  • I did this once and forgot to put the fuel cap back on after fueling. Dumped almost 100 gallons fuel into wood chain.

  • In Scandinavia, we side dump the bed on the truck and pulp. Check it on one

    of my favorites.

    Cheers Haustan

  • pretty sure its kamloops domtar pulp mill we took a bunch of there scrap

  • I've hauled for Arrow for 3 years now, used to haul for DCT, better pay than any other haulers in the southern interior, (drivers at DCT had to take a roll back while the company and L/O's didn't) way better benefits than dct and we actually a have a union......."worse in the business"?!?.....I bet you're still working for Arrow and if not you wish you were!

  • is this in kamloops bc? sure looks like it my brother in law used to pull in there for arrow and my dad was on the crew that built that mill.

I remembe when I was a kid i thought arrow trucks must be hauling arrow choclate bars. thenwhen someone told me they hauled chips it realy screwed me up I couldn't understand why a choclate bar company was hauling potatoe chips. Funny how a 7 year old thinks

  • Hmm, that's kind of different. Usually when they're unloading out in Langley or whatever, they keep the tractors hooked up.

Nice looking rig though. Expecially for a company unit.

  • we used to use similar whole truck tippers for grain at terminals in Illinois. Now everyone uses hopper bottom trailers, or dump trailers, sometimes walking floor. I can't believe it wouldn't be more efficient to use hopper bottoms or dump trailers if possible.

  • do they only do chip, fert, anythig bulk? Why not use trailer with walking floor rather than that tipping jig?

  • It's called a Dumper. Super B's haul a substantial amount more than the walking floors. There's also a live floor at the bottom of the pit that feeds a large blower system that piles the chips instead of using a Cat to push the piles. Most new dumpers all have drive thru capabilty and there is no need to split the units up. The mill hasn't updated to the new technology, there expensive. It only takes about 7 minutes to dump a fully loaded Super B on a full sized dumper.

  • kinda sucks havin' to split the trains!

  • Very shitty company, some real fuckin idiots running the show.

  • cool

  • Do you meen the old "hippo" with dule steer axels? That would be before my time. Arrow is not going to be in business with the way they treat the drivers, it has really gone down hill!

  • arrow is basically the worst outfit in the business...good place to learn but if you have any self respect as a driver stay away.the old cab overs were called whales as well

  • Very cool. Didnt know arrow was still in buisness. Got any freightliner cabover truck and trailer photos
