Pretty obvious this was at an airshow of some type. Once he got off the ground, he held altitude and built up airspeed specifically so he could climb at a strong angle of attack. Not full of passengers I'm sure.

You can see this every day at Boeing First Flight at Renton Airport, not to slam the 319, good looking bird, but it is really just a copy of the 737. You want to see some flying, look at the aileron roll of the 707. That's workmanship.
@2129261184 Why? 1, If you look at the airplane it is nearly identical to the B737. or 2, are you refering to the B707 roll? Look it up on YouTube.3, As for the taikeoff, the construction and First Flight facilities are in Renton Washington. If they take off to the north they fly right over Lake Washington and do a hard bank to the right. If they take off to the south they fly right over the city and have to do a hard bank to the left. So far, nothing of what I said was incorrect.
@BillWa Saying the A319 is a copy of the 737 because they are "similar", which by the way, they are not, is just incredibly stupid. You clearly have no idea of what is involved when engineering a plane, no idea of how different the A320 family is from the 737 family, and you also completly disregard Airbus as a engineering company with such statment.
@2129261184 I will tell the people I know at Boeing that I don't know what is involved with making an airplane. Let's see, should I talk to my friends in Engineering, Oh, wait, maybe all the people I know in manufacturing, should I go to the guys in Everett, or maybe Renton. Hey, how about those guys I went to drafting class that work for Boeing St. Louis. Yeah, you're right, I know nothing about building an aircraft, other than having built almost a hundred of them.
I have no doubt that the first part of take-off is real... But at the second that it pulls the hard climb/bank to the end of the video, it looks like it is CG. I mean.. Sure there are large passenger planes can pull and bank... But it looks like not only does the plane pull up, and then starts banking, but at the same time it is speeding up and not making anymore noise.. So I'm going to have to throw the "BULL$H!T Flag" on this video.
I don't think that kind of flying would be approved in the United States or by the manufacturer of the aircraft. While the structural integrity of Airbus products is without question (note the A-319 that Captain Sullenburger put down on the Hudson), "pushing the envelope" with an aircraft of this type and at such a low altitude only demonstrates irresponsible piloting.
the pilot was probably like, where the FUCK IS THE STICK!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! LOL uh ohhhh there it is, pulls back, OHHHH SHITT >__< lololol, this is great :D
Would loved to have heard the Flight Attendant pre-flight speech on that one. "if you would direct your attention to the seat pouch on front of you, there is a vomit bag and a depends adult diaper...." lol! Who wants to bet he put it into a slip on final and power slid the landing? LMAO!!!
does anyone else not notice how the "plane" is infront of all the parked light aicraft? the scale is all wrong im damm sure thats a r/c model, a huge one at that.

If it is within the stallminima the computers will let the airplane do this. Basically he gains such an amount of speed and lift due to the ground effect that the computers cannot hold him down. He has to climb at that rate to "lose"the speed and that is what the computers want. To climb at a described rate + speed.
Basically the climb is exactly what the computers want at that particulair moment
I dont believe thats true. In a fly by wire system all the control inputs from the pilots are sent to flight control computers which decide how much movement to make the actuators drive. In a mechanical system the control inputs are fed directly to the flight controls via bell cranks and torque tubes hence the pilot will always have full control over the aircraft unlike in a fly by wire.

Yeah, just rewatched it now and I agree. I know airliners are built do take these loadings, else the wings would fall off as soon as it hits some heavy turbulence. Also can see the end of the runway just in corner of a frame with the GA aircraft, and it is behind them. so its a full size airbus.
Tbh im suprised all the computers let the pilot do that, after all airbus is fly by wire, and in the end the pilot has no control over the plane its all the computer.

@niksonov you can turn them off and have a more traditional jet response from pilot input.
mikel1982 4 months ago
@mikel1982
I dont believe thats true. In a fly by wire system all the control inputs from the pilots are sent to flight control computers which decide how much movement to make the actuators drive. In a mechanical system the control inputs are fed directly to the flight controls via bell cranks and torque tubes hence the pilot will always have full control over the aircraft unlike in a fly by wire.
niksonov 4 months ago
@niksonov I meant that when you turn the primaries off, they give a more traditional response since a lot of protections and augmented controls are no longer active. I.e. traditional open loop gain based surface position commands, rather than commanding more esoteric control parameters like flight path, sideslip and reference speed.
mikel1982 4 months ago
@mikel1982
Ah I see what you mean, you turn SAS off basically ;). I agree you can turn that off and have almost vanilla flight control, but at the end of the day the flight computers still have final say with the actuator drive signals. All you need is more human error with programming and data input on top of all the things that can already go wrong in Aviation.
