i don't care what anybody has to say about it, but country was actually COUNTRY back then! Tillis, Loveless, Tucker, McEntire, Tritt, Stuart, Strait, Jackson... etc. the mid-90s and back is the real thing! after that country straight up SUCKED for like 10 years and then Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood came back and it TRIED to get good again, at least it would if Underwood would stop trying to be a pop diva and sing the good stuff! just my opinion!

But, as Hank 3 says, "We're losing all the outlaws, that had to stand their ground, and they're being replaced by these kids from a manufactured town, and they don't have no idea, about sorrow and woe, 'cause they're all just too damn busy, kissin' ass on music row..." And I have to agree when he says, "Pop Country really sucks!" Which is Paisley, Chesney, and Underwood as well.

@randyjurczyk i've gotta disagree with you on Paisley! Underwood got her wires crossed somewhere and decided to be a pop diva. Paisley, naw, man, you got it wrong! you can't say the man ain't real country just cuz he's rich and famous! hank, johnny, reba, jackson, strait, they are/were ALL rich, so you can't really support that argument! hate brad for being rich, being a kick-ass guitarist and a great guy, but you can't justifiably call the man a sell out! other than that you're dead nuts right!

I have always loved this song. A lot of people have found the mystque of Memphis unexplainable and yet wonderful. Home of the Blues, the Birthplace of Rock n' Roll. Home to SUN, STAX, Graceland, etc. Too bad this video was filmed Nashville. Maybe it would have been better if filmed in Memphis.

I retract my previous posts. After research, it was discovered that she suffered a near-fatal car accident at 16 (she was a "rebellious teen" according to online articles- I would say she was more like a spoiled brat, maybe) and had to have facial reconstruction.

She has a wonderful voice and talent and songs!!

I was also touched by the story of her accident and the fact that it was said she endured years of restorative surgery. I am thankful for her example of strength, courage, determination and endurance.
