  • I seriously want to kill someone after listening to this shit

  • @gallespaul dude, if fox news reads this, they'll go nuts D:

  • @guguigugu lol i hope they do, so that i have something else to laugh at

  • @guguigugu THEN I'LL CONTINUE :D

  • This was the first DEP song I listened to. One of my teachers gave me it, and when I first listened to it I didn't understand it. I came back to it after maybe 4-6 months, after I'd been exposed to a lot of new music, and I found this song to be amazing. DEP are now one of my favourite bands!

  • I used to be a normal adventurer like you but then I DESTROYYYYYERRRRRRR

  • >Come on Dillinger video

    >That faggot who says they're not talented

    >lulz

  • @GuitaristAidan >Doing this outside of 4chan

  • @MrVersipellis

    >giving a shit

  • @GuitaristAidan kill yourself

  • @TheMutantMindframe Nahh thanks, tis my 18th birthday :) sorry for pissing you guys off lol

  • @GuitaristAidan GRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • @GuitaristAidan i never loved you

  • @TheMutantMindframe That's what my parents always say

  • @SlaytanicSteven Lookup 43% Burnt on the Calculating Infinity album. That will change your mind about DEP.

  • This song was so fucking epic live when I saw them on Monday.

  • @Onamorata agreed i saw them on sunday in philly and was front and center and he stood right in front of me and grabbed my head and put the mic in my face as we screamed destroyerrrrrr!!! fuckin killer man... ftw

  • @maalox92182 Dude, thats boss. Hey! Did they break anything that show? In Boston, they lost two mics (in the crowd), broke two mic stands, threw a mic stand through on the of the amps, were throwing the amps around, and Greg took Billy's china cymbal and smashed it off the ground a couple times at the end of 43% Burnt. Fucking great.

  • @Onamorata yea when greg and ben jumped into the crowd together when greg emerged he pulled the bouncer to the side and said something then grabbed a new mic lol... greg later walked unknowingly underneath ben as he was jumpin off his speakers and landed on him which was kinda funny and yea they started throwin stuff at the end and destroyed the drum kit but i didnt see any amp damaged...they always kill it...and the stage....

  • At first I didn't like this song, but then DESTROYER!!!!!!!!!

  • well the first 17 seconds of the song were really good..

  • This sounds like someone shit a dish washer into a nigger's mouth who then proceeded to bitch at another nigger who punched a retarded child's kitten who then started to brush their teeth with a fucking brick while throwing glass dildos at pedestrians in time square, at the same time while kicking nails into their toenails while he also at a pile of rhino shit That...is what this sounds like.

  • @KyleTheLamma so you're saying it sounds pretty good? :] glad to see another fan

  • Someone told me to check out this band for a good laugh.....I laughed alright LOL!!!!

  • @SlaytanicSteven you probably think that they are just noise and there is no talent here, right?

  • @metalhead813 Nope. But I do know that all these lame ass nu metal crap bands are all doing the same guitar sweeps, and scales trying to be all technical and whatnot. It sounds fucking lame. Who cares if you can play technical music? Can they write a GOOD song is the real question.

  • @SlaytanicSteven ah. nu metal. i see. so there isnt any talent in the songwriting here. good lord

  • @SlaytanicSteven Fun Fact: "Good" is totally subjective

  • @SlaytanicSteven

Go listen to Mouth of Ghosts if you want something more melodic. Hell, the fact you bring up the term 'Nu-Metal' shows a pretty high level of ignorance and not knowing of what you speak. DEP are not in any way shape or form nu-metal. Grindcore would have been a lot closer to the mark but still off. Try jazz-infused metal, as the method or writing and wilful ignorance of staying in key/time sig are the hallmarks of jazz trained musicians. Which they are.

  • @SlaytanicSteven someone told me to check out your sad life for a laugh, i laughed alright! LOL go get a job and stop disappointing your parents

  • @BetweenAnimalsAndPac Ohhh you really got me there. The whole sad life and parents comment....very original. But then again you're 16 so that says a lot. Stop being a pussy by listening to such gay music. ;)

  • Dat chord progesstion at 1:26

  • what the hell is the album art? anyway this album is awesome!

  • @daiselol This is Mathart!

  • *The Hero starts to walk away, wielding the only smile smug enough to befit a victorious hero. In the background the mangled villain is rising back up. He taunts our hero for walking away - as he continues to do so. Throwing his arms back, and arching his neck out the villain cries out*

    2:06

  • A yo instrumental section imma let you finish but -DEEEEESTROOOOYERRRRRRR!

  • Bor das is sooooo schlecht ne !!! Hört eich mal vernüftige musik an !!! Und blablabla alles voll durgerechenet die rhytmen und riffs oder was...na und ??? Hört sich trotzdem kacke an !!!

  • I'm new to DEP, but I don't know where to start. Can anybody direct me towards an album that would be great for me to start with please?

  • @Niamorg1007 I think this one's a pretty good one to start with (Miss Machine). It's probably the equivalent of 'easing' your way in... to a sea of acid.

  • @jacksterposition Thanks man, I'll check it out then!

  • @Niamorg1007 Miss Machine. Listening start to finish is an adventure. Phenomenal album

  • @Niamorg1007 between the buried and me

  • one of my favorite DEP songs ever. it's got it all in good proportions

  • Saw them Live with a crowd who came only to see Deaf Tones. They did not know what to do to this. First they tried to head bang to the rhythm and then stopped, tried jumping, then just said fuck it and stood there staring.

  • This song still blows my mind to smithereens.

  • 2:07 just made my day.

  • They don't go melodic...

    They go EPIC.

  • man drummers amazing and guitarists are pretty deacent just need to get rid of the core poop and theyed be one of my favorite

  • @crotchrocket92 i'm curious as to this "core poop" that you speak of. would you elaborate?

  • @jolleyrulz like metalcore stuff and become like just progressive instead of "mathcore" which is just wannabe technical deathmetal and progressive metal

  • @crotchrocket92 but what elements, specifically do they need to get rid of? your response only furthered my bewilderment

  • Sometimes it feels like this is over complicated just to be complicated.... it's okay

  • @ZurkonTheDestroyer I freakin love songs like that, that's creativity at it's finest.

  • This song always passed me by untill I saw it live.

  • @soulofshiver seriously?! ahhhh man, i always loved it! and then greg invited me to sing it onstage with him, i've got a video on here of it. best night of my life.

  • any one else feel "In The House, In A Heartbeat" whilst listening to this?

  • @JARTX YES! I hear it more in Farewell Mona Lisa though.

  • @JARTX Yea I did! That is all x

  • Throw more shit faggots!

  • Not gonna lie this song's lyrics were going through my head when i heard osama was dead

  • @Gillty101 this has lyrics?

  • @fboliv L2click info.

  • Miss Machine was always a good record, dunno how people could not like it :P

  • If you don't like Miss Machine at first, come back to it in a year or so, when you're really fucking angry (at your boss, your significant other, life in general). Blast it. (Careful, don't break your eardrums).

This is the perfect anger music. And after you've experienced it angry, it feels good almost any other time, too.

  • @Xiatter that is soo true hahah i didnt like D.E.P all that much 2 years ago and now I fucking love them xD

  • Respond to this video... especially when I'm feeling aggressive hehe

  • @Xiatter in a book , the author quotes this song, it calls "angry vagina music". i still dont know if it was an insult or not, but i laughed

  • SO. GOOD.

  • this is probably my favorite dillinger song

    so epic

  • WHY MUST THIS SONG BE SO GOOD....

  • gregs vocals from 40 sec to 50 sec are super sick. i wish he varied/changed up his screams a little more like that. but super sick none the less.

  • When I saw them live they took this song to a whole new level.

  • This fucking song dude....Blows my goddamn mind.

  • the most awesomest of awesome

  • holy fuck i fucking love this song

  • Get the audio from this vid at tubepull doht cohm.

  • DESTROYER!!!!!!

  • First time I've ever listened to metal music extensively, glad i started with progressive/expiremental/mathcore(different names for the same thing) metal, but it's hard to keep up with the words, not quite sure what he's saying half the time :|

  • @HYSM90s welcome to the metal family man! if you like experimental stuff, try Meshuggah and Gojira!

  • @HYSM90s progressive metal is amazing u shud try out Opeth, cynic, and the newest mastodon album crack the skye. really good stuff

  • @HYSM90s If you're paying more attention to the vocals than the instruments and rhythm, you're doing it wrong.

  • This brings back some memories of Download :D

  • @AshleyKirkGen they fucking killed it at download one of the best bands there

  • fucking geniouses!!!!!! wow i didnt know what to do with myself when they played it live in TEL AVIV.. i dont know if its true, but the myth says that they write their beloved music with equations

  • @AmitKanfi sorta. its got to do with the time signatures.

  • fake and gay.

  • @brutalhappyface Sup troll.

  • the breakdown at 3:45 is the most violent thing i've ever heard in my life.. amazing

  • @Doika86 wrong

  • @brutalhappyface shut up faggot. Whats the most violent thing you've heard then

  • Could I play that on a Jazzmaster? Hahaha

  • Dillinger Escape Plan can fucking STAY!

  • lol@whoever brought up BTBAM and said they have smoother transitions than DEP

  • even mozart would appreciate this shit, because it's fuckin genius!

  • Chris Pennie....nuff said

  • DESTROYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is beautiful and chaotic at the same time.

  • @MrPants432 Everything is a bunch of noise.

  • @MrPants432 ....i hate to break it to you but all music is noise....thats what allows you to hear it..............

  • @MrPants432 you're just a bunch of noise

  • @MrPants432 I was saying the same thing first time I heard Calculating Infinity. Its an acquired taste. Its like jazz. Once you let your self go to this different time signature, you cant get enough of it.

  • @MrPants432 A bunch of beautifully amazing orgasm inducing noise. Agreed.

  • Hmmm. this version Greg sounds deeper.

  • at first I disliked this song, but then I DESTROYERRRRRRR

  • @lostenmusic there will be another just like you.

  • That chill, that spine tingling chill that comes over you after hearing this song so many times never goes away it just holds back waiting for the rush to go up your spine on Greg's screeching yell of "Destroyer!!!"

  • Everytime I hear this, it shatters the life outta me of sheer amazement. Keeps getting better by multiple listening...

  • So what the flying fuck is up with Between The Buried and Me not winning "The Best Underground band"? are the majority metal heads out there today that fucking retarded to not realize the musicianship of BTBAM when compared to delinger's escape? do the majority of u really think sunshine the werewolf is better than White Walls?!?! .... really?!?! cmon wtf

  • @TheJeffum first off i have to agree and disagree, first kerrang is terrible for nomination and winners period, i mean half the nominations that were on this year were crap, 2nd if anything dillinger would win because underground wise they are better than BTBAM, they both are FUCKING AMAZING BANDS that deserver way more than a 'UNDERGROUND BAND' award but what can u do. dep and btbam are 2 of my all time fav bands and i wanted them both to win. but musically they are the best bands on the list

  • @shawn11291 Ok, but what do u mean by "Underground wise they are better than BTBAM?" do u mean they are better at keeping themselves out of mainstream reach? because honestly i hate ppl who judge music by how popular it is rather than judge it by sound thus the whole category is bs imo. Maybe thats not wat u meant though. But i would really like to know how DEP is better than BTBAM from someone who likes DEP more. cuz honestly i think BTBAM arrangements are more tech and hav smoother transitions

  • @TheJeffum well what i mean by underground is that there underground fanbase is bigger then btbam, im saying that cuz thats what the nomination means by that, but i would have to say in a sense btbam is better and in another sense dep is better, like dep has never done a colors and btbam has never did a calculating infinity, do u get it? they play two diferent styles, like btbam is all over the place so it gives them more 2 play with, dep is mathcore/jazz, there in leagues of there own

  • Yeah 1:27 is EPIC... Throw some TRUE BLOOD with that shit!!

  • uummmmmm. may i ask their religion? anyone? ha

  • @LFPBagzies ha religion. good one

  • @LFPBagzies thier one guitarist Ben Wienman is Jewish. Don't think he practices though lol but hes got some barmitzfa(however the hell you spell it) pictures up on his fb page

  • good to hear some talent

  • Breakdown = most epic breakdown in the history of breakdowns.

  • @Rolynpwns

    omg so true :D

  • Everytime I listen to this the more I admire and love it. This is such a classic. Evokes all kind of thoughts and lines...

  • How i feel !

  • i heared from 1:26 to 3:35 about ten times in the last 30 minutes... this part is epic!

  • One of my favourite songs ever I think. So epic in places, great lyrics songs title and awesome music and vocals = Win ^_^

  • at 3:00, 3:13 and 3.27 you almost get a choirlike feel. This is so cunning in playing with the expectations of the listener while maintaining its structure. I think it is the bomb!!!

  • your entry level fag

  • There is nothing entry level about this band.

  • and underoath isnt? lol.

  • Reread my comment....

  • Comprehend, yet?

  • read it too fast :) sorry.

  • sarcasm is getting pretty old these days.

  • Man, these guys know how to go melodic without that emo crap, no offence emo homies

  • @CaptainAnalBeard I'm sorry I was too distracted by your epic name.

  • @CaptainAnalBeard Too bad this song is about lost love...like most emo songs. See how this love kills? Though, in a lot of ways this song conveys a lot more emotion than 95% of your standard emo fair out there. Its also bad ass and my favorite Dillinger song to date. The horns are a particularly nice touch which I must say I miss when seeing them live.

  • @Shaolin2419 because the word is in there soesant mean thats what the song is about. and although it sounds like horns its synth to begin with

  • @SUBLIMEDUDESTP Well that makes me sad because when I saw them live there were no horns. You think someone could hit a button and have the horns play.

  • @CaptainAnalBeard you mispelled homos

  • @CaptainAnalBeard emo is a byproduct

  • Comment removed

  • This song goes on repeat for at least 30 min every day without fail, love it

  • This song 's a asskicker! I particularly like its structure, its epic feel and its frenetic drive in the riffs. Great musicians! Too bad Chris's gone. It will never be the same.

  • Haha, penney5... do you even know what math metal is? Lets try to not announce our lack of music knowledge for all of the interwebs to see.

  • cool story, bro.

  • Wow, DEP is soo talented!

  • its so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 3:45

  • chris is gone waaaaaaaaahhhhh :(

  • I think I like them., Haha. I am not used to their voices but they are good.I love the lyrics. Good Job guys!!

  • Hey thats cool, too many people are scared of new things and things they're not used to.

  • I'm not the only one watching the fallout

fly back up walking where time stands still

    see how this love kills

  • Too bad the drummer went to Coheed and Cambria. The new drummer is ok, but not as good.

  • The shift at 1:26 is what made me fall in love with this song.

Such a beautiful, eerie melody contrasted with previous chaos, and then it's finished off with the blasting "DESTROYER."

  • You're absolutely right. Also what made me love that.

  • yeah, i also adore the transformation of the song at 1:26. brilliant

  • Reminds me a lot, of The Mars Volta at that point. [1:26]

  • @k9guy1 soooooooooooooo troo

  • @k9guy1 no

  • I can still hear Mike Patten.

    ...

He made them better than they were. And that's not an easy feat, they were pretty amazing.

    YJ

  • Fuckin' insane.

  • No, you are not.

  • I used to hate their music too until I listened to it a few times and heard the pattern. The music is very very complex, using alternating tempos and signatures. Arranging these songs is an amazing feat to be sure. Thats why they call it mathcore, sometimes their are parts in a song at 128/24 signatures or some other obscure rhythm.

  • shit sorry to piss on your fire man but 128/24 can't exist, the second number represents the note length whether its a crotchet or quaver blah blah so is either 4,8,16 or 32 which is a hemi demi semiquaver which is an awesome name! really sorry to be so picky...god i'm a dick
