  • "the price" typo on beggining

  • dont they charge? when i tryed to hook up it cost like 9.99 per hour!!!!!!

  • @johngettershow

It cost $5 for this scheduled 2 hour flight. Last SWA WIFI fight I was on was $2.50 for a 1 hour scheduled flight.

It was a fixed rate, not by the hour in my 2 flights.

  • @BeechSundowner sorry I got my numbers mixed up...

    but cool

  • @johngettershow

Actually, I don't think you were that far off. I heard that Delta charged 10 bucks for a 24 hour period, but I don't know for sure since I have not been on a Delta flight with WIFI.

  • @BeechSundowner yeah...

not price is not horrible....its just you would think that planes would have free wifi like McDonalds and stuff....

i mean most airports ive been to have free wifi inside them...

but not the planes i guess....airlines who offered free wifi would probley get more service lol :)

i mean they tell you not to use your phone in flight right? so no 3g service right? they take that away from you so you might as well have FREE wifi

  • @johngettershow

Well, looking at the whole picture, cost of maintaining the WIFI infrastructure I am sure is part of us paying and also, maybe airlines have to pay a bill for satellite communication for WIFI connection?

Dunno, but free on an airline, nah, I don't expect it since really it's a luxury :-)

  • OK, now I follow. You recorded on the palm cam and put it up on You Tube later. What make/model palm size camera did you use? The quality looked very good!

  • @Flyboy737

Casio exelim camera was used. Thes video was actually recorded in low quality. Camera has HD recording capability.

  • Don't you love this rule? But in your own aircraft, it can be used anytime.

  • OK! It looked like you were recording during the takeoff and landing below 10K.

  • @Flyboy737

Yes, I was :-) but with a palm size digital camera, not the Ipad.

  • Nice Video. Does Southwest now allow the use of an Electronic Device such as the iPAD during takeoffs and landings?

  • @Flyboy737

No, still must be stowed at 10 thousand feet for landings. During takeoff, can't use it until 10K or cleared by flight attendant.
