Another thing to think about is that Marcus shredded ASU in that Fiesta Bowl in basically 1 half. Then Switzer decided to place the blame on Marcus because he felt that he was too heavy and was out of shape. Uh, if you look at the score, it was the OU D that couldn't stop ASU. They gave up over 30 points. Had they shown up that day they would have won easy just based on the game Marcus Dupree had.Switzer was an idiot for blaming Marcus for that loss.
@MrYougotjohn To say there will never be a better RB in football history is saying that you THINK he is the best RB to ever play the game....but to be the best you have to perform at absolute highest level possible over a long time....Sorry to say, but Dupree did not do that. All we have left to wonder with him is a strong "What if?"
he had all the talents in the world, but i just think he didnt get his way and quit on oklahoma. if he had worked harder and became a better team player oklahoma might've won more games and maybe a national title. once he left it didnt really matter it was like barry switzer said "if you come here you'll win a national title, if you dont come here we'll still win a national title"
Yes. Buster Rhymes was a player for OU long before the rapper had the name. Buster is mentioned in part 2 I think, he catches 2 passes. Really talented kid and one of the coolest names ever.
First time I ever saw highlights of the 83 Stanford game...Was he out of 83 Tulsa or just no good highlights to speak of?

You have to remember that Dupree did not want to be at OU two weeks after he got there. Just imagine if his heart was in it.

Dupree definitely had the best name of any RB... and the most talent by FAR. He was a phenom and there'll never be a better RB in football history.

Bo Jackson hurt his hip playing for the Raiders, dident have anything to do with the USFL.

I would have stayed in school. The USFL ruined too many carreers!!! Billy Sims, Bo Jackson, Marcus Dupree, Eric Dickerson, Big Awesome Athletes!!!
