ok, I have a couple of chips (which are a lot smaller than that, they have a depths of 0.5mm to 1mm but are really bugging me because they are visable) on my electric guitar body, It is on a wooden varnished bit at the side of the body, I was wondering is it easy to get it prepared and if so how much would it cost to repair?
@un1ntend3d are they chips or dents? If they are dents, they can likely be steamed out. I can send you info on that, just takes some patience. If they are truly chipped, and you don't have the missing pieces to glue back in and refinish, then its a little harder. Is your guitar clear coated? You might be able to do a drop-fill with a lacquer stick and buff down if so. All this is inexpensive if you can do it yourself. thanks!
@ayavner thanks alot for the information, it is much appreciated :) I think there is one chip and one dent lol :), I dont think the wood has been damaged as I dont think the chips went that far, I think there is some sort of coating over the wood, I dont know if that is a clear coating or not and im not sure if that makes much sense. I'm glad to know that it is possible to repair and I can hopefully have it seen to as it bugs me. Thabks for replying and i hope your finger is alright now :)
