  • Wow....this is the first time I see YouTube comments that are actually not insulting one another...yay world! Lumia! I'm so getting this!

  • Comment removed

  • Ugly phone like all nokia products

  • I would totally buy this phone, except I really hate AT&T. Tbh, I'd much prefer the Lumia 800 because of its size considering how excessively large phones are getting in general. I still love this, though, and the front-facing camera really adds to the experience

  • @rhinnawi95 It's coming to the other three carriers in May.

  • @BlubberOwl Really? Thanks for updating me on that! I might just switch over from my Android, but I'm waiting for HTC to come up with a new, really high-end phone now that they're focusing on quality over quantity again. I've got time, so I'll just wait and see what happens

  • @rhinnawi95 Yes! After I read that HTC is going to pay more attention to quality or quantity, I screamed out "finally!" For about 1 month now, I've sent the same suggestion on their website. An exclusive WP7 phone for T-Mobile. The very popular HTC HD7, but a different color and new/revamped features!

    -Front Facing Camera

    -4G

    -The Same Kickstand

    -Better Battery

    -Slightly Bigger Sensor for Camera

-Better physical buttons (Better or at par with the HD7S)

    -Better screen/resolution (The Same 4.3in)

  • @BlubberOwl Here's what I want from HTC:

-Cameras like the Amaze 4G's, possibly more than 8mp (I've seen 12mp)

-For Android, make HTC Sense features adjustable (ex. on/off setting for carousel feature), bring back HTC Hub, leave Qualcomm's Snapdragon CPU's and go for something better, more efficient, use ICS,etc.

-WP7/8 (for future): add new customization features, if possible, like backgrounds or different background colors, more front-facing cameras, 3.7"-4.3" (max) screens

    -better batteries

  • @rhinnawi95 Yes, the Amaze 4G's camera was amazing! I would buy that phone if the Lumia 900 wasn't coming out! I had the Sensation and loved everything about it, so imagine the Amaze 4G in my hands! Also, I want HTC Sense phones to have the ability to go to stock Android like the Evo 4G. i would like to use the ICS UI for a while. Better batteries are a must! I would also like customization. i had an idea of when you're about to pin something to start, it gives you an option of the tile color.

  • @BlubberOwl Yeah, that's what I meant by making HTC Sense features adjustable (excuse my lack of clarity), but I went further by meaning individual parts of the UI as well. You know what else would be awesome? A revolutionary HTC superphone that can dual-boot ICS, WP7.5/8, or maybe even WebOS or something. Now that it's open-source, I can see some potential with working with it.

I like that idea with the tiles. I'd like backgrounds and tile color transparency, as well. Even live backgrounds!

  • @rhinnawi95 What about fully adjustable color? Such as a color wheel of some sort? And definitely! Dual-boot is an amazing idea! People would LOVE it. They would also make much more money if they stopped exclusivity to carriers. Make it come out on one with penta-band frequencies to be able to use on both CDMA and GSM (ALL GSM) like many phones are doing now a days!

  • @BlubberOwl The next Galaxy Nexus should be an HTC. Screw Samsung and their cheap quality crap. The CDMA and GSM thing would go along well with that.

Fully adjustable colors with the color wheel and the tint/shade scale on the side would be great! Or even giving tiles their own backgrounds. Just custom to the max! For dual-boot, maybe you can choose if you want it to be purely WP or Android when booting, or one of the few home screens is all live tiles or something. That would be nuts

  • @rhinnawi95 The first ever boot should give you the choice of which platform/UI to use. Then you can go into your Settings and choose whether or not to turn on UI Choice when booting. And once you want to change it again, turn UI Choice on and reboot your phone! Simple as that! I wish I had enough money to manufacture phones with HTC and help Samsung. Lol. Samsung uses Plastic to make their devices light, but honestly, i'd prefer a heavier device if it feels better!

  • @BlubberOwl That's what I was thinking, but it would be cool if when you boot, you have both experiences in one somehow. Your idea is probably better, easier, and more efficient to implement overall. As for Samsung, their UI is basically the fusion of iOS and Android (not so much anymore, but still close enough), and their their handsets feel cheap. They're not that strongly built, either. I'm just no fan of Samsung at all. HTC and Nokia are my favs

  • @rhinnawi95 Out of all devices made by Samsung, the Galaxy S2, specifically for T-Mobile, felt cheap, but much better than many others I've held. TouchWiz UI, is definitely a mix of iOS and Android, but it's just not enough to turn me over. They should just go with Stock Android. I would've switched to Nokia a very long time ago if they had removed Symbian from it's hardware. I am absolutely glad the Nokia Lumia 900 is coming out! That's all I'm saving for right now. I have about $500 for it!

  • @BlubberOwl Haha, we can agree to disagree on the whole Samsung thing. As for Nokia, I really don't know much about Symbian, but their WP7 stuff's great. I personally prefer the Lumia 800's size and design over the 900, which is still nice, but I'm getting sick of really large phones. I wouldn't go over the 4.3" mark, unless the screen took up more space on the front side of the phone than most do today. The Galaxy Note's release just shows how ridiculous things are getting when it comes to size

  • @rhinnawi95 I have the HTC Radar and the screen is good in the morning. I say morning because at night, your eyes concentrate more on the screen and if you're tired you can barely read text messages because WP7 only has one font size. I usually just turn my phone off and go to sleep if I can't read anymore. That's the only downside. With the HD7, I can read at anytime od the day. I will certainly not pass 4.3 however because even the Samsung Galaxy S2 (4.6in or something) was way too big!

  • @BlubberOwl The Galaxy S2 for T-Mobile is 4.5/4.52-ish, and the Nexus is 4.65. They're all ridiculous. I'm not sure why, but the HD7 just didn't appeal to me as much, mainly because of design. The Radar 4G looks really nice, though. I'd totally buy it. Hopefully, the lack of customization on WP devices is no longer an issue once WP8 is out. I honestly can't wait. I'm sure we're not the only ones saying this, so they'll probably listen to potential customers to see what to change/add/remove.

  • @rhinnawi95 The HTC Radar is absolutely amazing! Only if it had the 4.3inch screen I'm craving! Windows should have a survey on their website or even on Youtube that uses IP Addresses as votes so that consumers can only vote once. it should be on features for WP8 because their obviously not listening if they can't add a simple feature like color tile changing. But they did add Panorama and Burst Mode to the camera! I know Many Many MANY people who wanted those features! lol

  • @BlubberOwl Maybe they wanted to do something bigger and better for a bigger update than 7.5 Mango, and they're leaving some of that stuff for WP8 Apollo (I love that name, too! Reminds me of the Apollo Space Program, and I'm a huge space nerd!).

I thought of another idea for Microsoft. They're making WP8 be the same experience across all products that run it, right? I just saw a video for a watch accessory, and remembered watch phones! Imagine if they brought the mobile market to watch phones!

  • @rhinnawi95 Lol that would be amazing! I'm actually starting to change my mind about the Lumia 900. It's amazing, but I think the Amaze 4G suits me better for Hardware. I love WP7 but HTC just pulls me away~ Unless they make a WP7 4.3in Device, I have no choice but to go with the Amaze 4G! ):

  • @BlubberOwl I say wait a little! Remember, HTC's making some insane stuff this year, and it won't be an army of them, either. I guarantee you that there's going to be a device coming out in summer, and you're going to want your tech-savvy hands on it, if you have the patience for it. If not, I can understand being conflicted about the Lumia 900 and Amaze 4G. They're definitely two of the best phones out there. Research and play around with demo devices before you make your final decision

  • @rhinnawi95 Now I don't even think I want a phone! lol

  • @BlubberOwl Haha it's too much work finding the perfect one these days, right? Patience should pay off, though. The Radar's pretty good, and it should last you for a while (as far as I know). Better than being stuck with an old Droid X like I have

  • @rhinnawi95 The Droid X is a great phone though! That was the phone I wanted before when going into Verizon's prepaid, but their plans were ridiculous! I've been on prepaid for almost 9 years, with T-Mobile specifically, and absolutely love it. I would've have millions of phones if ATnT's Bands were similar to those of T-Mobile because ATnT does get most of the best phones. Been eyeing the Focus S for a very long time, but I can't get it because I wouldn't get 3G Data on T-Mobile. lol

  • @BlubberOwl My Droid X has so many problems now, especially with the wi-fi radio. I can't wait to replace it. I'd either stick with Verizon or go with Sprint, but I'm no fan of AT&T or T-Mobile, to be honest. Since you get prepaid service, do you have to pay the full retail price for all your phones?

  • @rhinnawi95 Good things come to those who wait! Haha. I had T-Mobile contracted service for about 6 years, then switched to AT-T for 2 years, and then went to Sprint for 4 years. Sprint was by far the best. I have friends who complain Verizon is too much money, but keep the service anyways lol No, I do not pay full retail price. I get about 200 to 300 dollars off using Ebay/Amazon and that's how I am able to switch my phone so many times lol It's so worth it anyways.

  • @BlubberOwl Oh, nice! When I was younger, my family had AT&T, and it was dreadful. I have cousins who use T-Mobile, and I'd honestly feel embarrassed to have T-Mobile service. My cousin has a MyTouch 4G just laying around, but I still refuse to use it, as nice as that phone seems. If you have the money, I recommend Verizon more than anything. If not, when I had my Evo, Sprint was my best friend. They just manage to have you pay extra, and they don't have a lot of flexibility with plans

  • @rhinnawi95 Yes, understood! Verizon is the absolutely best company out there, but not for the money! Here are Pros;Cons in my opinion

Verizon- Best in Service; Too Expensive

Sprint- Best in Unlimited Contract; I'm not sure. No Prepaid Services?

T-Mobile- Best in Unlimited prepaid; AWS Bands 1700/2100

ATnT- Best in Phone Collection; Poor Customer Service

Do you know how much money Sprint would make if they opened up Prepaid? They would be my main company.

  • @BlubberOwl I'd say the best phones are with Verizon and T-Mobile, the worst coverage is T-Mobile and Sprint, slowest is those two, best unlimited is Sprint, fastest 3G speeds are AT&T, from what I hear, most overpriced are Verizon and AT&T. As for Sprint and prepaid, I think they do have that, but I could be wrong. Virgin Mobile is basically Sprint's prepaid service

  • @rhinnawi95 I do agree with you! But no, Sprint doesn't have prepaid services, sadly! I was thinking of getting the E7 from Nokia, and everything is actually great. I just don't want to get Symbian. Have you had experience with that OS?

  • @BlubberOwl No, but I've seen videos of it. It doesn't look too bad. Neither does N9's Meego. Just a little something different, I guess. As for Sprint having prepaid service, getting Virgin Mobile's basically the same thing, because they use Sprint's 3G network

  • @rhinnawi95 Virgin Mobile uses Sprint's 3G? Wow, I never knew! I've used Virgin Mobile before and their coverage is really bad! lol I've been researching and the best thing I could come to is a Samsung Focus S on SimpleMobile or H20 Wireless, which use AT&T's 3G Network! However, I pay 30 Dollars a month on T-Mobile. And a plan that matches what I have for T-Mobile would be almost 70 dollars on Simple/H20. I just finished watching E7 previews and Symbian, is horrible compared to todays software.

  • @BlubberOwl Maybe they don't use all that roaming stuff Sprint uses? Haha I don't know the details. I've had Simple Mobile and Page Plus and all that other weird prepaid stuff, and they run well, but for some reason, I don't like them that much. I personally like bigger companies that are more... "official", if you know what I mean. Haha I'm a bit of a perfectionist, and I like to go for the best of anything if I can.

  • @rhinnawi95 I too like to go for the best I can if I can afford it Lol! Have you tried the Galaxy Nexus? Now I'm consider that one! lol

  • @BlubberOwl I've played around with a demo the day it came out at a Verizon store. It's way too big, and it still lags and studders. Looks nice, but the size, build quality (cheap), and lag (considering it's a 1.2GHz dual-core ICS device) were a real turn-off. It's not my type of phone.

  • @rhinnawi95 Honestly, I don't care if the iPhone is simplistic or boring. It's the most stable phone out there and the only reason I don't have it is because I get EDGE on T-Mobile lol

  • @BlubberOwl I love iPhone's design and screen, camera, etc., but I hate the UI, I hate the hype (call me a hipster. Lol) and how it's so overrated, and Apple itself is getting me pretty mad considering how they just can't stop suing everyone for every dumb little thing instead of competing with dignity. I'm no fan of Apple primarily for that reason, and would probably never buy an iPhone because of that (on top of its gross UI)

  • @rhinnawi95 I completely agree! Also, have you heard of the HTC Radiant? It has everything I wanted and kept asking HTC for in their suggestions box for T-Mobile, but it's headed for AT&T. This is why I get extremely upset with manufactures!!

  • @BlubberOwl Isn't that their April quad-core phone? I hear it's going to be 4.7" or something like that, which is a real turn-off for me. They'll probably have future releases of its Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile equivalents

  • @rhinnawi95 Nope, their Quad Core phone isn't going to be a WP7 phone. It's a different phone.

I'm fed up with this lol I'm just going to switch to ATnT.

***BUT I GET FREE HOTSPOT WITH TMOBILE***

    I hate this.

  • @BlubberOwl Oh... haha, my bad. The fact that WP7 can run smoothly on single-core CPUs while Android still lags with dual-cores really bugs me, and I'm sure it'll lag with quad-cores as well. I still like Android's customization options, but that's still something that needs fixing.

If I were to go with a Lumia 800, what carriers would it work with? I'm sure AT&T and T-Mobile, though I'd probably go prepaid for it (should I use H20?). It's not too different from the 900. I prefer its size

  • @rhinnawi95 It's not different lol just bigger! I would go with Simple Mobile. I've heard so many good reviews for it. Simple Mobile for all Smartphones that can't support T-Mobile, H20 Wireless for iPhone. Definitely. Switching from Verizon? lol

  • @BlubberOwl Just ideas. I really like the Lumia 800, but I'm always afraid something more preferable will be out when I get a new phone. So far, though, I'm liking the Sensation XE, Lumia 800, Rezound, and Nokia 900 as my top favorite phones. I still have time before getting a new phone, so maybe this summer, I'll see what happens. For now, I can manage with my Droid X. Lol, I don't want to go back to Simple Mobile or use T-Mobile at all, though. I'm just not a fan

  • @rhinnawi95 I've decided to wait for the Lumia 900. I will just share a phone with a family member for texts, and use my house phone for calling. If confirmation comes out that the Lumia 900 for ATT will work on T-Mobile's 3G/4G I will buy it, if not, I'll continue to wait until May. If it doesn't come out in May, I'm sure there will be about 6 more new phones out. As for you, Rezound and XE are amazing choices, AND are on Verizon. However, I would say to just wait for the 900 if you like WP7.

  • @BlubberOwl Well, the XE is European, but similar to the Rezound. My only problem is their terrible battery life, but yeah, I'll definitely wait it out. The Lumia 900 should suit you well. It sounds perfect for you, anyway. It's a high-end 4.3" WP7.5 device with a front camera and amazing build quality. And if that's not out by May, we all know HTC will have something great to sweep up the phone market with. That might be my next device as well!

  • @rhinnawi95 Yes, many HTC devices tend to have poor battery life for some reason. But it'll get fixed because they're choosing quality over quantity! lol Anyways, I hope you get what you're waiting for! I researched the Galaxy Nexus and love it, but reviewers say the camera is horrid! The camera takes about 35% of my decision! haha

  • @BlubberOwl Oh, then the Lumia 900 might prove problematic for you considering its camera isn't exactly top-notch, Amaze 4G-like. And I hope you find what you're waiting for as well! Haha this decision would've been so much easier back in the Evo 4G days, when that was the king of phones, and it was met with no challenges for the entire 2010, because a better phone wasn't released until an appropriate time

  • @rhinnawi95 Lol Definitely! I mean for me it would've still had me on a scale because it's on Sprint! The Lumia 900 has an Amazing Camera! 8MP Wide Angle Carl Zeiss F2.2/28 is by far the best! Amazing!

  • @rhinnawi95 That's the aperture the Amaze 4G has but the Lumia has better lens.

  • @BlubberOwl From the reviews I've seen for the Lumia 800, the quality of the picture is not that good, and as far as I know, the Lumia 900 inherited the same camera, but you seem to focus more on cameras than I do, so I'll just take your word for it. Haha

  • @rhinnawi95 Lol Yes! Not only the camera, but the phone itself. Any type of news for the Lumia 900 would be passed through me as fast as the first person lol The only thing I'm not sure about is the rumor or the T-Mobile/Verizon/Sprint version supposedly coming out with a 12MP camera. I doubt it, but that would be great anyway!

  • @BlubberOwl That would draw me over to the Lumia 900 a whole lot more, to be honest. I don't care as much about the camera, as long as it's good, but when it's that insanely epic, I have to go for it, especially because all the other features are great. My only problem is it's 4.3", which isn't a big problem considering I've had a Droid X for quite some time now, but I personally think the Lumia 800 looks nicer, and WP7 fits smaller to mid-sized phones better (in looks)

  • @BlubberOwl If you think thats good, look at the HTC Titan II's 16MP Camera...

  • Comment removed

  • @deemswick I know right! I just wish the design was more attractive. I also wish AT&T would stop getting all the good phones. The Lumia 900 and Titan 2? COME ON!

  • It's good and it's a really huge leap forward for Nokia. But still not good enough in the large and constantly expending market we have now.

  • @jaychou1994 I agree with you comments totally. The new Nokia phones are good but still not there yet. For one they have no flash support. Flash may be on the way out for the mobile platform but HTML 5 is not here yet so we are in a limbo land. Secondly Windows does not support Dual Core or HD displays yet. So the hardware on Windows Phones is none too impressive. Of course Windows runs slinky smooth on a single core but it would be nice to know that if supports Dual core for future

  • i really like the way it looks but again im an iphone guy

  • Damn missed the under 100 club! Thumbs for under 300 club? ;)

  • not bad... nokia making a worthy comeback #100club
