  • the 90s were EXTREME!!!!!!

  • Goddamnit the 90s!

  • the only bad part is the darth vader esque villain

  • Black drrrraaaagggoooonn... he sounds so derpy lol.

  • Quickstrike!

    PUNCH!! *o*

  • Hmmm. That's a pretty awful opening as well, but not as bad as DIC Joe.

  • How can this be EXTREME? No one is in a wheelchair!

  • ballistic... HARPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

  • Beast Wars and GI Joe Extreme...90s HUB...LMAO

  • Does he shout-growl every line in the show as well?

  • Perhaps the longest single minute in animated history....it honestly feels like a min 50. Oh btw - Extreeeeeeeeme!

  • Extreme? Without Snake-Eyes? Please.

Although I can see why they left him out. How the hell is he supposed to go into roll call?

  • rob liefield's gi joe

  • @mephosto

    Nope.

    Not enough pouches.

  • Iron Claw looks like M. Bison.

  • GI JOE on steroids...everything so...extreeemeeee...waakakakakakaka

  • I actually liked this GI JOE a lot more than the damn classic one..

  • I remember owning a Sgt. Savage figure, still have it. I'd show it to my friends and they'd say that regular GI Joes are better.

  • my fav of all gi joe

  • hehey i remember that intro very catchy too LOL

  • It's like the 90's all in one convenient package

  • iron claw would beat cobra commanders ass! then spit in his metal face

  • @weaponx22001

    I LIKE YOU !! LOL

And.....Yeah, HE WOULD, no contest there

Iron Klaw was the best !

  • @weaponx22001 only if iron claw could catch up to cobra commander nobody runs away from a fight as fast as COOOOBRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

  • @LaZeRWoLfX he would break his leg before he ran off for a retreat

    :)

  • Roll Call Extreeeeeeeeeme! Ballistic Har -Poon May day Black dragaaan Thunder savage Quick sex? Melvin Rape L.t. Stone
  • @KuroCartoonist XD Ballistic! Harpoon! Mayday! Black Dragon! Sgt. Savage! Quickstrike! Metalhead! Freight! Lt. Stone! XD It's understandable why you weren't able to hear the role call well. XD
  • Extreme? Without Snake-Eyes this is not extreme.

  • @blade10000 don't forget Sgt. Slaughter

  • I remember this series. I only saw a handful of episodes and I thought it was okay. I don't know how much toys affect the cartoon counterparts, but I'm pretty sure the series didn't last because it had almost none of the original G.I. Joe characters, and the one it did include was a late and relatively unknown arrival. Fans of the original didn't like change and non-fans probably didn't care about this new show at all.

I wasn't aware the opening was ever edited, by the way.

  • @FlamingBat

yeah, the 2nd season cut a big chunck out of it

  • @jamarmiller Sort of like they sometimes do with The Simpsons and American Dad to save time?

  • Man this is of better quality. Thanks for the upload. Made my day [^_^]

  • It's as if Image Comics from the 90's, got a hold of GI Joe from the 80's.

  • @HarUman1234

awesome isnt it!! this was by far ( to date ) the best , most adult written GI JOE series produced, it was really the BEAST WARS of GI JOE. basically from episode 8-26 it was one long continuous story. Had it had a SMALL link to the previous generation of GI JOE ( larger than the SGT SAVAGE one ) like beast wars and had the toys been better and in the same scale, people would have looked very differently at this series, one of greater fondess

  • @jamarmiller Have you ever read the old GI Joe comics? People died on a regular basis. The comic was so much more mature than the cartoon it was based on.

  • @HarUman1234

of course I have LOL !! but I am talking about cartoons not comic, GIVE ME THE orgiinal MARVEL comics stuff ANY DAY LOL. But again no comparing this to comics. different medium, this is cartoon and I am comparing it to the other cartoons ( full series, not mini-series like resolute )

  • @HarUman1234 The comics were not based on the cartoon. The comics started in 1982, while the first cartoon was in 1985.

  • @puckerings Well I know that I was making a joke about the EXTREME-ness.

  • Respond to this video... meant to say the SGT SAVAGE link to the previous JOE generation and this series

  • :O.... no more COBRA? and i thought that guy was a remake of Snake eyes,....

  • I only remember parts if this but I thought it was really good (what I could catch). They just don't make cartoons like this any more. :-(

Any1 know if this is on DVD yet?

  • @Perf0Cell

sadly no, well there was 2 dvds released in the netherlands which had the first 6, very nice dvds if you can find them but you would also need a region free dvd player unless you were from there

  • EXTREME!!!!!!!!!

  • The odds are MILLION TO ONE~!!

We'll be VICTORIOUS~! >:) Love the epic from Claw.

  • Was this made by Rob Leifeld?

  • @Deckof51 Not quite, they actually have feet.

  • That Ironclaw fellow some reason reminds me of Bane from Batman Animated Series.

  • To this day, "G.I. Joe Extreme ... EXTREEEEME!" is a near everyday part of my inner monologue.

Arguably the definitive moment of straight faced extremity.

  • Why did they change the classic characters? Not only is it lacking Cobra, but Duke, Scarlett, Flint, Lady Jaye, etc. Never change a format that's worked before.

  • @hulkmeister23

I was actually happy for the new start, wished it had later brought in some links to the previous joes of course ( like beast wars of Transformers fame ) but still liked the all new cast

  • "And that's the way we like it." Fascinating how this show teaches kids to develop more positive attitudes towards life.

  • god damn that was EXTREME!!!!!

  • I heard a podcast recently about how certain cartoons would set up the series concept rather well in the opening credits so the show itself could just get to it. That has this going for it.

Too bad you didn't include the low-budget live-action prologue.

  • OMG--the live action segments! I totally forgot about those!

  • The only thing connecting this 2 real american hero was the one video tape called sgt savage & his screaming eagles. Cobra isn't mentioned because they ran out of money. As Cobra Commander said "World domination is expensive!"

  • This takes me wayyyyyyyy back

  • Ohh you are right. Resolute was amazing O-o! I would like to change my opinion to resolute. Is it avaliable on DVD?

  • as far as i know...no. but something as good as resolute should find its way to dvd soon enough. they actually aired this on tv on adult swim(cartoon network) somehow i must have missed it. i would love to watch it again on my lcd tv.

  • Me 2 and thanks for the recomendation. That was great!

  • Prefer extreme to all the other Joe Cartoons

  • this is as manly as it can get for a cartoon. Awesome stuff. Stone kinda looks like Duke Nukem.

  • check out gi joe sigma 6 it may contest to this :)

  • I guess you've never seen the intro of Iron Man (1996)

  • XTREME!

    Yelling this makes everything better

  • G.I. Joe EXTREME!

Such an underrated show in my book.

  • I once showed my Sgt. Savage figure to my friends and they said they like regular GI Joes better as they had guys like Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.

  • so 90's

  • I've always believed that this was a trial run for G.I. Joe: Sigma 6. Or, at the very least, the next step from Battleforce 2000.

  • EXTREME was awesome!

  • I loved Blackdragon (the ninja)! He was legendary!!!

  • One of the most memorable cartoons i ever watched in my whole life, and certainly IMO one of the more definitive cartoon of its era when it came out

    in short: I LOVE IT

  • EXTREEEEEME!

  • there is other gi joe before this and the classicals

  • that guy is pumped steriods?

  • I cannot even contemplate the number of times I heard the word "Extreme" back in the 1990's.

  • Thanks for this post. Great show! GREAT memories!! 5/5

  • This show owned! It's a shame it didn't stay on longer than it did! = (

  • Not enough people say "not on my watch!" anymore. Coolest catch phrase ever.

  • Don't let the cheesy opening fools you, it's a great show. I mean, one of the bad guy haves a Missile Launcher mounted on his shoulder. That gotta count for something.

  • and the villain sounds like megatron from beastwars

  • It's actually Richard Newman who voiced Rhinox in Beast Wars but close enough, lol

  • Gary Chalk A.K.A. Optimus Primal & Prime of the Beast Wars & Unicron Triory!

  • EXTREME

  • The odds are a million to one... ....AND THATS THE WAY WE LIKE IT!

  • EXTREEEEEEEEEEME

  • memooooooriiiiiiiiiiessssssssss

  • why all 90s cartoon have EXTREME for it title : to the max

  • i rember watching this as a kid, and i just got threw watching it again, but did'nt it have a live action opening?

  • ya the first 11 episodes did

  • They should have used Claw in the real gijoe cartoon. It's a cool concept. Ironclaw was more menacing than Cobra Commander.

  • hell ya thats what I thought, I would love to see IRON KLAW return in the new toyline

  • Roll call! EXTREEEEEEEEME!

  • Epic cartoon. It was way deeper than the original GI JOE

  • Yep it was the best written Joe series of them all. the most mature for sure, It was really the Beast Wars of GI JOE

  • @Golgothax i haven't watched this years and i mean yeras...last time i saw this was wen i was kid in sweden

  • it's weird, it may have not been the best Known, but it was very underraited and it's nice to see that the japanese at least reconize this series as Cannon (SOme of the Binaritech figure refer to alot of G.I. Joe Extreme events)

  • i had the action figures

  • come check out the forums we got all kinds of info there interviews reviews concept sketches alot of fun

  • HAHAHAHA

    the luternant stone!

he will crash your like a pleb.

    :P

    me and my brtohers used

to wake up just to watch this

    LOL!

    (:

    oh the memories

  • Gary Chalke does'nt know how to distingush his voice that well...does he? (Neither did Chris Latta for that matter)

  • this series is cool and all. However it can't beat the original old school joe cartoon.

  • I love this

  • Never REALLY cared for this. I mean, it's cool someone thought GI Joe should have a more mature approach and maybe it should but I enjoy the old Joe and it's sillyness, really

  • while the tagalized GI joe cartoon is aired every tuesday nights on channel 5 back in 1999,this 1990`s rendition is on channel 9 at the same year.

  • I like the old GI Joe Series better where they were fighting against COBRA. Has anyone Noticed that in Season 2, Balistic's name was changed to Eagle Eye?

  • ya wierd isnt it that it was changed with no explanation

  • What really bothered me was in a New GI JOE Extreme Season, Why was Ballistic's Name Changed to EAGLE EYE?

  • very good question and they never explained as to why I always thought since they knew Iron Klaw was in the white house in season 1 they must have found out he tried to get the joes info and Ballistics was the only one he semi-accessed so they had to change it!??? do i get a no prize?? hahahaha I dont know maybe legal issues or something

  • yeah this one was great i liked the part with the live actors too

  • anyone interested in seeing this series for free e-mail me for options , all I want is a little review/summary of 2 eps

  • This was by far the best JOE cartoon we have ever gotten , it was the most mature and well thought out of all the cartoons we have ever gotten but most people havent seen the entire series and dont even know about season 2, anyone who watched this series in its entirety will agree

  • Too bad this didn't go over so well. Oh, well--it has its place in G.I. Joe history.

  • haha, i had a crush on mayday as a kid.
