  • hi they dont feel pain but the brain shuts down but they are still alive so it looks like pain but they dont feel pain and they can see so they are scared so thats why thry kick and try to escape but i have went to the scientists and and vets.iam sorry if this offends you but they dont feel pain

  • @ TheBoris1971....Scientific Research Proves Islamic Slaughter is Humane

Professor Wilhelm Schulze of the Hannover University's School of Veterinary Medicine in Germany, and his colleague Dr. Hazim, compared the response of the brain and heart during and immediately after ritual slaughter and slaughter with captive bolt stunning, a method widely used in many slaughterhouses.

  • Doesn't the use of the restraining box, where the head is forcefully pushed back cause a stress response in the animal already...? It seems that if the spinal cord was the first to go, there would be less controversy surrounding the humaneness of the slaughter method. After all, if you cut the spinal cord first, you prevent any sensory info. from traveling to the brain thereby ensuring no pain on the part of the animal.

  • @mikek241 Please look again. The head is restrained, but until the cut is made the animal feels no pain at all. If in stead of making the cut at that time you would open the box the cow would just walk out again. The use of a sharp knif and cutting all the way to the vertibrae in the back of the neck ensures the animal goes into shock and loses all senses before the pain is actually registered.

  • @mikek241 all the stress is in the blood... that why the goal of that halal slaughter is to bring out all the blood as fast as possible.

  • @istiiizzz In case the animal gets stressed just before or during slaughter one of the responses is the muscles tension up and retain blood. For that reason it is important both for ritual and traditional slaughter that the animal is treated calmly before slaughter and that slaughter is done well. Recently research pointed out the heart of an animal continues beating for the same time after the cut for bleeding has been made, regardless of ritual or traditional slaughter.

  • erm, i can see the animal in the background still kicking. still alive and suffering?? maybe muslims should undergo major surgery without anaesthetic? it would put the money where the mouth is.

  • @farookbulsasra Check out Temple Grandins website to read about the signs of a completely stunned / senseless carcass. They are involuntary contractions of the muscles but the brain and nerves are already "switched off". A spontanious rockslide doesn't mean the mountain is alive (though it often feels like it!).

  • kinda makes me want a steak ;)

  • It,s good that they keep the head flexed for a short while after the cut, the bleed keeps on going and because the wound edges don,t touch it,s not supposed to be that painful to the animal, the animal hardly moved after!

  • All animals are equal ..but some are more equal than others

  • that was actualy pretty kewl

  • An extremely sharp knife and a quick slice to the throat is better then a bolt to the brain.

  • i want some chicken instead of this :P

  • thats discusting because of this video im going cow vegetarian

  • @ekm03 Because the other animals aren't that cute? Or you just never realised all meat has to be slaughtered?

This is one of the reasons I post these vids and answer to comments sometimes. One of the major reasons people are so shocked is ignorance, they never thought about where their food comes from and now they see and realise all of the sudden "it's all bad". Well, I hope you can at least enjoy your spare ribs tonight!

  • As a working slaughterman, i would not work in a slaughterhouse that employes these methods. Humans eat meat, simple fact and as a person that is involved in bringing that meat to your table, i think that it is my responsability to ensure that the animal is dispatched as quickly and as painlessly as possible. I do not believe that this method is aceptable in the modern world. Norway, Iceland & Switzerland have banned it, so should we.

  • The right verb is Halal, not Hallal حلال and this system is very old, today is not acceptable by sheikh.

  • @umbertomaciel As I said before in this thread, I know of at least 10 different methods of Hallal slaughter and for each one I can point you to some high placed Muslims who can and will defend "their" style of Hallal. In our experience recently it is more based on regional influence then scripture. As with all religions the interpretation apperantly has been different in different regions.

  • why is this cruel just because it is very bloody doesnt mean it is cruel

  • i stopped at 1:40 do i want to see the rest?? nahh, im good :( poor cows... i dont even like me soo yeaa

  • @varmint527 This is because the skinning happens long after the killing. By the time the cow arrives at the skinning station it has already bled for more then 5 minutes and spent a few more minutes getting prepared for skinning. By this time the cow has turned into a carcas ready for processing. Cremation doesn't hurt either you know?!

  • This didn't seem to be too bad a way to go. So long as the animal is unaware of the the slaughter, I don''t oppose such method. Other videos show animals still alive and being worked on. That must stop immediately and the above method implied in other slaughterhouses around the world! Still, very sad to watch. I would rather be unemployed than slit the throat of any animal. I am a meat eater but considering veg because cruel slaughterings!!! (Not referring to above vid)

  • Now there's a surprise - only accepting comments pending approval. So you are really scared of a point of view opposing halal slaughter and the death cult known as Islam?

  • @CrankCase08 I chose to moderate all comments to avoid flame wars. If you read the comments you will have seen I try to show arguments for both sides. However I don't accept these video's to become subject of a flame war in the comments. You wouldn't believe the sorts of crap that is being spewed from all sides (Kosher is also ritual you know?) regarding these vids. We sell the equipment and support the discussion, but not the flame wars and trolls!

  • @Rowel81 -Because Muslims (and orthodox Jews) choose to adhere to this barbaric and backward practice you seek to exploit the gap in the market; so because you only sell the equipment, that makes it perfectly okay? That same argument could be used by the manufacturers of land mines and torture equipment.

Like I said before, this disgusting practice needs to be banned by the civilised world, just like torture equipment and land mines.

  • @CrankCase08 Finally somebody with good and real arguments. For this I have 2 answers. Firstly, every human being and culture have their own ideas regarding morality. In my opinion I'm not crossing a line as I would do when manufacturing stuff like landmindes. This is because of answer 2. If landmines wouldn't be sold the world would be(come) a safer place; but if our humane Hallal solutions wouldn't be sold these poor animals would be caught and butchered in the street.

  • @CrankCase08 And just to keep the comparison of morality going. I wonder how many of the posters here pass by one or more homeless people every day and ignore them, maybe even discusted by them, but do immediately send money to the next charity with a big TV-fundraiser because it makes them feel "all warm and fuzzy inside" while conveniently forgetting the horrible things happening on their own street corner.

  • @CrankCase08 Nope, as you can see now, I just don't have the time to mod it all that much. This also because I do want to take the time to weed out the idiots (From both "camps") and take the time to give serious answers to those who ask it.

Anyway, I'm sure we'd enjoy a serious and argumented discussion about this sometime with more room then the 300 something characters allowed here... :)

  • @Rowel81 The fact is that halal slaughter is being conducted in the West and this eqipment will be used. Butchering in the street would not be permitted in the streets as it would be illegal. Unfortunately, our spineless politicians permit exceptions to the animal welfare regulations that apply to the rest of us. It's one thing for halal to exist in Muslim states, but not in the West, and I for one will continue to campaign with others for halal slaughter and products to be banned in Europe.

  • @CrankCase08 And by showing those politicians there are other more humane ways to perform the slaughtering they will start pushing for the according regulations (this is already happening more and more all over Europe). By making the change from rotating boxes in Europe for stationary boxes we can improve the quality in 3rd world countries with 2nd hand boxes while the quality in Europa also improves. One step at a time this takes us closer to a better world. Politics has and always will be slow

  • Never mind the discussions. The best thing to do is just completely ban this disgusting practice. People need to ask why their governments are allowing Muslims to practice the barbaric halal slaughter while it would be illegal for non-muslims to do so.

  • If only the narrating was as effective as the slaughtering.

  • Best Slaughter Video so far I think.

  • I noticed that before the cow left the kill box, it was dead and drained of blood... far better than having it run around crazy for the last minute. Safer for the workers also.

  • Why cant they be stunned? Cutting the throat as a primary means of slaughter is a lot less reliable. It would be interesting to know the percentage of cuts that go perfectly over the ones that do not. Cuts that dont go well only cause more stress and pain to the animal. Anyhow, this post is probably religously ignorant but there must be some way more humane killing practices can be observed.

  • @FISHERMANPADDY Thanks to the restraining boxes used and the skill of the workers similar percentages of good cuts can be achieved as with modern slaughtering methods with stunning. If the Hallal cut is made properly in a standing box like this the stress hormones are usually even less compared to modern slaughter. However, when a mistake is made the stress levels go up much higher compared to modern slaughter.

  • @Rowel81 Dont forget the world has moved on 1500 yrs since the Quran and Mohammed said halal is the best way. Stunning the animal instantly makes it unconcious so then cutting its throat is much more easy as if an error is made with the cut the animal doesnt feel any pain, and also many muslim scohlers say a type of stunning called "stun to stun" is allowed as it doesnt cause any damage or kill the animal. look it up.

  • @speedfreak18ish Your absolutely right. But it is as I always tell my clients who ask for a Hallal slaughtering solution. They have to tell me what is Hallal according to them as I know at least 10 different Hallal slaughtering rites of which a lot are contradictory and in my experience correct "Hallal" is more region based then on scripture. I prefer stunning before slaughter as well, but our company is looking for the best solutions which adhere to both Muslim law as animal welfare and ethics.

  • omg...that was the biggest porta-ban saw iv'e ever seen! and it's on a winch!

  • they are cows for gods sake. we are starving millions right now .. spending any money on cows is foolish unless u spend money on em to grow em and eat em

  • Woah this is nasty but i still like meat... poor cowies. lol at 2:01 the cow in the background has a death twitch 0.0

  • I don't eat meat. Why? I've seen too many videos of factory farming, transportation and slaughterhouse practices to want to contribute to institutionalized torture and my own death.

  • This makes me hungry for a good steak!

  • but beef is so yummy!

  • its still not an Islamic way. the animal must fall before cutting the throat. Plus i dont know if the animal is completely dead before they start taking off the skin.

  • There is still much debate about what is correct Hallal slaughter. In large parts of Europe forcing the animal to the ground has been forbidden a long time already. During recent years also the rotating killing boxes are being banned in more countries. In my opinion this improves animal welfare by a lot.

Secondly, the animals are most definitely dead before any other work is done on the carcass. An animal looses conciousness the moment the cut is finished.

  • Reference? (re: animal losing consciousness the moment the cut is finished)

  • @JustinFromSydney Check the website of Miss. Temple Grandin, she is one of the biggest animal lovers in the world and advises companies on how to treat the animals before and during slaughter to have the least stress possible. Also, if the cut is made wrong and an animal is stressed it can be measured easily in the meat (pH measuring) and the meat will be thrown out.

  • @JustinFromSydney Check out the stories written by Temple Grandin.

  • you can see that at 2.00 a cow in de background is still struggling with it's neck sliced.

I'd prefer electrocution/a bolt through my brain than getting my neck sliced and bleeding to death if you ask me.

  • @wafelijzerstekker The flaying you see of the carcas in the back are just reflexes. It is normal for any human or animal body to have spasms and reflexes during and/or right after death.

  • @asad591 you die 10 to 20 seconds after a throat cutting so yes they are dead

  • i have slaughtered animals, and in albania, usually you want to cut the throat to release the blood, however your main goal is to sever the spine as soon as possible as its known the animal feels it....i dont know why they just leave the spine attached and let the animal bleed like that...as for cows, a blade to the back of the head quickly drops it, however has to be done skillfully or you have one angry cow on your hands and no metal boxes..lol.

  • Somebody on here said that these animals don't feel pain when they are slaughterd in this manner, well as a vet I can tell you that they do. This form of slaughter is cruel and should be banned , if you need to slaughter animals stun them first, if your religeon precludes you from stunning them, become vegeterian, this is 2009AD not 999AD

  • As a vet you know that they do? Really? You have been slaughtered before? They don't feel a thing, what you see are just reflexes. Stunning only eliminates the reflexes.

  • @TheBoris1971 Hurray. A professional person giving opinion on this type of slaughter. I'm aware that slaughterhouses using stunning equipment, CO2 chambers don't always get it right though.I'm not convinced that humane slaughter exists. The concept of rendering insensibility seems to be a tricky one for many slaughterhouses, not that it should be. Best if we all stop eating meat and animal products really.

  • The results of electroencephalograph (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG) readings showed that Islamic ritual slaughtering caused a loss of consciousness before pain could be felt, while the captive bolt stunning caused severe pain to the animal before it lost consciousness.

  • @TheBoris1971 hi they dont feel pain but they brain shuts down but they are still alive so it looks like pain but they dont feel pain and they can see so they are scared so thats why thry kick and try to escape but i have went to the scientists and and vets.iam sorry if this offends you but they dont feel pain

  • Whole world should follow this kind of HALAL slaughtering standards.

  • Be kinder to the animal before you kill it for its meat. Ok, go tell that to the rest of the carnivours of the world. I'm sure that lion would agree with you people who think we should be compassionate about the animals we eat.

I'm more concerned about the living conditions of the animals than how they are killed. How they die is irrelevant, how they lived up to that point should be more cause for concern.

  • are you a natural carnivore?

did you hunt your meat with bare hands?

did you have any biologic adaptation to eat meat?

humans are not carnivore for the obvious reason that the nature did not provide us with the skills that the real carnivores has.

If you consider humas a carnivore specie then you can say that, since they invented elicopters to fly, humans are birds.

  • @stillrage Nope, natural omnivore. Actually, I have hunted meat with my bare hands and according to my dentist the teeth in the front of my mouth are clearly meant for cutting and tearing up meat, not veggies as for those we have the molars in the back. We do have a lot of adaptation which are common in omnivores ans carnivors, one of the most important traits is inteligence. Omnivorous and carnivorous mamals are in most cases much more inteligent as they have to plan and hunt..........

  • Mmmmm... Big Mac... ;D

  • this seems human enough to me...

  • 60 cattle lol lonestar beef in texas we kill 1200 in 8 hours

  • I'm so glad this is approved by the Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. We wouldn't want to be unkind to animals now would we? It's so nice that their stamp of approval absolves us all from the responsibility of their murder. Eat your burger... and don't think about a thing - it's all settled... there is no wrong - there is no harm. Oh yeah, and it's "necessary" because no one can live without eating meat... Except billions of vegetarians and vegans... Dillusional that this is ethical.

  • Well thought out comments. I agree with your views. It breaks my heart that this is going on all the time, all round the world. These animals are so beautiful.

  • They definitely feel it for a second...then they go into shock...The way they cut the face off right after the thoat is cut is unsettling

  • As long as the animal doesnt realize that its going to be slaughtered in this brutal way, it is not cruelty. But the animal should be killed immediatly, not leaving it half done with prolonging agony and pain.

  • You realize that it doesn't feel pain in the way it was cut in this video.

  • well said.

  • @rangy8888 Its veins have been severed that cow feels absolutely no pain at all.

  • this is the way to do it the animal must feel minmum stress. so all you other halal wanabees take note.

  • i dont see whats inhumane, they get shocked or some people use a knocking gun they are unconcious or dead in either cases before having their throats slit. There are far worse farms that needs attentions

  • they have a very very slow chain . our plant does 1800 bodies a day . and bone 3500-3700 sides (half a cow) a day . and they dont just cut there necks open , they have to be knocked by a knocking gun befor being cut open so no animal cruelity

  • This wasn't cruel, they slit it's throat. It was a nice and clean cut dobt the cow felt that much pain seeming his nerves were cut, and it was so quick it was in shock.

  • i agree with you though it didnt look like a nice way to die at least before it was killed the employees were treating the cows with respect and not meat machines

  • i farm and raise cattle and eat alot of red meat this is just a part of life the job nobody really wants but has to be done to feed the masses

  • not sure i could that job! haha for the record, you dont need animal, in your daily diet. I eat red meat probbaly 3-4 times a month, but thats because i like it. i understand that it does nothing more than thicken my blood, and provide inferior protein and fat. its soooo good though.

  • Cattle, if left to their own devices, will slaughter themselves.

  • 3:24 did the cow eated a human?

  • wow - I can't believe how clean those entrails are!!!!

  • Awsomely Greusome. But hey we eat meat. You want to see what some humans do to each other for money!!!! Some of them do this fome 1000's miles away so they dont get their hands dirty

  • Hmm I wonder where these humans get the idea of what they do to each other. The apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. These issues we face in society all stem down to the way we revive ourselves each day. If we didn't eat we die, so what we eat is what we live from, and our next meal is what we live for. Our culture is to blame for our next meal. It is also to blame for our next problem.

  • Well i think that this footage will certainly make people think long and hard about whether this can be the right way to treat a living feeling being.

No one needs to eat meat.

Let the animals live out their natural life.

  • We are lucky to have meat. There are populations with NO food. Go there and tell them they shouldnt eat meat - they will eat you.

  • You go and tell these poor animals, as they bleed to death, that we are lucky to have meat. Somehow I don't think that they will see it like that.

Anyway needs must , so obviously people do survive without food, how else would they be able to eat me!

These beatiful animals don't eat meat, so how can it be right that they are killed like this, or in even crueler ways to provide humans with meat.

Just look how healthy these animals look, before they are killed.

GO VEGE OR BETTER STILL VEGAN

  • I think you should go anorexic. No one needs to eat at all!

  • After the bulls throat is cut, it blinked its eyes only 5 times, after that the bull is dead. The rest of the struggle is just body contraction as the blood flows out of the body.

  • the halal way is very quick and efficient, and there was a video on the slaughter of cows in california, which showed their necks exposed, and tracheas ripped out, while still conscious, and they kept on living for a while. that was gross. this is a dead cow within about 5 seconds. only 5 seconds of pain, if that.

  • psychedallas-- well heres my take on your question-

if we no longer need meat ,why havent our bodies phyically changed over time? are there certain nutrients that our brain signals to only to be found in meat? i find vegans are less aggressive than their meateating counterparts, not always so but to some degree- so does that mean eating meat is a "Alpha" thing?-in the old days if man brought home the kill, he was worshiped and woman saw he could provide, and every woman wants an Alpha male

  • state-of-the-art halal meat :)

  • how could anyone have this job!? so gross. i feel really bad for the cows, i just dont want to be a vegetarian.

  • how can anyone have this job? a job is a job, i work in a meat factory and i really enjoy it, not cos i see cows "processed" all day long, but because of the atmosphere. blokes can be blokes in our factory, you just have to go to work in the right mind set. personally i cant see how someone could sit behind a desk all day.

  • Eating meat is no longer needed to survive (in developed countries), the remaining motive is sensual fulfillment and pleasure? Unless someone else could tell me of another?

Killing for pleasure would have negative implications on my emotional well being and the majority of people I've asked share the same view. So there must be other reasons for eating meat aside from sensual pleasure that I have overlooked. I'd appreciate honest feedback.

  • hmmm i disagree, whislt it s possible to live without meat consumption, often suppliments (vitamins) are taken to balance out the diet. our bodies need esstential amino acids to survive. which are protiens and precursors needed for proper brain function, they are deemed esstenial due to the fact our bodies cannot make them. and the biggest source of said protiens are found in meats. so whilst i understand your stance on the issue, i stil believe that consumption of meat is needed to survive

  • it is the most humane way, science has shown hat they feel less distress than stunned animals, and death is instant. and the meat is cleaner as the blood is not left like in the stunned animals.

  • Who wants a curry...

  • honestly this looks to be the most humane way to slaughter a cow. the animal dies in a matter of seconds

  • have these cows been stunned

  • No, Islam doesnt allow the stunning of Animal, The cow instantly looses it's blood supply to the brain but the cutting of the Jugular and the 2 major arteries and nerves

  • electric stunning induces a grand mal seizure, if done right painless

  • Hello, people, they are cows. Nuff said.

  • What's that supposed to mean? Or what are you implying.

  • he said it's cows nuff said...

  • if im not wrong, the cattle should be tied ONLY after it has died right? i mean, the cattle was still shaking about when it was hanged. but good though, the knife was sharp enough for 1 stroke at the neck.

  • I think that was nervous reflex, rather than suggestive of any conscious brain activity. I was a bit worried about the bullock that came along on the line as the other one was getting it's throat cut. It seemed to respond to hitting the wall - could this be reflex or was it conscious?

  • Scientific Research Proves Islamic Slaughter is Humane

  • hungry.

  • MMMMM I WANT SOME MEET...NOW

  • where can i down loadthis vid if can?

  • wow so this is how are hamburger is made love it

  • Perfect for children. It's nice to know where your food comes from, that way they can decide for themselves.

  • Exactly right christian1127

  • i accidentally gave your comment a thumbs down but i meant to give it a thumbs up. you hit the nail on the head. we insult our children by lying to them about what we feed them, same as we are insulted by the companies who sell us this cruel garbage and lie about it advertising it as humane and healthy. the truth is that this is completely cruel and unnecessary no matter how you kill the beautiful animal.

  • "This video may not be suitable for minors."

Why? Because young kids might get to see where their food comes from?

If there's nothing wrong with this kind of slaughter, why hide it from children?

  • @digitizerSF This would be a cool Field Trip for First Graders...They would enjoy hands-on learning..Ya hear me?

  • Yes but notice how QUICKLY the Animal was killed, and lost consciousness?

Ofcourse if you are vegetarian i understand you will still find this inhumane.

But i DARE you to COMPARE this to ANY other Method and prove any other method more Humane? Electric shock, where the blood boils for minutes? No thankyou.

  • actually i work in an abattoir, and we are full export, mainly to the middle east but we sell alot of meat to mcdonalds in the US, so we are 99% halal producers and we use both electric shock AND bleeding. under the rules of halal you can render an animal unconcious to the point of it being able to recover before you slit the throat, and with our method the cattle CAN recover after being shocked. also, technically the blade is meant to be 4 times the size of the neck, however thats very rare.

  • Wouldn't want to step in that machine by mistake.

  • In australia we use captive bolts and I dont think our methods are anywhere near as humane as the method i have just seen. That slaughterman is so skilled and there was no actual cutting, just one slice. thats more humane that a captive bolt and less stressful for the poor animal.

  • Waching this video prooves that the slaughter and butchering of meat is good and the animals are not placed in cruelty at all. I feel much better about the steaks I am about to cook tonight. Thank you.

  • Yes, but unfortunately this is one plant in Belgium. While the actual act of slaughter in the US is, generally, deemed "humane, that is the animal is unconscious when slaughtered, its life prior to slaughter can run the gambit, depending on the farmer. The cows and steers are alive for 24 months prior to being brought to slaughter. I am all for eating meat, I just wish I could see animals raised naturally on the diet nature intended for them before they are slaughtered.

  • my first animal was a belgian blue top quality

  • it's whats for dinner!!!

  • petermines the animal needs to be healthy at the time of slaughter for obvious reasons. who wants to eat a diseased animal???

  • mmmmh beef

  • MashAllah . Halal Food is Allowed for Muslims and its good for health . I would advice others to use Halal only food.

  • I am curious if the Halal laws were made with the emotional vibration of the animal at the time of slaughter in mind. Am I on the right track?

    :)

  • halal is good it is supposed to mean that the animal has not felt pain and its in health

  • If your not supposed to eat it, then why is it made out of meat?

  • Meat = muscle, which is required to move and manipulate the body in the physical reality.

We're made of meat too, just not as tasty.

    (Oh yes, i'd know ;))

  • This vid puts dignity back into the sacrifice needed for these animals' meat. This is how it should be done, in a clean, sterile manner by trained and well payed individuals.

  • exactly! isn't that slaughter plant designed by Dr. Temple Grandin??

  • The slaughter house is not designed by Temple Grandin. However, the stunning boxes used are of the type advised by her (Facomia upright ritual slaughtering box) and the butcher making the cut is very skilled. Most of Grandin's tips and suggestions for slaughtering cattle were already in use in this slaughter house because humane slaughtering is not only better for the animal, but also delivers a higher meat quality.

  • my uncle had turkeys, and he'd agree on this.

  • i agree with the fact it should be done in a clean environment but it should also be pain and stress free, and from what ive seen thats not the case, the animal was alive for a while after its throat had been slit. Its not necessary for it to be done this way considering stunning it first would be kinder to the animal Its an outdated religious practise. as long as the meat is clean and was obtained in a humane way thats the most important thing, not some prayer said while it bleeds to death

  • I have worked in abattiors for about 10yrs & I have my Cert 1,2 & 3 in meat safety. This includes: Humane slaugher of animals. There is nothing humane about the slaughter of these animals. The animal was stll concious while its throat was being cut. This stresses the animal and results in shorter shelf life and poorer quality of the meat.Where i work we use a captive bolt stunner. This is very effective and cannot be reversed. Two of the 9 Signs of this are NO corneal reflex and tongue is hanging out

  • that is exactly right mate. you can still get halal meat after humanely stunning the cattle first. (this is humane as a vet oversees the process)

  • can i just say that if a human can get hurt or die by an electric shock, then so can a cow, so how is electricuting a defencless animal humane, the animal dies feeling that shock, whereas a sharp blade/knife cuts through the wind pipe and nerve in 1 stroke preventing the animal feeling pain

  • I always did wonder how the cattle were cut in half like that....

  • holy fuck usally thy stun them before slitting the neck

  • true, but for halal meat, the cow (or whatever creture that will be slaughtered) requires it to be healthy and with no ailments. This means that they it will not be called halal if stunned, (i think that they just want to keep a religion, the stunning does not make an animal sick it, it puts the animal into a coma or fit therefore it cannot feel, hear and see anything, therefore slitting the neck will be painless. i can be incorrect, let me know without any vulgar words, cheers

  • I think you are correct pussbag14.

I can never understand the logic behind the religious aspect of halal where the animal is required to be healthy at the time of slaughter. One would think that there is little difference between stunning and a throat cut as they both amount to the same product at the same time which would suggest that it is nothing more than a time honoured tradition.

In this case the knife is firstly pushed into the animal which will surely be painful.

  • no they do it with a sharp knife and so deep they cant feel it

  • Magic knife is it?

  • lol Im sure it was

  • Halal slaughter leads to the best meat. It all happens at 1:45 ... LOL! Me likey juicy burger :)

  • COMPANISH IN WORLD FARMING. RESPECT
