I know it might seem the video quality sucks, but my take on it is, both at the beginning and the end the sound is synch'ed up. However, about 3/4rs the way into the song, the sound lags. She's trying to make it appear that she's right there in front of you, yet there's distance. Over distances, you could shout something, but it takes time to reach the person you're speaking to. It's just barely enough to be noticeable, so I see how that appears to be poor quality.

As china/love is fragile and delicate...and the "cracks that don't seem to show" are glossed over by the everyday in a relationship. Also, the geographical distance between New York and China, despite "the distance getting close"....the feelings are almost tangible, yet still just out of reach. Unless the wall can be overcome....

It wells me up every time, this song.

I have felt this song to my core recently as well. I've destroyed my marriage and now I'm alone. I don't think it can be saved, but while this very sad and haunting, its somehow comforting.
