  • I've seen a somewhat similar dish in Hong Kong called "live drunken shrimp". Basically, the shrimp were immersed in Xioaxing (sp?) wine for a minute and then served up while still alive (though highly anesthetized!)

  • My mom makes that sometimes. Except the shrimp is already dead. I don't know where they sell live ones in the US. Its really good still.
