You know, it sounds ridiculous when you hear him say "Avada Kedavra" out loud, but it's an interesting quirk of the Harry Potter universe. Basically, it means that whenever muggles do fake magic, they're yelling out something similar to the most evil curse that a wizard can cast. It's this wonderful dark irony that's part of the richness of the HP universe. But it works better when you're reading it in the book than seeing somebody say it out loud.

One of the most awesome things about Voldemort is that he makes almost everything look so easy for him. It's great how he has his skinny forearm held right up to the side of his head and his hand pointed straight forward with his long fingers wrapped around wand as his tongue sticks out between his teeth with a grin of evil.
