  • I like that you have the instructional videos from CSS up as you do this. Haha. Good videos thought, and CSS is my favorite place to buy Saiga parts. Also I LOVE the Saiga. Part because it's a true Russian rifle and by Izmash to boot, and I'm a nerd about that stuff. Also my Saiga 7.62 was my first gun 6 years ago. ( I was 14 then) haha.

  • Great Job. Glad to see I am not the only one that have things go wrong when trying to fix or modify or repair .Love your honesty .

    Hammerham

  • "Where's my freakin hammer" haha...I love it. Can I get that on a tee shirt PLEASE! Great video Fred.

  • Fred, Thank you so much for taking all the time and extra effort to film this conversion. I know it made it much more difficult, but it was a great learning experience for me, and I'm sure it was for many others. Have you shot it yet? How's it shoot?

  • @URBANAMERICANTAC I'm glad you are finding this worth it, I'd hate to think I'm wasting my time. Merry Christmas my friend.

  • And people wan't to take them away from us. Its not about fighting people, or hurting people. Its about making fond memories, about being able to have something that is useful, something that will last a lifetime, and being able to pass those memories down the line. I saw the look, and joy you expressed in the building of that. Cheers enjoy your not Dr.Pepper.

  • @efrol1 Thank you so much!!!

  • Do you do online gaming? Only reason I ask is because you have a gaming mouse. Sweet video!

  • @MrWallaberry Sorry, I don't game much but I love the mouse!!!

  • we just modified the original trigger guard for the 5.45 i did. shoot me a pm is u have any questions

  • Great work! Can it take regular capacity mags?

  • @Mrcaffinebean Looks like it will.

  • @Mrcaffinebean They will, but some require you to take off some of the metal on the mag catch. It's simple. If you're lucky, it'll just fit, but if not, it takes 3 minutes to do.

  • @Mrcaffinebean Not until I install the bullet guide sometime in the future.

  • @InspectorSnatch Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!

  • nice job Fred looks great

  • @samba379 Thank you so very much!

  • Young, man that better be Dr.Pepper in that cup.

  • @isamtator Nope :)

  • @fredhart I tried to watch this video but every time I got to the placing of the last screw of the trigger guard, I got cut off and it would not continue, and so I am trying to watch it again . I don't have one of those guns, but I'm currently putting myself through, gunsmith courses through Penn and Foster.

  • Great job Fred.If I ever decide to do this,I'll know where to go for the videos.Thumbs up bro!!!

  • @ammohead73 Thank you very much my friend!!!

  • it looks really good are you going to do the front end later on and add a muzzle break or leave it the way it is? great job and hope you enjoy shooting it!

  • @mark16443 I don't think I will be putting a muzzle break on it anytime soon. My next project will be installing the bullet guide so I can use standard AK mags.

  • excellent job Fred. That turned out awesome.

  • @NIKON777 Thank you so much, that means a lot to me coming from you!!!
