Yay, I have just bought a Mac (a 24" iMac to be precise...) and I am really enjoying it! although I will never need to do this (installing apps), it was fun to watch anyway.

What happens with the dmg file once u have done the double click? Does it disappear from the desktop when u put the program into the application folder, or wherever??

nope... its a read only file.. :) the dmg stays put! :) and the contense are coppied not moved .. :)
