Glad that Eric and Donald are still around. It's kind of sad to see them play such small venues, but they have great talent and will power to boot. No B.O.C. ditty is a slouch in my book. I hope to see them again soon. B.O.C. ROCKS!!!
bass tempo sounds pretty close to studio version to me. Just slightly quicker. I've seen many shows by many bands that play songs at a slightly quicker tempo to meet time constraints. It always pisses me off. The studio version is just over seven minutes long. This one is just shy of nine. The tempo excelaration at the end was probably planned,
@brianbharris815 actually dumbass both the drummer and bass player are responsible for this...the bass pplayer has traditionally been responsible for keping the drummmer on track since it was always hardest for the drummer to hear the monitors, but he could always feel the bass.
@Caroliner9r First off, your name is not LFransson, it's Caroliner hillbilly 9r. You must be some middle aged bass player who in your delusional waking state believes that you have actually played live in a band. You contradict yourself within your own answer. You proclaim two people control one function simultaneously. Then you claim the bass player controls tempo due to the bottom end vibration from a forward placed amp. How many companies make bass machines? You sir, are an idiot.
I'm glad they're still playing these songs, for the sake of the songs, but there's something magic about that classic lineup. That many great artists/writers in one room is bound to be explosive.
I saw them in the 70's and 80's and while they are still a good band, they were something really special back then. It's hard for me to see them now to be honest, playing the Garlic Festival or the Asparagas Festival, it kills me. They have bills to pay and I get it. I was there at the Los Angeles Forum in 1978 when UFO and the British Lions opened up. There for the LA Sports Arena show when Pat Travers opened. Perkins Palace in Pasadena as the Soft White Underbelly. Things change, I'm older too
If they're getting a decent cut of ASCAP/BMI performance royalties on all their hit songs that are being played everywhere to this day, then they're just doing all of this for fun. It's a shame if they're not, because it would have to be a gazillion bucks.
@flyingvbeast You're a lucky Guy!! You got to see them when,i would have preferred to see them. And you got to see Schenker with UFO.Like i said, lucky guy.Keep Rockin,Steve From Boston
Rudy Sarzo is a bad ass on the bass! Saw BOC a month later in Milwaukee at Harley Davidson's 105th Celebration and they rocked the place. Rudy was in a league of his own with some killer solo licks!
@MrDefectiveReasoning he was never an "official" member of Journey, just a hired gun for the Raised On radio album and tour. No offense, but I'd say most people know who he is from American idol and not the later declining stages of Journey.
This song is one of my fav's. BOC !!

Could the bass player please rush the tempo a little more? He didn't quite manage to completely run away with it.

@LFransson Agreed, Rudy's not fit for BOC in my opinion. He's also why the setlist are so boring. I wish Danny Miranda or Joe Bouchard came back.

Bring back the Bouchard brothers! Bring back Allan! This ain't BOC!!!
