyone is "supposed" to do like what you claim to be saying. I don't like my dog growling at me and maybe you do but I'm not telling you what you are "supposed" to do. It may be fun but it is confusing to a dog. Dogs are happier if there is a well established hierarchy within their "pack" and I thought some other people might be interested to know.

  • I wouldn't be reinforcing that behavior if I was the owner. I have a beagle and I could get stuff out of his mouth even raw hide chews (I don't give him bones). He'd try to hold on to it but doesn't growl and he knows he'll have to let go because I am alpha so he does and is happy to. I praise him and give it back. Point is dogs should see the owners as the pack leaders and this kind of behavior is undesirable. also, being able to get stuff away from them could save their lives (poisons, etc.).

  • i alredy knew that but hey dont just automaticly know your alpha they learn it over time by the way you treat them cause if you spoil them it makes them think there alpha but you are right

  • I think it really depends on the dogs actual attitude. Ever heard of "all bark, and no bite"?

I tease my dog as well by acting like I'm going to take something from him, and he growls at me, but when I actually have my hand on whatever he is chewing on, he stops and lets me have it.

He's not growling out of aggression, he's just letting out a "fake threat" to make you leave him be. It doesn't necessarily mean they don't see you as the head honcho; He stops when he realizes it's not working.

  • Funny :o)

    She wants her bone

  • she`s like touck it bitch ur loosing a finger

  • what a little piggy she is!

    (in a good way)

  • my beagfles the same wayyyy

if she gets something she shouldn't she gets all mean and angry..but we adopted her soo we think because she was a stray she just wanted food or sumthing

  • haha, so funny!

  • Since when is out of the norm for a dog to be protective of something?

  • It's one thing for a dog to be protective against strangers and other animals; it's another to be protective against their human owners.

  • wow i can take food from my dog that is a little out of the norm for beagles.

  • your Dog is so Cute

  • Yeah, that's kind of worrisome. My beagle never growls at myself or my boyfriend. You can basically stick your finger in her mouth when she's eating and she will stop chewing. I'm not scourning you, but it's a trust issue.

  • Thats a buetiful dog and my beagle buddy is the same why with his "big" bone. this is in my favs and yes people like ilovesinging8 are morons.

  • there are some things you need to know:

    1) you can't spell for shit

    2) my dog lived a long and happy life of 13 1/2 years even though she was a bit overweight

    3) she never bit anyone but i would have liked it if she bit people like you

  • @kikiscout

ha ha ha ha. i like the 3rd thing you said. i have noticed that ppl who own beagles tend to make their beagle a little overweight. my dog is a little overweight. ha i guess ppl who hav beagles cnt resist their cute faces and we dont notice when we feed them extra food. or maybe we do know, we just like feeding them. lol. beagles rule!!!!

  • @kikiscout ignore love he probably has extensive breeding skills in teddy bears fucking moron ps cheeky li't hound you have there adorable xxx

  • You sir, ilovesinging, are an ass-hat.

  • it is not at all uncommon for dogs to be protective of food, especially stubborn food hogging beagles. (i say this cause i have one) ;)

what you call anger issues= resource guarding.

    beagles are prone to obesity

    you are an idiot.

  • @ilovesinging8 yea shut the hell up. i hate u 'show' dog ppl.iv had 3 beagles and never have they even thought of biting.they all get a little tubby when they get older.Get off your high horse!

  • lol, they get so pissed.

  • fat ass

  • omg, it's way too fat :O

  • haha my beagle mix is the same way.

But i taught her not to snap at us :P

  • How did you teach your beagle not to snap.

  • well the first time i tried to take a peice of chicken away so she wouldnt choke on the bones she growled at me at gave the evil eyes. like if you take it away ill bite you. so i flicked her on the nose and took the peice of chicken away.

She didnt do it again and now shes fat. lmao

    but i love her.

and im glad i got it out of her before it got like that.

She still growls at my cats tho when they walk near her food bowl. but thats understandable.
