The Rangers organization makes the most revenue out of any U.S team by a fair margin, and brings in the third highest in the league. People are stupid in general, and more fans means more stupid people. If the Devils had just as many fans as the Rangers, I'm sure the same could be said for the amount of stupid fans they have. I'm not saying this to offend the Devils amount of fans, more to defend the Rangers

@kewlnsimpguy Sorry, just wanted to add this onto my post, ran out of characters. Most people (no matter what rivalry) come off as idiots because of blind hates for players. It is one thing to hate a player because of what he does on the ice, but some of the blind hate that fans have for rival teams player's is just plain out idiotic. I can definitely see where this makes other teams fan's look more stupid then they actually are.

Unfortunately landing a big player like Kovalchuk normally requires giving a player you'd cringe at. If the Rangers were to obtain Kovalchuk that player would likely be Marc Staal. I would offer this years first round pick, Marc Staal, and probably Sanguinetti. We really should not trade many if not any of our top offensive prospects because we need them desperately. If anything just Keep Grachev! Kovalchuk would eventually need someone else who could friggin score!

Datsuk is having horrible playoff though. Might be hurt. The power of Ovechkin and Kovalchuk are unmatched is most offensive areas. Kovalchuk and Ovechkin both play for teams that are not nearly as talented as the Wings. They both play D but everyone hates them because they are not from this side of the pond. Hopefully the Rangers can land Kovalchuk by getting rid of some of the high paid garbage on the team. I am a die hard Rangers fan who goes to about 30 home games a year and 10 road games.
