Overdosing on pills can just leave you mentally retarded if you don't push your body far enough quickly enough. Best bet to kill yourself would be to throw yourself off of a tall bridge into a body of water. That way, even if your body doesn't explode on impact, your bones will be seriously broken/fractured and probably have internal injuries to boot. You'd drown pretty quickly that way, again, assuming that the initial impact doesn't kill you first.
