If you read about post-war Germany it was near impossible to find a Nazi party member. Nobody wanted to admit that they supported persecution. In the US with mountains of government statistics on usage rates and our own observations of local neighborhoods it is impossible for an honest person to say the "War on Drugs" lowers drug use. However, nobody wants to admit they support persecution.

I'm just flabbergasted that a country that markets itself as the "land of the free", incarcerates more of it's citizens than even a much more totalitarian & oppressed nation like China.
