  • Ripped off from kraftwerk !

  • Fantastic track from 1981, way ahead of it's time.

  • Look I broadcast prank patrol I'm an official unique user and I'm watching this because I have a great taste in music!

  • Is There A Depeche Mode VEVO Im A VEVO So If There Is Not I Will Ask VEVO To Put It On?

  • FANTASTIC DM!

  • I've really enjoyed the video. Thank you!

  • Depeche mode is much better end justin bieber!!!

  • @3DSNintendogs Hey so did I while flicking through channels! Yay! Go Britain

  • :D :D :D :D

  • Hello. I'm write from Perú and is true that this song is very amazing and personally I love this song because I remenber the 80's exactly in 1985 when was to the school and the afternoons was soft. Good point and this song and other of the 80's are best that the songs of today.

  • This is a really good dance song. It's a shame people don't appreciate it.

  • I´m listen to rock/ metal but depeche mode is just great. one of the best bands ever in my opinion.

  • @Mariobizkit amen brother! same here :)

  • now why can't they play this at parties instead of hip hop and other crap dance music? this is better!

  • Awesome! Any joker that thinks today's music is even in the same league or close to the quality of the music from the 1980's is the biggest deluded fool walking this planet. I really sometimes wish I had a time machine to take me back.

  • IMO, the best ever track from one of the best ever synthpop bands.

I really don't understand why it isn't as famous or as 'viewed' as many of their other tracks.

    Perfect Dancepop.

    On a scale of 0 to 100 I'd give it 100

  • many people say that muse stole the melody for UNDISCLOSED DESIRES

  • @ffm20zaheri yea from enjoy the silence not from this. and hey depeche mode stole this sound from devo so music can never be completely original :D

  • @themessengerofmusic actually your right this sound just like the two albums devo released in the 80's , although I think Devo was more popular at the time, so it didn't really matter.

  • Wow

  • marcha , marcha, maaaarrrrrrrccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • there is not a pic of Vince Clarke the master of album Speak and Spell

  • Timeless Classic. This could have been written yesterday!

  • this is a testimony to what could be knocked out of a synth, these boys totally understand harmonys.

  • Excellent start!!!!!

  • The video is also brilliant! Thanks for posting!

  • Sounds so nice and the voice background i guess is from Vince Clark, doesn't it?

  • @MrJhonnyjulian No,it's from david gahan

  • @TheBigsou Thanks for tell me the truth :)

  • this song reminds me so much of Muse's Undisclosed Desires

  • @garra448 try playing this and Undisclosed Desires at the same time, it is AMAZING!!!

  • When I first heard about that clever chappy Venter(wot just cracked the genetic thingy)This was the tune than popped into my head.

I'de almost forgot what a great track it was.

  • @RandomVortex well, he didnt really create life, he took existing cells and modified them to create a new type of cell, so really all he did was create man made evolution, only the big guy upstairs can create life from scratch

  • @IndianaJoel93

Well, firstly I honestly do not see any reason to believe in"a man upstairs"who can"create life from scratch." I assume you are refering to one of the many God myths that are still(to this day)doing the rounds.

which one of these many God concepts is it that you are currently subscribing to?

Venter has indeed created new life(in a very real sense)and the repercussions of this momentous achievement are yet to be imagined and wondered at!

I hope you agree that the track is good.

  • @RandomVortex ok your a dogmatic athiest, I shall end this convo because I hate getting into arguments with like this, I believe what I believe and you believe what you believe, now lets get on with our lives, considering that only 2% of the population are athiests I keep running into you lot, I just believe that there has to be some kind of creator, and most physisists and mathematicians agree that the universe is too finely balanced to be random, and that is the theroy I identify with

  • @IndianaJoel93

I agree that we do not(and can not)agree!

I'm not sure where exactly you've been getting either your stats or general info on mathematicians & physicists from but I'm afraid it's rather obvious that you've been misinformed.

Dogmatic atheism sounds like a contradiction in terms.

I suppose this would also make me a dogmatic non-believer in both fairys and leprechauns.

I also agree that any"convo"between us would probably be pointless!(so at least we have found some common ground.)

  • @IndianaJoel93

Oh,we also both appear to like this Depeche Mode track which is perhaps more important than any theological differences we might have.

  • @RandomVortex I guess niether of us can be 100% sure until we die, as even though we think we are 100% sure, that is impossible unless we have undeniable proof, and I dont believe in fairies or leprechauns, but I do believe the universe has a creator, and there is actually more historical proof for jesus than most roman emporers, but I have been brought up to value the beliefs of others, so as long as you arent hurting anyone I have no problem with your beliefs, what other music do you like?

  • @IndianaJoel93

I agree that niether of us can possibly be 100% certain on the matter of God

I also have absolutely no problem with you believing in anything you want.

I like all sorts of music ranging from Heavy metal to hip hop to rave and blues and beyond.

Other musicians I liked who were around in Depeche modes early era were those like Kraftwerk and Geogio Moroder.

How about you?(I'm gonna have to check out Undisclosed Desires by Muse to see what you and the other chap were getting at.

  • @RandomVortex I think its great that you can embrace other peoples beliefs even if they are the opposite of yours, thats the sign of being a strong and understanding person, I mainly listen to rock, all kinds really, but I do like to listen to electronic music too, hence why I am here lol I do also like rock mixed with classical music, muse are my favorite band and they cover every type of rock, from hard rock, classical rock (queen style), progressive rock to electronic rock

  • @IndianaJoel93

I just checked out Undisclosed Desires and I kind of see what you mean.(It does sound a bit Depeche Mode-esque.)

    Cheers.

  • @RandomVortex no problem, there is a song on their 4th album called map of the problematique that has a very very similar cord arrangment to enjoy the silence, but it is more rock oriented

  • Best Depeche Mode song ever.

  • I <3 Depeche Mode. :D Amazing song!!

  • Brilliant song! The best song in my opinion from the Speak and Spell album. Thanks for posting this video!
