I actually got to play this game at an anime convention. It was a bitch trying to get started because everything was in Japanese. But once I got playing, it was alot more fun than I expected. Sure it was hard as hell, but it just had that addictive quality to it, kinda like Battletoads or Megaman.
How come when I played on the original mode the bullets seem to go MUCH slower? Maybe it's because this video is small and I'm playing on a big screen. :|??
Oh I see! I have the version 1.0 DLC code but I have no clue how to activate it... I'm really itching to play it. I also want to buy the Black Label mode but it's pricey... And I'm nowhere NEAR 1cc'ing this game. :(

For those with modded 360s you can get the region-free dvd from torrents or newsgroups. it features both the arcade and a new 360 version. the latter having better graphics, but that's about it.
@teamgod (facepalm) Or, you know, you could just buy and import the game which is already region-free without having to involve piracy at all. You realize sales numbers are used to decide whether future releases will be region-free or not, especially outside Japan, let alone supporting CAVE for continuing to develop such amazing games? They are a small company and can really use every sale they can get. So please, just turn off the damned torrents, at least just this time.

Well at least the final boss has a realiable army. Not like Bowzer of the Mario series, or Robotnik from Sonic whose army doesn't really try 'til the final stages.
The thing about that is the first stage may not be to hard, but look up the true last boss, this so far has the record for hardest final boss in videogame history. The boss has two forms that are both INSANELY difficult and very few people have been able to take out both. This is way harder than those tabuu intense people (Which is EXTREMELY easy)
@CoolFuzzyGrooven However, that's only on the hardest difficulty, which most people, even people who have been playing other Cave shooters for some time, will take a serious jab at, so it's not a serious concern. My point was that this person was saying the first stage was really hard, but there are shooters with a lower bullet count that rely on other tactics to provide a challenge that on average can be just as great as those of "danmaku" shooters.

This is Version 1.0 where there is no rank on Original, notice the lack of Ultra mode.

You should play Truxton II or Flying Shark. Those have much more difficult first stages, and their bullet counts are nowhere near this game's.
