  • Looks a little slow on the show info..

  • nice review, i just got mine hooked up with my cable company and its pretty sick! beats the dvr they have by far!..

  • I live in Brazil and HDTV is kind of a recent thing here, and I dont really have an option to keep my recordings anywhere other than in the cable company´s set-top box hard drive. I wanted to buy a Tivo recorder while Im in the US just to be able to copy my recordings to an external HDD and then transfer it to my PC.

Can anyone tell me if that´s viable?

  • @sdesai2129 he is meant to you fucking dumb-ass its a fucking review he is meant explain how it works by TALKING.

    DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW.

  • @riddler3121 LOL. Nicely put.

  • Comment removed

  • do i need internet connection? does it have built in wifi? can i use a phone line? can i connect the tivo to my xbox 360 bt ethernet cable?

  • Nice video but you talk too much

  • @sdesai2129 There's a mute button you know. LOL.

  • My cable provider got the box for free, all we had to do was pay extra for a better internet speed and a monthly feel.

  • do u need cable or direct tv service to use this? and also does it have wi fi?

  • @oaxaca911 you need cable or direct tv to use it and also i don't think it come with wifi that is what that thing he held up with do.

  • what the hell is a cable card my tv has a port that says cable card but what is it?, by the whay i live in australia

  • @coconuts739158426 from what I read it is for it to unscramble your digital cable

  • @coconuts739158426

A cable card takes the place of the additional cable box from your cable company here in the usa.

Some cable cards also allow your tv to receive more than one channel at a time or should i say, record more than one channel at a time.

  • Hi, this nis of the topic but does any one know how to remove subtitles...i have no idea what i have done but they are there every time i turn on the tv. I cannot find information anywhere to help me out...ta

  • adding to that, tivo desktop doesn't require the plus to transfer shows to and from pc. It's harder to transfer shows originating on the pc, but shows that were recorded on the tivo can be transferred back and forth with ease. a few supported video formats can be drag/dropped into the "my tivo videos" folder and will show up on the tivo browsing. The desktop plus just makes it easier to do this, gives you more web video choices, and (with quicktime) can serve HD images, not just 720p images.

  • the true home theater appliances don't have bright displays on the front of them that take away from the viewing experience. For that matter, there is a code you can give all tivos that puts a clock on screen when you are watching a show and pause/ff/rw/etc.

  • with that cable card do you still get 2 tuners? Which cable company do you have?

  • @tomekcz20022 multi-stream cards are only limited by the number of decoders in the system they are inserted in. There's a new device for pcs that takes one card but can record 4 shows at once.

  • clock? don't you have enough clocks in your house? i know that i do! lol.

  • you posters are some true dumbasses. if you have no interest why put stupid comments up?

  • Nice review, I caint see myself buying a tivo-- ill jus deal with the cable hd dvr box .

  • What does "BWOne" mean?

  • TiVo very american :P
