  • I took this shit and i havnt slept its 5:00 in the morning wtf

  • I take Mirapex and it seems to help a little bit but i have to take triple the prescribed amount. RLS sucks, it feels like someone is tickling you and there is nothing you can do, your legs just want to get away from the sensation or run. On a lighter note? that guy at the end of this video sounds like STIMPY :-)

  • So far I haven't gotten much relief with Requip and I take 0:25 mg five times a day--I have severe RLS and symptoms during the day. I would rather have pain than RLS

  • @ralph0226

Sorry for typos in previous post. I am severely sleep deprived right now, after not sleeping for 4 nights in a row, because I cannot lay down.

  • @sammie416 are you feeling better now Sammie? Please see a sleep specialist. Also, until you hit on the right medication, sleeping with an electronic back messager under your legs provides "movement" so you don't have to walk around.

It really does help until until you get the right medication. Best of luck to you:)

  • @ralph0226

The RLS Foundation paut pout a public statement aginst this video, and we had a letter writing campaign to Consumer Reports. Raise AWARENESS.

  • ... iam 12 and i some times am dize when i stand up and fell slepey

  • @rountree5

Have you told your parents this?

  • if u already suffer from "rls" then detoxing from opiates is gonna be hella fun 4 u : )

  • I totally agree- ontheroof99. Parkinson's drugs did not d a thing for me, except make me sick and sleepy. I lost a lot of weight ob Requip, which my idiot neuro insisted that I take. I said, Well I will give it more time. Nope. Permax was taken off the market-did not work. Requip and Mirapex made me violently ill, to the tune of losing over 30 lbs! so , they are not for everyone. This video should be burned. What were they thinking when they picked this woman for the video?? bad mistake.

  • Magnesium Glycinate is the Natural Cure for RLS it has helped my out Tremendously!

  • Yes, actually a few celebrities have it.

Jon Stewart of the Daily Show does for sure, and I am not talking about his little video on Comedy Central. Sometimes humor comes out of real life.

But, there is nothing funny about RLS. I have been researching it for 12 years, and manage many support groups for it. And, I am sorry to inform you guys that there are hno hypochondriacs in my groups that total over 2,000 people. FYI

  • u have been reseaching RLS 4 12 years?!!!! sounds like fun

  • So are mental disorders. Requip was developed for Parkinson;s Disease at first. NOT A PLACEBO AT ALL. Look it up!

  • Hi, sards!'

I see you found this idiotic video! It pops up every once in awhile. Don't you just want to smack that smile right off her face??? I have for a couple of years now!

  • Me Too!! I agree with you 100%. I take 4 mg of a generic form of requip daily. It does have side effects such as nausea when you first start taking it. It also gives me a slight sedated feeling in my head. I do have a severe case of RLS and have had since I was a child. Requip does help but is definitely is not the cure-all. I would love to have an alternative. This is the only drug I take and I would like to learn of other potential aides. Oh...and the girl is an idiot !

  • It's good to educate people about this since most doctors don't; however, RLS is a very life altering condition and these commentator seems to be making light of it.

  • I probably dont have it, but it really seems i do. Everytime i sit down, or try to sleep, i have to move my legs. Once i walk a little its fine, but it really bothers me.

  • @KkF00

YOU ARE describing RLS perfectly, so you probably DO have it. IMHO

  • This video pissed me off. RLS is weird and there is no word to adequately describe it. Only people with RLS can understand.

  • RLS sucks! I have it and it is true. Late at night I have to move my legs or feet or else it starts to make a burning sensation. Only occurs during rest.

  • shiiiiiiiiiiit, all u need is some weed :). lol but no rlly i feel srry for those 3% of u who suffer. i agree about the falling asleep while driving, the side effects are a bit weird... i hope it wont cause rape...

  • I have sympathy for those who really suffer from this. I take medication for very real diseases too. She isn't making fun of the condition or saying it's made up. she's making fun of the pharmaceutical companies.

  • They market directly to the public a drug to treat a very rare disease. They won't recoup the money spent on marketing unless they can sell to people who are fine. If you have RLS you've probably gone to the doctor already, you don't need a tv ad to tell you what you already knew.

  • My goodness she's pretty.

  • Some of the side effects sound nice. Move over Viagra.

  • this bitch is ignorant !! many people have this disease and think that they are hallucinating !! stop making fun of it !!

  • I have RLS and it has nothing to do with seeing ads. Anyway, I don't take meds but am trying vitamins. Magnesium and vitamin B seems to be helping. Smoking a little pot works extremely well but I reserve that for emergencies only since I don't like being buzzed.

  • This is no joke. It's about 2:10 am and I am up with the feeling like there are ants crawling up and down my legs INSIDE MY BONES. And now that it's colder out, it is even worse.

  • Life can be hard. Sometimes you feel sad or distracted or anxious. Or maybe you feel a compelling urge to move your legs. But does that mean you are sick? Does it mean you need medication?

Maybe, maybe not. For some people, symptoms are severe enough to be disabling. But for many others with milder problems, these symptoms are just the transient experiences of everyday life. Helping sick people get treatment is a good thing. Convincing healthy people that they are sick is not.

  • RLS is very real. It is not the "transient experiences of life" at all! Believe me, if you have RLS you would know it and you would not beed a TV ad to tell you. We ARE smarter than that! RLS was named in the 40's, looooong before the TV ads. It was first described in 1672! I am qite sure there were no drug ads back then with the worst spokeswoman ever in them! The RLS Foundation is not fond of this woman or Consumer's Reports for this little gem.

  • @bigdaddyevil666

NO ONE is trying to convince people that they are sick. However RLS causes severe sleep deprivation, and you can never get that sleep back. PPL with sleep disorders are at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart problems. Those are certainly REAL.

  • Have you tried anything to stop your face from screwing up like that when you talk unintelligibly?

  • Thank you, i take several disserant narcotic meds just to hardly function, I basicly need a new spine and skull, then , i would be much better. i have severe nerve damage from a severe head injurie that crushed my skull and have to have more spine surgeries, my whole body is on fire ans have to wear sunglasses in the house as soon as the sun comes in due to my eyes along with everything else is being crushed, burned and torn apart, imy legs from nerve damage shake . good luck 75.

  • Yeah, that's right, the pharmaceutical companies somehow managed to make my right leg and right arm feel like electricity was flowing through them... two years before I saw a Requip commercial. And, even though I've never taken Requip, they've somehow made it slowly progress for the three years since. I guess they figure if they keep making me worse, sooner or later I'll give in and try their drug.

    Not.

The stark ignorance of this PSA is shameful.

  • Youre an idiot.

  • @AikenGhoti

I totally agree. I had never seen a Requip ad 14 yrs ago when I found out what RLS is.

NO ONE had to convince me that my legs were full of electricity and jumping around.

  • @sammie416 me too. It took me 7 years before I was diagnosed and by dumb luck placed on Tegretol for seizures, which was a miracle for my RLS

  • andre, it's easy to balk at a problem you do not have. If only you could (try) and sleep for a week in my shoes with RLS. Requip and Mirapex are miracle drugs which helps those with RLS. Show me any drug that has no side effects and I'll show you Heaven. I take Mirapex which is similar to Requip and I don't have any side effects. Please research before typing. Thank you.

  • Some PSA announcement..

Nice HIT JOB, prissy little snot. There's a company who designed a boot/device people can wear to feel what RLS can be like. Why don't you do a REAL PSA and videotape your sweet little prissy self strapping it on and NOT taking it off for 24 hours.

Now THAT is irony I can laugh at.

  • are you happy? sad? pissed? horny? cold? hot? depressed? bored? hungry? tired? sleepy? awake? can't sleep? watch football? play xbox? like wearing perfume? go on youtube? like indie movies? stole some french fries when you were seven at the lunch line?

well idiox is the drug for you

see a doctor (like the guy in our commercial) if you have a head ache, if you have diarrhea, if your dead or if you have an erection lasting more than 4 hours

  • nice feet

  • It's called marketing you IDIOT cunt!

  • Nice Vid ---- Just that girl (the host) I dunno She kinda pisst me OFFFFFFF...

  • Excellent.

Mayo Health Clinic has an excellent review of RLS.Also the RLS Foundation has an excellent website.

  • also symptons go away with movements

  • Symptoms do not always go away with movement. severe RLS is helped only seconds at a time by moving around.

  • well....I've had to live with this damn "RLS" for as long as I can remember. I started taking trequip and so far so good. I'll let you know if I go to Vegas and live it up!

  • 3% sounds like an over-estimate. That's a huge chunk of the population. Even 0.03 percent is enough. I have RLS and use Bi-Sifrol and Mirapex successfully.

  • so those are good drugs for it , cuz I have restless leg syndrome 24/7 at rest , and not only is the pain in my legs but it radiates in my torso like lungs and stomach and can drive you insane

  • Yep.....I have it going up my back and shoulders too. I just started requip. So far so good.

  • i have the symptoms in the stomach to and feet the worst , but also i have uncontrollable movements like seen in parkinsons , but docter said its not parkinsons , just related because I can still move good, Im gonna get requip or mirapex , right now im on valium and valium can help a bit , try it out.

  • Glad to see Consumer Reports doing something. Because after their reviews and specifications on computers, digital cameras, stereo equipment and statements about technology in general (like the claims about CD copying) i think it's best that they stick to pharmaceutical adbusting. :-)

  • this host is smart AND hot! win-win

  • Anything to sell a drug. That why I buy mine from Pedro.

  • who cares about her lisp, she looks good and sounds cute.

  • Great video!!!

  • I think Bruce Lee had that!!!

  • The lisp is cute. Tell you what, sweety--I have a fever. And the only prescription is more lisp!
