  • Paul Daigle and Jesse Lege and friends play a dance at the 2007 Augusta Heritage Center's Cajun/Creole week in Elkins, WV

  • lol is this redneck music? lol hill-billies? its good music :)

  • It's 19th Century French dance music by Cajuns influenced by R&B, etc. The weird, head-tone vocal was to cut over the loud accordion before microphones. Jesse is one of the last to use it. Takes getting used to, but you sound like someone with a tolerant ear. Try Steve Riley for a more yuppie sound, or Lost Bayou Ramblers or Pine Leaf Boys for what the college kids like. Remember, it's DANCE music. Enjoy!

  • ok thanks for the info! i really like this music, the first time i heard music like this was in the movie southern comfort. its great i love it :)

  • A very young Mark Savoy is in that movie. Look up the Savoy Music Center. Festivals Acadiens et Creoles is in October, there's a site. Besides the free festival with 2 stages with a band an hour going for 2 days, all the clubs and restaurants in Lafayette will have music at night. If you like this music, you should come down. Good music and good people for very little money.

  • It's not redneck music...their not even singing in English, this song is in Cajun French from Lousiana...

  • See everybody at Augusta in 2 weeks!

  • AAIEE!!!!!!!!! Laissez les bon temps rouler, cheres!!! GREAT music! :D

  • Bonne musique messieurs! Vive la Nouvelle Orlean.

    Is it French-Cajun?

    If so, that is awesome!

  • Yes it's in Cajun French...

  • brilliant!!!

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • I want to type an accordionist and a singer.

  • Jesse is great as a accordionplayer, but also as a ginger/guitarist. Great music and thanks for that.
