  • How they do this is a work of art!

  • My favorite are the parrots arguing over the Jackson Pollock. I know a couple who match them exactly.

  • Thumbs up if you're watching this for class

  • God I love the gorilla. I know someone just like this x

  • Funny as hell, lol.

  • lawl Bob Ross! XD

  • The sound is messed up as it's not in sync with the video there is a delay

  • Why is everyone saying the sounds messed up? It sounds fine to me

  • @haniflawson

Maybe it sounds fine because it's already been fixed. Those things were said 2 years ago.

  • Magic and funny!

  • Better sound-to-animation-sync with this same video is at youtube user "kristinarose22" ... you know, more than half the humor in Aardman animation is the sync ie, animation to the inflection of the voices. Sorry to rain on your 1,064 'likes' but it is simply a chore to watch this great humor with such a bad sync.

  • These are really great.

  • 4:14 kills me every time.

  • Sounds off

  • 43 people don't think this is art.

  • This is just great! Love it! Thanks :0) Hehehehe :0)

  • I wanna meet the guy they got for that gorilla.

  • the lil dance the bee does

  • Why oh why oh why was this show canceled so fast? TV doesn't like original ideas.

  • @mjcfleury *The masses don't like original ideas :/

    its sad, really

  • My art history teacher showed us this

  • Great! Well done.

  • LMAO my art professor used this as our first hw assignment. what is art? love it

  • absolutely in love with the seastar at 5:10

  • absolutely in love with the seastar at 5:10

  • That dancing crab that suddenly appeared in front of the lobsters was really amusing. XD

  • thas a monkay duude

  • check the dirty bumblebee!!!! hehe

  • Gorillas can paint! And so can elephants!

  • I like impressionism in general, like I can do chicken sounds sometimes, or duck noises

  • I never knew you guys had a version of this in the USA, nice one.

  • @TheYearTwentyTwenty It is animated by Aardman just the same.

  • nice goat

  • Aaaah, love the new england lobstahs

  • hahaha the gorilla is impersonating Bob Ross! xD hilarious hahaha^^

    i love this show

  • I agree with the gorilla. Even a stick figure is art. Art is an extension of the artist nothing more, nothing less.

  • omg dolphin art...... so girly and overdone!!

  • Very funny! Wish it didn't have penis etc... in it. Then I could show it to my students. They would love it!

  • @meteachart I showed this to my High school beginning and intermediate art classes...you just have warn them or tell them that the word "penis" is a medical term and we shouldn't get all giggly about it. Prep them. This is too good to pass up!

  • whaaa---?? The people bashing this are insane. It's beautiful.

  • Thank you Olga and Kadri for posting this. I love it. So funny.

  • Maybe I'm just not accustomed to British humor, but I find this video kind of wearying and just simply too long, though the print-making dog does provide some welcomed (and needed) freshness. The concept isn't bad, i.e., having earthy animals struggling to come up with a working definition of art (and arguably doing a better job than most of their human counterparts), but the execution isn't that great.

  • @writersblock26 It's actually American responses to the question "What is art?" The visual animals were added to personify the responses. So... there were no writers... British or otherwise.

  • @writersblock26 not sure if you realised but this isnt scripted. Aardman interview people on the street/ in the workplace and use the interviews to create characters. British humour is more about the concept and idea as opposed to non stop jokes/ canned laughter you see in a lot (not all but a lot) of American comedy.

  • is that Jillette Penn from Penn & Teller voicing the Ape? im sure it is!

  • @Biinks216 That's what I thought too!

  • good but the uk ones are WAY better!!!

  • god, people don't have to be so SENSITIVE!

sure, the british may have been the first to do this, but god forbid that ANY other country does their own version.

everyone is so quick to bash america, i bet that if it was france or china or any other country to have "copied" the brits, no one would have cared as much. leave america alone creature comforts is a good idea, i like it. it's clever, regardless what country started it. stop the arrogance and JUST enjoy cartoons for once.

  • @robbkatherine This was still made by aardman. Although it features americans, Its not american.

  • @robbkatherine Im English and I think Creature comforts USA is great. Its funny to see how Americans respond differently to the British, it gives Aardman some fresh ideas to play with therefore theres something fresh to watch. Its not entirely English comedy, and its not American comedy either. Its a perfect compromise. On that note however, 'The Office' USA isnt great lol

  • As an artist, this is brilliantly put together.

  • Aardman animations are the best. Nick Park brought us Wallace and Gromit, how dare anyone mock this work!

  • @veguntold also Aardman is making a sires on the Rabbids

  • Whoa, what a bunch of defensive Brits! Even though the American version wasn't as funny doesn't mean American's are always stealing British shows. In fact British television mostly sucks nowadays (the new Doctor Who is just laughable). It seems to me like American standards of murder mysteries (CSI, Law&Order) are being remade in Britain, and so many Brits watch a lot more American TV than Americans watch British TV. Why can't we all just get along and share what works from each other?

  • @Briavel1 the old doctor who was also shit my american friend,

the new doctor who is nicknamed " chav's in space" over here and it is total utter shit.

    love from england

  • @Briavel1 Because instead of just showing the original like we mostly do with theirs they have to remake them & they nearly always turn out really bad.. not that this is bad, I really like The Office US aswell but whatever. Skins(early), The Office, Being Human etc etc are all worthy enough to be shown somewhere on US tv imo but instead they're remade & originals shunned like they're not good enough.. not that it particularly bothers me lol.

  • @LetsGoFcukingMental You have a point. I think Americans remake everything because there are so many studios with so much money wandering around looking for an excuse to produce ANYTHING that might become a successful show (this is the country that throws millions at crap like "Work It" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks"). Networks don't want to risk airing a show that might be considered too "foreign" so they just prefer to remake it. Unfortunately BBC shows are only shown on PBS, but I love PBS. :)

  • Trust the americans to take a program and take a shit all over it

  • @jamiecranton This was made by aardman. it remains a british animation.

  • thanks- my students will love it!

  • ok, not as good as the UK ones, but when that monkey spat the paint out I almost hurt myself laughing

  • Luv Nick Park

  • Omg, WTF!? ANOTHER British show re done by American tv!? Omg, how many shows do they take and ruin!? Jesus....

  • @MrValentine666 Noooo. It's still British with American voices for the characters. They're all American animals being interviewed for the British show.

  • cool, but i think the UK ones are better

  • oh dude i love the bird

  • fail. go watch the uk versions.

  • just search up the same title and there will be the same video in sync :D

  • Allowing for the synchi'ng problem it is clear this was recorded completely differently from in the UK. In the UK they tended to be couples (friends or married) or families, and the humour is their relationships. There is less of that in this american thing.

  • @rj1p

Well.. its american and they never do spontaneous stuff. You can hear in their voices that they were talking while knowing what this was going to be used for.. and they compensate for it by trying to sound casual. But end up being boring and lacking in authenticity. Brits are however alot more natural and witty.. and that was the whole point.

  • How did this get SOOO out of sync?? I favorited this at least a year ago, maybe 2, and it only started to loose sync towards the end. I just came back to it now to show it to a friend, and its so bad. :(

I guess I am going to have to see if I can find a better version somewhere else.

  • Even the wrong Sync is Art...:P...so is slow motion ...

  • RELOAD WITH CORRECT SYNC please!!!

  • Who cares if the mouths do not match the text?

It is a good look at a talk about art.

  • US version is cool too

  • Beau

  • I wonder wow holding your breath changes your background...

Its like if you look 1h to the windows logo your windows XP will update to windows Vista

  • It's exactly the same concept in both cases. You people are crazy. Maybe American speech just sounds more human than British. :)

  • US version of creature comforts just doesnt work.Overdone....just had to keep it simple..but creatures seem too humanised in their conversations.Overkill..and simply not funny

  • ...Yes could you Please fix the sound.... I love this video!

  • Sound is not synchonized - would be so great if somebody'd fix it ...

  • Hint

  • no no no no this is all wrong!!! and I'm not talking about the out of sync audio.. the creature comforts animals are all brits not yanks....

  • this is the one they did in the US, they're just branching out

  • This is great! But the sound is off...Please fix!!!

  • Open it in two windows. And mute one. So, so much better when voice meets face.

  • I love this! Please can someone fix the out of sync-ness?

  • why is this video out of sync now? it used to work + I'd like to share it... Fix?

  • I wanted to embed this in my blog but the sound is off track from the animation. It's way too distracting. Can you fix that?

  • Genius!

  • I have enjoyed showing this to my art classes for the past few years, but it is unwatchable with the sound out of sync; please fix soon!

  • ugly sound delay, can't watch it

  • was the moron in central park with the flags christo? hahahaha

  • i think this is aardmans best

  • freakin hilarious!

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • Aardman are the peak of expressive characters in claymation.

  • the bees are hilarious... I actually like the American kind.

  • couldn't watch more than 20 seconds with the sound out of sync, annoying as hell, get it fixed

  • Seems fixed now.

  • yeah, is better now, a lot better than before

  • Fuckin' sound!!

    Get it right.

  • art is part of us

  • I lost it at the bees lol.

  • art is folly

  • whats with the sound?

  • type in the lads in shades

  • This is such a great video that really defines why I both enjoy and do art! Can't wait to start getting paid after I graduate...

  • Funny! Love it when art makes fun of itself.

  • it dosent work with a american accent it only works with a british accent.

  • HA hahaha

  • The Bees rock!

  • Wait... that Gorilla sounds familiar...

  • that was SOOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • a camera, a beautiful woman and a sick man? you can see inside

  • Nick Park is a genius.

  • I loved this show. I like Nick Park's claymation shows.

  • Maybe Steve Harper should watch this.

DO NOT CUT FUNDING TO ART!

  • Love the goat!

  • I love it. (:

  • the bees :) also the lizard and the toucan.

  • aaaw..I looove that goat & duck pair..awesome!!

  • Oh my god,

the bird couple is the best!

  • This was a homework assignment for me and I still loved it. (:

  • This was such a well done and cute show. I love Aardman!

  • I love the starfish right after she says "picasso was a good painter..." @5:10

  • the goat sounds like joe walsh

  • What ever happened to this show on television!? I loved it...This episode is awesome!!

  • can somebody please put the clip about the mother and daughter hillbilly pigs please???

  • kole kole

  • lol the pigeons were soooo funny

  • i liked the beagle talking about the prints. that was really well placed.

  • I can imagine Deidara in this.

  • You said you saw a penis in it!

  • "US version is so much worse" ? Oh what a predictable kneejerk reaction.

  • For an artist like me this is hilarious!!!

Very well done, specially when you can almost see different people in the creatures talking...

  • What yo you consider art?

  • didnt nick parks do this ? also wallace and grommit?

  • 666 ratings lol, im gonna change that

  • I think the reason that different versions are better to different people is because of the way you were raised. Everything that deals with comedy is different. Every aspect is different between the two countries.

  • this stuffs cools wheres it on? Im in Canada. Did these guys do Lifes a Zoo?

  • HILARIOUS!!

  • That's what I love about the US version is the comedy that comes out of putting specific interviews to different animals and almost visualizing the situation or what's being said.

The fact that they're actual interviews adds to the appeal in my opinion.

  • I think the reason that the US version is so much worse is because of the way they animate the mouths. I'm not saying that anything about the show is worse, just the accents. The way aardman animates mouths is perfectly fitting for brtish accent.

  • Then he should be able to practice with American accents, rather than just the Brittish/ English accent.

I think it's excellent no matter what language it's in.

  • dude he asks people from the public questions not makes the voices himself

  • the USA creature comforts are so funnyyyy/

  • it's just not the same as the english show...

  • this is the best

  • "lol" very funny... 5 stars :)

  • What program and I just have to say all animations are perfect

keep up the perfect work and your voice really match the emotion and the character GREAT JOB!!!!!!1

  • the goat cracked me up XD
