Coldplay was the first band that i heard i am fan of this band and i like his music. I had 14 years but now i am 18 a friend gave to me a disc of radiohead that was The bends and i like it I started to listen his music and I LOVE IT! I like the music of these masters

I love them both equally. A rare occurrence, I know. They make me feel...yeah, well. I don't know that there are words for it. The music moves me. That's all that matters.

@IvyNirvana Muse have their very obvious influences from Radiohead notably from Just and The Bends and I kinda think Matt ends up trying to sound like Thom a lot of times...I'll admit Parachutes did sound a lot like OK Computer and The Bends but they eventually did find their own style also Coldplay are mostly Alternative Rock with the occasional post Brit-pop moments...

Btw Radiohead are freakin' beyond belief awesome and are incomparable to any band now or in the future

Well let's see, Radiohead have made 4 perfect albums (Bends, OKC, Kid A, In Rainbows), and 2 brilliant ones (Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief). Coldplay have made 3 decent albums and a flawed one (X&Y). The progression through Radiohead's album catalogue never gets old or repetitive; their latest albums always feel fresh and groundbreaking, like they're the next best thing. Every album they've done is a different adventure. I cannot say I feel the same way about Coldplay's discography.

@Cheetah1251 First of all, I actually researched it. Muse is just a huge influence but never really ripped off. Still Radiohead is miles better. Coldplay ripped off High and Dry to the Parachutes album. Listen to Radiohead's High and Dry and listen to parachutes. Muse IS a pop rock/alternative band.Coldplay is poppish rock. Radiohead is more alternative/art rock/experimental/electronic. And pop thing isn't bad. The Beatles were pop rock though they were legends of music.

I listened to High & Dry, then compared it to a few songs from the Parachutes album. They sound nothing alike. And I don't think Muse, Coldplay or the Beatles are pop-ish at all. If you compare A Hard Day's Night to a Britney Spears song they sound nothing alike.

Hard Day's Night is poppy, it's repetitive, like any other pop song. A Hard Day's Night is still a great tune nonetheless.

Both bands are awesome and I am a huge Coldplay fan. But here is the fact: Coldplay will never be as good as Radiohead and that's for sure. I personally prefer Coldplay's music but there is no point comparing their music. What I am talking about is contribution of Radiohead to music, Coldplay is not old enough to handle Radiohead.

I've been listening to Coldplay longer then I have Radiohead so I have more respect for them. For me to compare who's better and say one is better then the other would be a lie. There may be more behind Radiohead's lyrics in meaning but Coldplay had brought tears to my eyes multiple times.

The scientist is a old song. I realize their lyrics dosen' make sense and they have been copying melodies and tone from Radiohead and U2.

I thought their last album would change everything but it fail terribly. I'm glad that the critics don't buy Coldplay as a serious band. However, the fans will still buy their album because they "think" it's music. Hell, they don't know what music is.

I like both if 'em but I think my medal goes to coldplay :) I dunno, someone say that they're simple, copycats and all that stuff, but I really don't think so. Their songs have very good meanings.
