With regards to the pasta, add some salt to the water before you put it in. That will give it taste, and stop it from sticking.

Why don't you try making your own sauce next time?.....there is this song by Daft Punk (Revolution 909) which music video has a recipe to make pasta sauce.

Small hint, a lil bit of olive oil in the pasta water will prevent the paster from clumping or sticking together and thus allow the whole thing to cook =D
