  • what do you think.. what is important to achieve those blue sky's directly by making them.. is there any filter for a camera or something? many of my seaside sky fotos look like this first pic..

  • @azzurres1 You could try using a polarizing filter, give 'polarizing filter' a google :)

  • Everyone Type "Won" Before youtube.com

  • Really good. It's great to have a tutorial with a voice and step by step instructions instead of music and whizzing through menus so fast I don't know where I'm at. We're all beginners at some stage. Keep it up, brilliant.

  • didnt work it pasted a small square of sky?

  • after using the wand tool, you can move the shape of the selected area and then drag that onto the sky picture. then move it back into the original picture and change the filter mode to screen or something.

  • thanks for the easy tutorial

  • Bravo! I never heard of "paste into" before, thank you for the insight! Feathering edges was incredibly helpful as well! Cheers

  • I'm trying to replace an overcast white sky for a blue one, but the blue sky I wanted doesn't show up, and it pastes more of the white sky instead. The only differne the expanding and the feathering of the edges. It's as if it's confused about which sky I want. What am I doing wrong?

  • thanks..thanks....

  • When I Paste Into, the Sky is really smaller than the original, how do i get it to paste into full size?

  • I am using PS cs3 and when I open my photos I can not get the select all option nor any of the other options to show on my drop downs. Why would that be?

  • any one who use this method is not a real photography

  • thanks, man! very nice. the most easy way to change the sky. thank you.

  • when I past into, the whole sky picture is only a fraction of my background..

  • Your sky picture is too small to begin with. Best take your own shots of various sky's so you can have your choice instead of downloading from Google or Yahoo Images.

  • @Trevoc2 thank you!

  • Thanks, that is one good tutorial!!!

  • thank god ur living :D

  • Thx it helped :)

  • thats a good tutorial, though Ive never thought of changng the sky before... lol

    thank you!

  • THNX ..

  • great video.. but i have one problem.. when i paste the image into the antoher image the "ned sky image" got really tiny..and doesnt't fill all..what do i do ?

  • select the new sky layer, then select the lasso tool, and RIGHT click the sky image. Pick free transform now all you do is drag the corner dot untill you get the size you want. :) And if it looks really blury dont worry just press enter and it will fix it self. PS you HAVE to be on the lasso tool for free transform to show up

  • Fantastic job , very well presented

  • Agreed!

  • where do you get a lot of tools on the left i have only a couple of them , and in this video there is tools that i don't have , please help

  • Absolutely fabulous, precise, concise and stunningly effective. THANKS!!

  • THANks THANks U ROCK SO CLEAR ALSO WORKS WHIT CS4!!!

  • interesting tutorial.

  • oh my god. i love you. T___T you've made photoshoping for me so much easier. i can't thank you enough.

  • You are a wonderful teacher. Not difficult or boring to listen to. Love this idea!!!!!

  • forget it now i know

  • how do you open two pictures at the same time?? please REPLY

  • hold Ctrl and click the 2 pictures

  • You open the second image by selecting OPEN and choosing your image. In CS4 it will drop into the same box as the first. To have them side by side click on the title at the top and drag it to the desktop. To have both images in a stacked layer, copy the second picture and paste it onto the first. In the layer pallet it will be shown on top. To put that under the background layer either make a duplicate layer of the background or change the background layer name to something else.

  • love your tutorial!

  • A very smart technique. Thanks a lot.

  • Fantastic, very well explained. Have just subscribed to you.

    Thanks

  • Brilliant mate, thanks heaps "Patty

  • Yeah but how good did it look around that tree at the bottom?

  • Not as bad as you might think. Blue sky joining blue sky looks ok,.just needed a bit of blending with the sponge tool..

  • very good tutorial

  • Wtf, when I try that in CS4 I get only a small picture into that area. No way to size it up.

    someone?

  • maybe the image u are importing is too small in the first place

  • you are making it look more easy each time I watch , it takes an older person longer to take I in( BUT I HAVE NOW ) , thank for listing

  • thx dude

  • very cool and educational. thanks for sharing.

  • Excellent! Im working with HDR at the moment, and being able to replace/add skies is a boon. Your tutorial has been very timely!

    Thanks

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great tutorial. thanks so much :-)

  • NOW I know how to make those sky changings look realistic! I just hated those white line round the edges of my subjects! Thank you very much!

  • I'm glad you found it useful. I should have mentioned for best results your new sky should be similar to the old one. So replace a plain blue sky with a fluffy cloud blue sky, or a flat grey sky with a stormy grey sky.

  • Excellent! Keep the tutorials coming! Thanks for sharing your tips and techniques!

  • Great tutorial!

    Keep It Up!

  • Again, very informative. I will be using all of your tips in a new picture I am working on. Thanks Gavin!

  • Hi Gavin. Nice tutorial...thanks for sharing. One bit of info that might be worthwhile: you can do both your feather and expand in one place: the refine edge dialog. You can also preview the delta from this feature.

  • There's always another way in Photoshop. Refine egde is excellent, but only available in CS3 and Elements 6. I guess I'm just a bit old school and stick to what I know works for me.

  • Hi, you know how change sky color in video ?

  • Not really my area of expertise, but if the sky was a clean blue I guess it might be possible to chroma key it out.
