i don't care what anybody has to say about it, but country was actually COUNTRY back then! Tillis, Loveless, Tucker, McEntire, Tritt, Stuart, Strait, Jackson... etc. the mid-90s and back is the real thing! after that country straight up SUCKED for like 10 years and then Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood came back and it TRIED to get good again, at least it would if Underwood would stop trying to be a pop diva and sing the good stuff! just my opinion!
@jteshuwah Well, you're about half right anyway. Mid 90's back and Hank 3, real outlaw country good stuff. But, as Hank 3 says, "We're losing all the outlaws, that had to stand their ground, and they're being replaced by these kids from a manufactured town, and they don't have no idea, about sorrow and woe, 'cause they're all just too damn busy, kissin' ass on music row..." And I have to agree when he says, "Pop Country really sucks!" Which is Paisley, Chesney, and Underwood as well.
@randyjurczyk i've gotta disagree with you on Paisley! Underwood got her wires crossed somewhere and decided to be a pop diva. Paisley, naw, man, you got it wrong! you can't say the man ain't real country just cuz he's rich and famous! hank, johnny, reba, jackson, strait, they are/were ALL rich, so you can't really support that argument! hate brad for being rich, being a kick-ass guitarist and a great guy, but you can't justifiably call the man a sell out! other than that you're dead nuts right!
I just saw Pam Tillis in Canyonville ORegon and she was AWESOME! She is hott, sexy, great singer, great dance and funny! I also loved watching Mary Sue (band member) HOT HOT HOT!!
she so hott always love this song came out when i was in tn moved from tx and that brought so many memories when i moved back to tx and the girls i met in the south thanks for a great song
I have always loved this song. A lot of people have found the mystque of Memphis unexplainable and yet wonderful. Home of the Blues, the Birthplace of Rock n' Roll. Home to SUN, STAX, Graceland, etc. Too bad this video was filmed Nashville. Maybe it would have been better if filmed in Memphis.
@memphisguide MEMPHIS IS A SHIT HOLE! CRIME IS ON THE RISE EVER YEAR. I DON'T MEAN JUST ON THE SAME RATE AS THE REST OF THE NATION EITHER. THEIR VIOLENT CRIME AND PROSTITUTION IS OUT OF CONTROL!
This was me and my wife's song. She is only 38, but because of a degenerative nerve disease is in a nursing home both mind and body destroyed. I miss her so much. Thank you for posting.
ya know I am one of the few that can understand the shaky camera on here this is one of those songs you can't help but sway to when she sings it it reaches your heart and makes you want to dance to it

love her. hate that the person filming this has parkinson's disease though. my god, i've never seen such a shaky camera. but thanks anyway, for recording this!
When Pam gets a hold of the right song such as this one, there's no stopping her. I wish that I could have seen her at the Opryland hotel christmas show.
she was good- definitely an 80's lady. I wish she'd get back together w/ some others like Metea, etc. and show what country music is. Add Mary Chapin Carpenter and you'll have the hottest 80's-90's ladies that can sing.
I retract my previous posts. After research, it was discovered that she suffered a near-fatal car accident at 16 (she was a "rebellious teen" according to online articles- I would say she was more like a spoiled brat, maybe) and had to have facial reconstruction.
This song is one of my all-time favorites, too. It is such a miracle that she is with us. She has a gift that has touched and inspired me. I was also touched by the story of her accident and the fact that it was said she endured years of restorative surgery. I am thankful for her example of strength, courage, determination and endurance.
I think that Pam is lovely. She has had reconstructive surgery over the years trying to repair it. I don't even notice anything with her face, what you can't help but notice is the enormous talent that is coming out of that face.
Great song! :)

Pam Tillis has a beautiful voice, but her face.
I hate to sound shallow. But something is not right about her features.
