I'm french, and some mistakes in his phrases that have no sence
for exemple when he said "i'm a english studient" he translated word by word into french, it doesnt work like that, we don't say "je suis étudiant d'anglais" but "Je suis étudiant en anglais"...
@Landon8151 Yes, there is a teeny tiny "y" sound before the "at", but it is ever so slight. If you want to add in the "flourish", do it very very VERY lightly.
esti edepais c sur que ces la meme affaire que litalien loll ces des langue latine ... et il derrive pas mal tout du francais ....mes dit pas que lespagniole est comme litalien , anyways les anglais essaye trop de parler du nez stie c trop drole haha dsl je vais en voir dautre comme toi qui me font rire hahaha ....et en passant savait tu que dog est francais ca ce disait dug ..
I'm awfully sorry to inform you but tu in Spanish is "usted" and in Portuguese is really "tu", but Portuguese from Portugal because we have Portuguese from Brazil and we say "voce" (in fact você) that is similar to "vou" in French. How about making some changes before taking risks and teaching wrong meanings? Sorry, but I just want you to be a little bit more aware of some small but not less important details. =)
Usted is the formal way to say tu. Tu is common between friends in spanish... In the begging of the video he mentions that tu is used between friends in french... review the video...
@Maremarisa usted is the formal you in Spanish; tu is informal you, same as French; ex. and you also? Spanish formal: y usted tambien? informal: y tu tambien?
I'm learning alot for my GCSE's. Although I'm getting a bit lost. You should put numbers in front of your titles e.g. 1# Anyone can speak French (tu). Great vids though, 5 stars.
Je suis certain que vos vidéos peuvent être très utiles pour les anglophones désirant améliorer leur français. Vous semblez avoir une bonne compréhension des principes de base.
Soit dit en passant, vous avez une très bonne maîtrise du «r» français!
Very good! But you might want to work on your pronunciation of the pronoun «tu» which sounded too much like the spanish or italian way of saying «tu» («tou») rather than the real «tu», and the second person singular conjugation for faire is «tu fais» with an «s», not with a «t» like it was written on the screen (I'm sure it's just a typo!).
Also :
Ingénieur : like «heure» --> in-gé-ni(h)eure, just like you wounderfully pronunced the «eur» in «professEUR».
Thanks for a cool video. I understand this language but the problem for me is to ask the native speakers to speak slowly, how do you say that in french just to make sure you understand at the pace you like to hear. Do to the prononuciation and speaking fast you sometimes miss some words and make a merde of the sentence in the head.
Everyone is nice to you because you are so good at teaching and your not boring! Just wondering, but are going to become a French teacher? Because if not then you should!! Your videos are AMAZING!!! : D

Hello!
Your videos are great, and you speak very well french (and I know what I'm saying because I'm french^^)
But you made a little mistake. You spelled "Tu faiT quoi comme travail?" wrong.
It's "Tu faiS quoi", because of the "tu" (faiT is for "il/elle)
I know french is difficult to learn^^ Good luck! Bonne chance!

Avocado & lawyer are the same word in French? What if I really am an avocado but people think I'm saying I'm a lawyer??? Then I'd be in a quandry.

Is avocat pronounced "a-vo-ka" or "a-vo-kya? A friend of mine, who speaks French, says there's a 'kya' sound at the end.

I never heard a Y sound in Avocat. (I'm french).
But Architecte is pronounced like "arshitect", (not arkitect).

@thefrenchguy3000
There's no Y on avocat?. It's just a-vo-ka.

@fumarganja Thank you. Now I realize that. Sorry for my foolish comment. ;-)
Maremarisa 1 year ago
@fumarganja in fact when you say " vous" it is a (side, kind , a form ) of respect
when you speack with someone you don't know it's better to use " vous" because 'tu' it's familiar
