  • wow those trumpets are absolutely terrible i could have sounded better by myself its call practice

  • It was the first pure orchestral piece to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Music chart.[6] From 1952 to 1961.

  • It is a bit slow - did you know this >>>>>

"Sleigh Ride" was not written as a Christmas piece, but as a work that describes a winter event. Anderson started the work during a heat wave in July 1946. He finished the work in February 1948. Lyrics, about a person who would like to ride in a sleigh on a winter's day with another person, were written by Mitchell Parish in 1950. The orchestral version was first recorded in 1949 by Arthur Fiedler and The Boston Pops Orchestra.

  • Slow, little out of tune and sound from the trumpets is rare...

  • SLAPSTICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

  • its okay for young players but style, intonation, tempo and bowings could improve by a lot. I do however give them props:) good job

  • Like if you are a trombone player and you don't remember why.

  • Trumpet ?

  • this is played soooooooooooooooooooo slow! :O my high school wind ensemble plays it at a much faster tempo

  • @cfcrayray55 yeah some people play it really fast

  • were playing this right now in band, i love the baritone sax part xD its fun to play

  • @Speedingblue95 Really? At band practice you said the song was boring

  • @Quazzaar shut up harlo >:1 i contradivt myself all the time and you know it

  • @Quazzaar some people think the slapstick has a funny sound

  • For me it's a nice tempo. No fast racing sleigh horses as ever. Yes, I can imagine being in that sleigh having a nice trip.

Well done! And very expressive for such young players!

  • as my director would say "any slower and you'll be going backwards"

  • Pick up the tempo!!!! and tune them!

  • Can somebody say tuning??!!

  • dude the tempo's pretty slow

  • WOW! Nice job :)

  • SOOO SLOW

  • Go Trombone <3

  • yayyy trumpet!!!!

  • @chreckit yea the tempo is in cut time... meaning really fast downn tempo would disrespect the authenticity of the piece being played

    Much respect.

    GO FLUTES AND PICCS!

The rythym perc lost tempo a few times.

  • @RocketRodder oh ya

That is what im gonna tell my band and im gonna see what they say

  • not bad for such a small S.O

  • GO VIOLINS!! :D

  • awesome except for some of the percussion which was a bit out of rhythm

  • YAY BASSOON!! :D

  • Wow! Great job guys!!!!!

  • I just finished telling someone the Boston Pops version of this was the only one worth hearing - you have shown me I was wrong!! What I just heard is superior to some commercial recordings of this song in the US.

You are more outstanding than mere words can say - you all have carreers waiting in the world's top orchestras if you wish to pursue them ! ! !

  • Yay!

  • Go AIO! ;-)
