Not unless it says "powder foundation" on it. Typically, powder is used to set liquid or cream foundation, whether it's pressed or loose powder. However, there are mineral powder foundations (think Bare Minerals.) Pressed powders do tend to give more coverage than loose powders. When my skin isn't too bad, I'll usually apply concealer to undereye circles and acne scarring and top it with a pressed powder for really natural, more breathable coverage. Hope that helped =)

Hello! How is the jojoba oil working for you now? I have oily acne prone skin & am wondering if this would be good enough as my 'pre-wash' before my cleanser to get all my makeup off. I already have it in my cabinet :) The cleanse off oils are quite expensive, when I already have an expensive cleanser. Do you think it could cause any breakouts since it does emulsify like the cleanse off oils do that you mentioned. BTW, I'm oily and acne prone yet 31 :( Thanks!

@erinne23 I have also been told the same thing several times. It has something to do with the ph and it damages your hair over time. It also coats the hair with wax. I used to use it and love it, but I stopped using it after I heard that from different hair dressers. Maybe ask your stylist the next time you have your hair done. It would be worth checking into.

My hairdresser told me the same thing! She asked me what type of shampoo I used, and when I said Pantene she told me to change it because it leaves some oily residue or backup? She also said it cause knots in your hair, like it makes it snarly. Maybe different hairs work better with it...

@jmg194 Hi, pH for hair? No. But for the scalp yes. Small detail, but your hair can't feel anything except the burning sensation of styling tools. I've read the ingredients (and understand it) and I don't see any other ingredient more damaging than other shampoos on the market. Also, about the whole wax issue, there is no wax in Pantene. That's a myth. And too much silicone? It has the same amount of silicone as any other shampoo.

@Arallist youre 100% right on the hair not feeling anything, hair is DEAD protein. Pantene doesn't have a wax in it but it pulls out natural substances in your hair to the outer layer that get scraped away from brushing and leaves your hair damaged in the long run, but it does make your hair feel nice after washing, no doubt. :)
