I have started taking magnesium ox. 250 mg, calcium 400 mg and vitamin D, all 3 together in big tablets, after 2 days so far I have noticed my stools are bigger and softer. I would like to know if what I am taking is ok or should I take some other magnesium type instead.thanxs
If magnesium oxide doesn't give you diahrea then I would think it is okay, but I think you should get some magnesium citrate powder to try. And since you are taking Mg with calcium and vitamin d, I think you should probably drop the calcium tablets because you will end up giving yourself heart disease with the extra calcium-google "calcium heart". For healthy bones and heart add vitamin K to Magnesium because you are getting enough calcium if drinking milk, cheese, yogurt,.
Sorry that is vitamin K2 because vitamin k and k2 are a little different since k2 is manufactured by bacteria and is the ONE used or found by the research to Reduce heart disease and OSTEOPOROSIS. You appear to be concerned about your bones so Mg, K2, and D3 and be careful with adding calcium supplements because your chance of heart disease will be much higher with the added calcium since arterial blockage is calcium and cholesterol and other stuff.
@madmanatsea THANK YOU, today is the third day, my stools are as I said more and softer, so far no diahrea but today I got an awful headache and I think it is because of the magnesium tablets, by the way each table contains 250 mg mag ox. and 400 mg of calcium and also vitamin D so the 3 things together so I cant stop taking the calcium part. I dont drink much milk or yogurt, cheese I do eat.
Magnesium is actually good for migraines because it reduces blood pressure due to the more relaxed blood vessels. if you have optimal magnesium levels in your body, then you WILL NOT GET Cramps, fast heart rate or tachycardia, anxiety, depression, diabetes, osteoporosis.etc......If you are pregnant and have Eclampsia, then they will treat you with Magnesium sulfate in hospital. If you have heart attack, you may be treated with magnesium sulfate...stroke? GET Mg soon to be normal
any one taking any type of internal magnesium(pills, tablets, caps) Buy a Transdemal its best absorbed its applied on the skin and does wonders ;)
