@abi112792 I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm an Episcopalian; I've read the Bible pretty closely and the only mention I can find in the Bible specifically of Hell is in Revelation---the fiery lake. There are references to Tophet in the Old Testament, which was couple of miles outside Jerusalem and it seems to have been what the English call a "coombe"---a little closed in valley. It was *cough* a place of Goddess worship. Tell them that&watch their heads explode. Cite chapters.

I am a witch myself, but both of my parents are Catholic. I am lucky my parents keep telling me to find my own path. You can't force someone to believe in something in which they simply don't believe. Besides, being a child of Catholic parents made me see that witchcraft and christianity are also similar in a lot of ways. For example, they work with the 4 elements as well, although different.
I wish people stopped looking at the diffences and start looking at what unites us all.

@gravediger1 The Gods and Goddesses for a bunch of people can get can be different. Some view them just as God/Goddess. Others can view as Apollo/Diana. Grab 100 Wiccans and ask them how they do something such as set up their altar, and you will more than likely get 100 different answers if not more since some people have multiple altar setups depending on the occasion.
I think it is kinda funny how Christians say that all what Pagans do is evil, yet B/C of Pagan based things like Alchemy and Astronomy, we have all what we have now like Medicine, crops, and so on so forth. Christians are living their everyday lives using things that relate to the teachings of paganism.

Well it I agree with you, Babylonian cult religion is absurdly brutal and repulsive. Roman religion however was not exactly like that. Incest, child killing even homosexuality in the early republic, ware considered taboo. During the republican times Rome was quite high on the morality. Original roman gods ware gods of practicality. They ware happy if you do your job make a prayer and honer your elders. In a sense they ware like Christianity.

From an almost objective viewpoint; I find that by reading the comments to this and similar videos, I see a fine divide between Wiccans who appear friendly, well informed, inoffensive and decent; and the 'Christians' (poor examples of their kind admitedly), who seem like vacant headed, scripture toting malcontents who in some cases manage to spell two-letter words incorrectly.
I was raised under the old belief. I am now Wiccan as it came extremely close to what I was raised. But I was also raised with the learnings of the Methodist religion. I was baptized a christian, but over the years I have found many things about the religion I don't like. For one, this whole only one life to live, I am a strong believer in reincarnations so this doesn't sit with me. Another thing is, I am an animal lover and have lost many beloved pets over time, all were family members to me, but I have been told time and time again by priests that animals don't have spirits, so when they die, they just disappear or something, I don't believe this at all.

I definitely agree. I tried Christianity, and personally, it didn't work for me. I found Wicca and it was amazing, before I seemed to have something missing in my life, now I have found the way for me.

Do a little research into both Christianity and Wicca (both from unbiased sources) For instance, I suggest you read the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" and then find a good Wiccan book on their laws. Decide for yourself, don't feel pressured from family. Your faith is too important for that.

@abi112792 I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm an Episcopalian; I've read the Bible pretty closely and the only mention I can find in the Bible specifically of Hell is in Revelation---the fiery lake. There are references to Tophet in the Old Testament, which was couple of miles outside Jerusalem and it seems to have been what the English call a "coombe"---a little closed in valley. It was *cough* a place of Goddess worship. Tell them that&watch their heads explode. Cite chapters.

I am a witch myself, but both of my parents are Catholic. I am lucky my parents keep telling me to find my own path. You can't force someone to believe in something in which they simply don't believe. Besides, being a child of Catholic parents made me see that witchcraft and christianity are also similar in a lot of ways. For example, they work with the 4 elements as well, although different.
I wish people stopped looking at the diffences and start looking at what unites us all.

@gravediger1 The Gods and Goddesses for a bunch of people can get can be different. Some view them just as God/Goddess. Others can view as Apollo/Diana. Grab 100 Wiccans and ask them how they do something such as set up their altar, and you will more than likely get 100 different answers if not more since some people have multiple altar setups depending on the occasion.

From an almost objective viewpoint; I find that by reading the comments to this and similar videos, I see a fine divide between Wiccans who appear friendly, well informed, inoffensive and decent; and the 'Christians' (poor examples of their kind admitedly), who seem like vacant headed, scripture toting malcontents who in some cases manage to spell two-letter words incorrectly.

I was raised under the old belief. I am now Wiccan as it came extremely close to what I was raised. But I was also raised with the learnings of the Methodist religion. I was baptized a christian, but over the years I have found many things about the religion I don't like. For one, this whole only one life to live, I am a strong believer in reincarnations so this doesn't sit with me. Another thing is, I am an animal lover and have lost many beloved pets over time, all were family members to me, but I have been told time and time again by priests that animals don't have spirits, so when they die, they just disappear or something, I don't believe this at all.

question, did you pray for you visitation or did it just come along one day? i had a similar visitation, from a god AND goddess (and i prayed hard for someone to call to me)-so i guess we all have different experiences don't we? i am not against christianity at all, it just hasn't been my greatest experience. i don't understand why you and so many other christians on this site go on pagan videos simply to criticize. of course you have a right to you beliefs-but please respect ours.

riff7uk not all the witchcraft is bad, we try to make balanss in the world. I think witchcraft is for honouring the mother earth and the goddess and the elements. i admit there are some people who think they are the best and use only magic for themselves but I think it's wrong. ( i know this because I am a wiccan) but i respect the God of the christ because my whole familie is christian.

I definitely agree. I tried Christianity, and personally, it didn't work for me. I found Wicca and it was amazing, before I seemed to have something missing in my life, now I have found the way for me.
I hope it was the same way for you with Christianity riff7uk.

Good for you riff7uk! If it works for you, then so be it. But please don't try to shove your beliefs down our throats. A lot of us (myself included) tried Christianity, and found it just didn't work for us. It's great that you found a spiritual path that brings you joy and meaning, but that doesn't mean that it's right for everyone. There are many paths to truth.

I figure that you get all your stuff from the bible. Well, the thing is there are a lot of sacred books that say alot of things. You believe as you do and others believe as they do. How can you know for sure who is right? Especially when your religion is faith based.

for your information i initially got my faith from a visitation of the Holy Spirit who declared to me that Jesus is the Christ.
since then I honored the visitation by studying the Bible which I afterwards knew was the truth.
maybe one day you will have a personal visitation
but not unless you pray out to the Lord that you want Him as your Lord and Saviour.
and that takes humility, the ONLY humility that gets a response.

Christianity is based on Pagan beliefs.
Easter, Christmas, harvest ALL are pagan beliefs and holidays or Sabats... Sabat (similar Jewish word meaning holy day) btw...

Actually, thats just what some,myself included, believe. and there's a God, Pan, AND a Goddess, Mother, in Wicca. So please don't bash something when there's not really any use for it. We've heard it before and We'll hear it again but trust me it gets annoying when every where you turn there's someone else who thinks that we are worshiping the devil,which we aren't, and that we are pathetic and evil. Why not try atheism? Why limit yourself to the religions of your ancestors? Why not islam? Or buddhism? Or ... god knows;-). No, seriously, unless you feel the presence of some entity (which isn't rational; feelings can fool you), what you're doing (and everybody who doesn't just follow the indoctrination of their parents) is picking the religion with best perks. I find this song to be very peaceful but i'm having a conflict with my faith with god and getting back to my wiccan roots.See my grandmother and my mother are wiccans but my dad he's all about God and I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Do a little research into both Christianity and Wicca (both from unbiased sources) For instance, I suggest you read the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" and then find a good Wiccan book on their laws. Decide for yourself, don't feel pressured from family. Your faith is too important for that.

Okay let's make this painfully simple for me1is1hyper, all goddesses from all religions are the Goddess, as are all gods the Horned One. As pagans we worship the originals, while the other religions decided to remake them for themselves. So yes, we all come from the Goddess in one way or another. In no way is this saying "our ways is the only way", especially since we believe there are many paths to the Summerland.
