Had one when I was a teenager. Comfortable ride but probably the worst handling bike I've ever ridden -- flexible frame, too much tire for the weight, would skid on any kind of damp road. I was told that the design arose from one of those "what would you like to see after the war" articles in a bike magazine. The result is an unholy amalgam of all the signature features of a Triumph, a Harley (or other US V twin) and a BMW......truly a 'design by committee' bike. Classy, though.

That is such a gorgeous bike. I want one so badly! S7s are surely just the most beautiful bike ever made. They even sound great.

My father had one in the 50's untill a van pulled out infront of him and wrote it off & nearly wrote him off too. :( he was always saying what a great bike it was & if was still here it would be my'n & i'v always said i'll get 1 1day & take him on it, :) i'll get 1 but it will be a while till i can what with import & stuff
