God this movie still gives me the chills... Try watching this at midnight and alone. I thought it was very believable. Like almost all horror movies though, I think there was a simle solution. Get holy water, bless the house, or if all else fails... sleep in a church. Weird but effective :p

Scary as hell when u watch it at home at like 2:00 in the morning! My friend was no help, she was under the covers, and that night two soda cans fell over by themselves, i screamed like i would on a roller coaster! But...it was the dog's leash...i wish sum boys were ther. I still can't sleep when i here noises downstairs (when its really the icemaker) I fear i mite be dragged down the hallway.

The dude was doing nothing but film all day in his house and the girl was a student. So it seems like their mommies and daddies pay for their bills and such. why are there 3 endings to this movie? There's the theater version when Katie throws Micah at the camera, the Cops- when the police come and accidentally kill her, and the Throat Slit- when Katie walks up to the camera and slits her throat. I've seen all three, and i like the theater version best.

The movie starts you off very slowly and builds in tension using basically one sound to represent the demon's presence and you pretty much sit in genuine fear the whole movie, not any of those cheap scares in other scary movies like "BAM! Oh it was just the cat..."

no. I've seen tons. The reason this movie was scary was because it all happens where we are our most vulnerable...in bed alseep, where you have no control over what happens. They can't run from it. The door wasn't scary, but getting dragged out of your own bed is scary as hell.

I really liked this movie.

I was just slightly disappointed that they didn't reveal a little more about why the paranormal was so interested in her but other than that I really enjoyed the realism in it. Their take on how creepily realistic the situation was is what made this movie so good and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
