Usually we're trying trick shots because the network wants the animal to fall right on the spot. This leads to spining, etc. Good or bad, that's the way it is. - Bill
very classy video and this is coming from a vegetarian, nice shot and no suffering, you showed the animal respect and thats good karma on your soul now correct me if im wrong but if you took a piece a shit camera with no zoom lense and got extremely close wouldnt that prove you a better hunter than most without killing the chewy old bastard......just a thought,i know if i saw that on you tube id be impressed
It's always a great pleasure, watching good footage, when you have good narration. I like the sound effects, in a video..makes the story interesting..by the way which program do you use for editing...Great stuff
lol, these elk are nice, but just north of the Suffield air base are mostly 8x8's and a few 9x9's... Saw an 8x8 walking in a field just after starting out the first day of deer hunting... What a friggin' sight...
Hey Bill, My names David and i am a keen New Zealand hunter, I have hunted various game in NZ including A 9" chamois, 12" bull thar and a 12point royal red stag to my name. I also hunt pigs, geese, wallabies etc. Are you planning on coming back to NZ for another hunt soon?
I just can't wait 7 more days and I'm up in the mountains for a solid week camping out and hunting elk. and we eat every bite that comes off that guy look it up it's one of the best meats you can eat and while your at it if you want to hear a great elk song that i helped write type in elk bound should be the first video
I can tolerate hunting as long as you eat what you kill. What did you do with the bull after you killed it? Did you eat it? Or did you just take pictures and leave it to rot?
Yes guys nice bull, but typical american attitude you call that hard hunting. You can see 200 to 250 yards at any given time. Try elk hunting in the north west Canada where the average siting of elk is 30 yards.
Hey gr8 footage and well documented. Loved ur hunt and it looked like u guys enjoyed urselves too. My uncle harvested an 1100 lbs. 7x6 in 1996, and I was glad to be along for the hunt, and thanx for takin me along on urs. Congrats

Is this one of the elk in the hunt club??
xocheydogox 3 years ago
No, the Royal 7 x 7 is not at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club. The Idaho Elk (2006) and Wishbone Elk (2007) are at the Club.

We definitely ate the elk and it was delicious. We use all the animals that we harvest.
